I am saying that they are "good" last gen rendered graphics(since THAT's what these threads are for. To discuss the new RENDERS). And then, I actually do the comparisons. The purple segment example that I gave, is a MKA render of Shinnok. The rest of those examples, are large square segments of MKvsDC pre-released rendered graphics(batman, sub-zero, scorpion, superman). And I swear, as plain as day, you CAN see the same thing (technique//effect//whatever) used on the OLD render, that is used on these new renders. And it's on ALL of them. It's the same graphics technique, seemingly copied and pasted on these new ones.

And that doesn't look good for a 15+ year old game franchise, it looks terrible given the circumstances. I expected better from them. Is there a problem with that?

The only way you don't see that, is if you are simply "Wowed" by the fact that it's a new picture of an old character. OR, you like the design of the character more than me........Which, like I said, I'm not gonna blame people for that. It wouldn't make sense for me to blame people for that when this is a fan site, get me? It just makes it overwhelmingly evident that you don't know better. heheheh...Which I'm also cool with that, because everybody is not gonna know their way around graphics.

BUT, telling me "Oh you're crazy the graphics look awesome" is hilarious to me because I can see it. AND I can show it to you, AND I can explain it to you in lamens terms. lol

Look, you ever had somebody try to sell you something you already had and didn't want again? THAT's what this is with a little more photoshop (or maya, or Ue3, or whatever program) time put into it. That's how you get the dirt, scars, veins, and the "magic effects" that you see on these renders. I do it all the time when I make you guys signatures, or alter your pictures, or make you guys animated avatars....lol Actually KW, you deal with "layers" when you make signatures right? Well, it's the same principal dude. Just a different program.

Well, you take the original, and either manipulate it, or you used it as an example to get "a new one".

Point in all this is, I ADDED "effects" to theee ORIGINAL GRAPHIC. Not hard to see, or understand. LmaO!

The only thing "awesome" about these renders, is that they are "New" pictures of the characters. The graphics themselves...look bad = old.

I am saying that-THAT tendency, is a bad thing to do IF they are trying to pass last gen textures off as new, next gen textures. That's terrible for them to take something that we just finished buying with MKA, and put it out there for people to buy again in a new game.

Since it's all over the renders, the renders LOOK BAD. There's no real graphical improvement. It's just a"new" costume. hhahaha...

It looks bad that they haven't improved considering they got new technology in this "modified Unreal 3 Engine". Looks bad that they haven't accomplished real skin or metal textures. Looks bad that the same cloth textures that are on Sub-Zero, and even Scorpion, who are from the MK universe, is also on Superman and Batman, who are from a totally different franchise and universe. Way to pay attention to detail MKTeam.....can't even distiguish that they should have a separate feel about them considering they won't have the same taylor. HA! And then it really looks bad when all of them share graphics with the MKA Shinnok render.

Honestly, the first thing I did was laughed. Because it is laughable...but it's undeniably a bad moral judgment to sell people something old and try to pass it off as "new" and "refreshing". And then it's a bad graphic decision to try and establish "next-gen" with old content and methods for the first entry to these new consoles. That, my friend, is terrible. heheheh..

They didn't do this when they "started all over" with MKDA. The difference between MK4 & MKDA is irrefutable, graphically. W-t-h is the problem now? Hha!

Anyway,

I am also not saying anything about the game mechanics//gameplay. Nor am I judging that, because I can't....I haven't played the thing. But that's y'know, "duh". This thread ain't about gameplay, so you don't see me talking about it. (for anybody who hasn't noticed that). I'm talking about what this thread was made for. And that is, to critique the characters design and the graphics that the MkTeam are currently using for this game.

So, what is wrong with me stating my opinion when that's what I'm supposed to be doing?

Again, like I said with my first post in this thread: The design is alright, but the graphics are bad though.

Any questions? rephrase: Any Logical//Reasonable Questions?

I don't know how much more simple I can put it than that...but I'll try if necessary.
