After watching Smallville's refreshing "no tights, no flights" policy on superheroes, who else would like to see the DC characters alt costumes as just regular street clothes? E.G. Superman would be Clark Kent with the glasses and suit, Batman would be billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, etc. I think it'd be pretty neat, even though it would be imbalanced with the MK characters who really don't have any secret identities. Would be anyone else down for this, though?

It'd be awesome if the masked MK characters had to show their secret identities as well.

For example, Sub Zero would go without mask, wear a simple black stripped down training gi.

Scorpion would be in flaming skull mode with his torn up clothing all ablaze.

If reptile is in ninja form, he'd be in lizard form.

And so on.

i like it!
No way. Fighting some buff looking dudes in suits and nice hair would ruin the game's feel and look dramatically. I wouldnt want to be a ninja fighting a guy in a business suit and glasses. They just need to add another costume for their alt.

Clark Kent.....

Don't think I'd feel right hitting a guy wearing glasses.

Flashback to Batman 1989:

Joker: "You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses would ya?" (puts on glasses)

Batman: *smack!*

Maybe for some of them. Not all though. For example I'd rather Batman's alt was more similar to his Batman begins costume.

Just want to note:Smallville broke their "no flights" policy with Clark flying in Season 3 and having Brainiac, Bizarro, MMH and Supergirl fly as well thru out the series, and rumors have it Clark will don the suit or some kind of suit by series end which will be next year.

Anywho, it's an interesting idea but I don't think it'll happen. I'd rather see alternates of DC costumes.

CK aka Supes=Black suit or darker suit

WW=Street WW look from the comics

Flash=gold suit

MMH(if he's in) morph into his human self which would be badass

Catwoman has a few alternates

Are you serious?

I don't exactly have the most faith in the MK team, but I'd like to think they've got a bit more design flair than; 'man in dark kashmir sweater and slacks.'

When you've got decades of alternate outfits to choose from, it would seem like a total waste of space to loiter on the mundane.
MK's very much from the school of gaudy superhero design, whether deluded fans realise it, or not. I think if we can't expect Special Forces agents to dress appropriately fifteen years on, we should just embrace the over-the-top. You have enough consistency and you wind up developing your own rules, and an artistic identity that transcends the material.

... And let's be honest. MKDA Jax' alt was a stern warning for what can happen when you know too much about your heroes! UNCLEAN!!! FEET OF CLAY!!! tongue

This is a terrible idea for alts. There are way cooler costumes to choose from instead of their secret identitiies.

Also the guy who created Superman said he got the idea for the costume from gymnist in the circus.

Why exactly?

I actually think if MK was to have alternate costumes, this should happen... to those who have secret identies.

I won't insult anyones ideas "calling them lame" or anything but I do disagree with it.

Just give me the 3 costumes with some edit features perhaps

Not exactly the worst idea anyone's ever had, but I'd still prefer alternate costumes to be things like costumes of the past or alternate universes, like First Appearance Batman, Red Son Superman, or MK3 Sub-Zero.

Because I don't like the idea of looking like a tool fighting in a suit and glasses. Johnny Cage did the whole suit thing already and it was ugly as fuck imo. Its something thats really hard to take serious.

Isn't this game supposed to be dark? This idea is honestly a joke and it would be an even bigger joke if the MK team decides to do this. No offense Kombat.
