Anything over 30 makes me worried. MvC2 is arguably...no, wait...it really *is* the most broken fighter of all time (and that's saying a lot from an MK fan). Sentinel/Cable/Storm/Magneto...no, don't do that shit again.

Keep the cast limited, and focus on the gameplay so you don't wreck it with infinites and glitches like you did last time, Capcom. The more characters you throw in, the more busted it's likely to become...

Fuuuuuuuuuck THAT! If by ''broken'' you mean ''funnest'' I agree. I like Marvel vs Capcom as a wacky, action packed ridiculous visual spectacle. The more characters the better. To be honest I'm pissed off there aren't at least 50 characters.

By broken, I mean that a single hit can lead into an infinite loop using character swaps and assists.

No, that's not "fun" unless you're the one who gets the initial hit, and are a sadist who enjoys wasting people without them ever really having a chance. Personally, I like BALANCE in my fighting games. I prefer competition, not capitalizing on unintended exploits that reward glitches and not skill.

And if you use these tactics, let me know so I can avoid you online. Yeah, YOU'RE having fun, but nobody else is. Hope it makes your day to know you had to cheap your way to victory.

In the new issue of Official Xbox Magazine, it confirms that Dr. Doom, Super Skrull and Chun Li will also be in the game.

The way Super Street Fighter 4 is going, I don't even think I'll need a MvsC3 in my life. I already have the best fighting game to date in my console at the moment.

That said, Guile needs fixing. I don't know what asshole at Capcom thought a nonpunishable projectile was a good idea. Other than that, the game is balance galore.

Use anti-projectile maneuvers, like Rose's reflect, Zangief's banishing flat/lariat, Hakan's oil up, Cammy's spin knuckle or Guy's elbow dash.

Or simply FADC and get up close.

Agreed on Guy's E. Dash and Cammy's spin, but the other's don't really make the grade as far as punishing goes (not sure about Gief, as I don't use him).

FADCing... well, yes and no. But mostly no. Though I've seen many people try it successfully, it's damn risky given Guile's recovery time, and many of the characters I use just don't have the wake-up game to risk a knock-down.

Hakan's EX oil is okay for evasion from the other side of the screen, but without a wealth of meter, he just doesn't have the arsenal to break through Guile's "wall" (most competent Guile players aren't going to fall for slides). Same situation with Rose really, cause if she reflects from mid screen, I'm pretty sure she'll eat a jump-in combo (though reflect absorbing from mid-distance is really hard. I main Rose and I can't even consistently do that). With her, I think soul spark then FADC toward Guile is the best bet for getting space.

But that's the problem: I shouldn't have to waste EX-meter to punish a poorly-timed sonic boom. Best case scenario is chip damage or hopefully a throw if Guile doesn't tech it.

Practice zoning and placement. If a character throws a projectile and you're too close, back dash then FADC to place yourself in a better position.

It's also fun to place yourself in sweep range when you knock Guile players down, then start a focus, and backdash out of it at the last second. They tend to try and flash kick on the wake up, and it whifffs, leaving them wide open.

I would be safe, yes, but it shouldn't come to that IMO. If the Shotos shoot a hadouken at that range, they suffer for it. Guile doesn't, and given his assets, I really don't think this should be the case. Perhaps the methods above are more successful than I give them credit for, but I just don't see what deficiency could be so bad that it warrants a character having a nonpunishable (even if evadable) projectile.

I don't know if you've been watching the NorCal tournament stream, but Justin Wong went up against a Guile player yesterday (Lamerboi, I think), and although Wong ultimately won, he was beaten two consecutive rounds before getting his act together. That should say something. I know that Wong and Daigo aren't the final word on tiers, but I'd take it at least as an indicator.

I'm not the best a baiting, but that sounds like it would work better than my delayed cross up.

To sum it all up, there is a lot of Deadpool and not much of my childhood idol Ryu.

If this game plays anything like TvC then it will be awesome. Three button, crazy specials, deep gameplay, that's what people love about MvC

But I hate how Seth is carrying the idea that everyone needs to be broken so the game can be fun. No they don't! MvC2 is a terrible game when you get in depth with it! It is unbelievably broken. TvC is a fantastic game, and has a ton of depth. Everyone is viable in that game, even Roll. Really hope MvC3 isn't broken

Still think Felicia was a poor choice given the Darkstalkers cast. Too bad Anakaris doesn't flash his tits and ass all over the place.

This game,as of now,is nothing like MVC2,it's more TVC than anything but according to Nitsuma-San,the producer of the game, the actual builds of the game are resembling more to MVC2,Capcom has optioned to TVC gameplay to bring casuals to this game,so old fans/players of MVC2 are mad right now at MVC3 having more resemblance to TVC than MVC2,the same is applied to the button line up of MVC3,i understand them in a way,the old players of MVC2 have been playing the game for years, and i dont mean Cable/Sentinel/Magneto,im referring to them as dissecting the game to the core taking aout all that impossible shit and combos the game has.

really three buttons are all you need for a game like this. TvC brought casuals in sure, but it also turned MvC's broken ass into a balanced fighter
