Wouldn't that explain an emotional adaptation to the norms of the psychopaths surroundings though? (or a behavioral adaptation, which would be emotionally motivated by the "need to be accepted" in some fashion)
Basically, wouldn't that be a form of emotional distress?
i.e. = psychopaths have real emotions....they're just harder for a general eco-society to accept or relate to.
psychopaths need "love" too.

It depends. It might be curable if you weren't born with it. (I know I wasn't)
Real psycopaths have no emotions whatsoever.
Most people who have some of the traits of psycopaths that do have emotions are more likely to be Anti-social. (this is probably where i fit in)
The sad thing is that the change from the lower level of psycopathy to all out sociopath is very subtle and difficult to detect.
For instance, let's say that a patient with lower levels of psycopathy gets help. Does that person get better? Or do they just learn how to hide it better?
These are the things that keep me up at night, wondering if i'm just getting worse. I think the fear that i'll mess up is what makes it so bad.
I'd like to think that love would help the problem, i'm not sure though. On one hand, it might complicate the problem, on the other hand it might help lessen the inadequecy I feel.
