I think Midway will continue whether it be under this investor turned owner or another owner. Anyways, MK will most likely continue, one game can't kill a series (special forces didn't), so quit blaming everything on MK vs DC, it's not like the all DC fans were to excited about it either. Look, at worst, Midway will be shutdown and MK will be gone forever (future game install ment wise, unless some buys the rights), at best: Mark Thomas wil either act as CEO or place in a CEO or sell it to some one else, and things run as good or more efficienlty as they are now.

Well as stated above...Boon is to blame. Though I'm glad to be getting recognition ^_^

On the contrary Boon is not to blame for this, Midway is. The higher ups have been fucking up the past few years financially. That's what caused this, not Boon....notice when MK D came out they had same shit but managed to survive it and MKD is arguably one of the worst, broken MK games to date. Fun game I admit(before any MKD fans jump on me) but come on even I know this by now as the most well known MK fan on here lol.

This is a simple consequence of mismanagement and Midway telling their workers such as the MK team to "rush their games" and not put out enough of other good, popular games besides MK. It's like they just relied on MK and nothing else the past few years...

that sounds about right to me, it does seem they been relying on midways MK for a while now most popular games get more time to work on their sequals or at least choose when to release it to have enough time to perfect the game, midway has been getting only a year or so to work on a new MK games which just isn't enough

Although the Team works in bad conditions they still are able to do great job.

Great or decent that is just personal opinions .It sems that you are kind of quick play gamer .You dont go deep in your games .Trust me if you have a little of what an fan has you wont say MK:D is decent while it has its Konquest mode .

I agree about playability being irrelevant to personal taste. However, you're wrong about the earlier games.

People still want to buy the old Mk games, and are still playing them. For example, UMK3 did well on XboxLIVE. Don't remember what the Ps3 owners got, but I don't doubt MK did well there too.

For one person that thinks SF is the best, you'll find one that says Tekken is. For one KI, another MK....etc, etc....that is all personal view anyway.

But ports such as UMK3 that sold well between 360/DS and MK2 for PS3 prove that the MK team can pull classics and still get a great reception. And MK:DA was actually the most balanced out of the 3 3D MK games. I still say MKA is hated on for silly reasons....but hey, MK vs. DC is a very good game. The comp online is also staggering compared to MKD And MKA......believe me, I'm on the game EVERY night lol. There's tons of people online, I didn't see that reception with MKD and MKA sadly.
