Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you voting against me. But there is something that I do not, and will never understand about voting for these tournaments.

You said the complexity of my lines were too long to flow? It all depends on how you rap. Now as far as the complexity issue, I guess I could have written something along these lines.

Now I'm sorry but if someone were to spit that at an actual battle, they would either be boo'd off stage, or laughed off. One of the two. Yet here it seems that the simpler raps get a "warmer welcome" so to speak.

But on the other hand, you've got guys like GhostDragon; who use complex words and talk about ninjas and thunder gods and they get all of the votes.

I just have trouble understanding. I've won some battles with "simple" raps, and I've lost some. Then I figure I'll change my style a bit, and put more thought into my rap. Some vote my way others don't. But it seems that some voters who would have previously voted for me are now voting against me.

Take NeoScorpion for instance. I guess it was in the last battle thread, I tried to change my style to be more "complex" and not just write easy ass rhymes. I believe his exact words were, LinkinParkFreak has come a long way....believe you me." Now he is voting against me because I was being "complex".

Not trying to bitch, just having a hard time understanding some people's logic when it comes to judging these things.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's the main problem with trying to read music. Sometimes you can hear//feel the rythm in the ryme, sometimes you can't. Paragaph breaks and all that help, but not always.

For nstance, I rap fast as hell sometimes. It just so happens, that kind of rap is extremely hard to interpret when it's only read. More commonly, those are battles that are compramised for me via the internet. And it's been said to have the similar problem: "great content, but too complex".

But in real life, when I rip fast, it separates me from the competition, undisputed.

So you see, for me its never content...it's being able to hear how it sounds. A luxury we're short of on the internet....so it seems.

I meant no offense, but you might have gotten a little frustrated when It looked like a hunanomous victory until I pointed out a possible flaw. Hey, if you are rapping out loud, a steady, longer flow would probably sway the votes your way. Whereas on the internet, most of your audience will repeat your rap with a generic beat, For Example: a less complex pattern such as A

Rather than something a little more complex like A-B-A-B-A-B-A-B-A or others. This is the reason why I wrote my rap with the generic type of beat.

NOBODY, is saying that lpf wasnt good.... it was complex, I ddint agree with all the points that the dude I quoted said, but I did agree with his post, why? because he had some strong punches, and punchlines is what does it for me, its the bread and butter of a rap battle, youre not writing a song, youre not making a personal statement, youre just out to make an ass of the opponent, and he had a couple lines that he got at you, plain and simple... when it comes down to it I dont look at the name of who wrote what I look at the content and see which one made me say 'nice'

My vote's gonna go to TheSilverSurfer. I think Parody let me down in the second round dramaticlly from his first battle. And even though that's my word, I think that....ThSilverSurfer didn't seem to come with anything close to the same "fire" he did in his first battle either. I could feel the effort, but the content didn't support the effort enough for me.

Over-all I think this was a really good match up though. Tough choice between the two..
