Even in MKSM the morphs had a lot of lag, so here's a theory.

Did it ever show Shnag finishing the soul steal in the trailers? No. Why? Maybe after he finishes, he morphs into them maybe?

Not a chance.

No offense but that idea is completely stupid. Soul steal should just add a little health. No morphs. they'd probably be too laggy anyways.

I made this same thread a month+ ago, it's an interesting topic I think it can be done but most likely won't be, besides morphing in a 3D game will take more memory and load at least a little bit, so no need for it.

MK:SM Vash, you're right but also remember it loaded and slowed down the game whenever he morphed.

Casselman's idea is interesting. I think it could work.

Either way, whether he gets the morphs or not I'm sure he'll play interesting.

Maybe he can have a few different specials with morphs

Though it could be interesting to see it happen, I highly doubt that Shang Tsung will morph in this game, but you never know.

Too much memory dedicated to one character. To much time to program it all...not enough money to go around to get it right....and keep it right.

For a single player game it could work. Be less stuff in the game to do though.

Well they can do a PC crossover and with enuff horsepower shang could
morph again or have that option that he can if ur box can handle it.
I do miss that trade mark about him. Some how they should bring it back.
Iam sure they can figure something out to make it possible.

After much thaught, I am sticking wiht my statement, HDD will make it possible. HOWEVER, I do not feel that the MK team has that much ambition as to please the fans to every level and will most likely repeat history and fall a little bit short. None the less, this game looks amazing and I cannot wait.

I'm pretty sure he won't otherwise we would have seen it by now. I just hope the MK team at least tried! Their laziness with game is really starting to piss me off.

More like impossible to please the fans of every level, in which that's too much to ask for anyone, any game, any company...I don't think anyone should judge again based on such a trivial matter, but this is the MK fanbase where people bitch about eyeliner and lips...*shakes head*

With discs (cd, dvd or bluray), the loading time is a big issue. But with the hd in consoles, this problem can be minimized. Of course the ram memory must support the morphs...

Yeah, after seeing his gameplay I doubt he'll morph but won't be necessary. He has his fireballs and soul sucking moves which are coolsmile
