i don't see anything bad about this new game, but there must be sumthing if it got a T rating and all other MK games got an M

in the new mk they took out some of the good features like creating a finsher and a person and a lot of good ppl like reptile and noob and rain and kinsh dude but they let barrka be in it and if they let hero be in it why didnt they let daredevile in to replace kinshe you know or get the ppls advice for dc kombants or mk fighetrs i was pretty mad about that they got rid of my fav ppl
BUT THE MK PPL NEED TO LISTEN AND FIND OUT HOW TO GET THE GAME RIGHT

i kinda miss the R1 grab in mortal kombat armageddon , each character had their own unique grab. Also the way the character gets up after being defeated in armageddon i thought that was cool i think they should have also done that in this game. Plus the fact that the game had so few characters unlockables and levels. The rest im OK with.

I can't believe they nerffed Scorpion so bad! His Hapkido style was awesome and has been one of his trademarks since Deadly Alliance.

With Hapkido he had a wide variety of combos, some long, some short, but all effective if used right. In MKvDC he has like 2 combos that are like 3 hits maximum.

The only good thing about Scorpion in MKvDC is his special moves and finishers, but even then they gave one of his moves to Batman. Friggin' BATMAN??? He's the worst superhero in history, in fact, he's not even "super". He's just a bored rich guy with nothing better to do.

Yet in MKvDC he's one of the harder characters to fight against.... overpowered much??

Batman needs to die, Scorpion needs restoring, and Mortal Kombat needs to stay in the Mortal Kombat universe, cross-overs suck!! [/rant]

mk should have stuck with 2d. mkda was good for a test experimental game. the rest of the 3d games felt chunky and slow to me. BUT MK main problem is that they cant compete with 3d games because they dont know how to make them. they are not on par with virtua fighter and tekken. if they cant do as good or better they should have been hung it up. if an average fan of 3d fighting wants a game he or she is not going to buy mk. the team cant even make a fun fluid combo system and thats the most important thing for a fighting game. the only reason most people buy it is because of the name it has build up from the 90's. mk vs dc was just a joke!! Yeah and I dont but their games no more.

My only real MK/DC rant (aside from the few obvious overpowered characters who can be abused easily online) is about the combo challenges.

Did the crew just go with "whatever" combos and key in the ones they managed to get to work randomly? I mean, seriously...Catwoman's trial 10 isn't possible unless you glitch the character out of position...

It's a corner combo, yet the pro move doesn't connect in the corner, so you have to edge them in an "in-between" spot when it starts in the corner, and the last kick knocks them to another plane.

I like the complexity, but most of these are missing practicality. Street Fighter 4 has some ass-hard challenges in the combo training, but they're able to be done reliably, and they don't feel like some tester just randomly hit buttons and "accidentally" got some combos off, recorded the inputs, and shoved it in the game.

First of all, I don't own any of the new consoles. I'm still stuck with the PS2. Still, I'm a fan of the series (god knows why, they made so many bad games in the last few years.)
Now, I was hoping the next MK game would make me buy an Xbox or an PS3. I was hoping they'd make the ultimate fighting game, with great fighting mechanics, cool old and new character designs, good story, and maybe even the Kreate-a-fighter option.

Instead, MK vs DC comes. DC, really? Superman, Green Lantern, f***king Wonder Woman? Sure, I can imagine MK vs Gotham's finest villains, maybe something named "Arkham Kombat". Batman, Lobo, Catwoman, Ra's al Ghul, Zsasz, Scarecrow, Two-face, Killer Croc, Gorrilla Grodd, Joker and Harley Queen. I mean, I can imagine them fighting the MK characters. Those guys are crazy, violent and dark. Heck, Ra's al Ghul is almost a MK character! But instead we get Captain Marvel and the Flash in spandex. That's just a bad crossover, sorry.

So, ok, maybe I could live with the capes and the "heroic" DC characters, if the designs were good. So I look at the roster and the character renders for MK and DC heroes. BLAND! BORING! LAME! The MK characters are sporting some really really lame costumes, Baraka's face (though at least he doesn't look like a melted pumpkin) is still far from the one I remember. I look at all that and I'm thinking "This could have been made on PS2". Why go next-gen, on stronger consoles that allow for more interesting characters and better details, if they end up in a skintight spandex? I can make a better looking kreated figher on MKA, for heck's sake.

So needless to say, I'm not buying an Xbox for this game. Show me MK9 and we'd talk again.

I bought MK vs DC 2 weeks ago and sold it last week, game is way to short, story mode was the worst script ever and online is terrible, Tekken 6 is 10 times better.

This game WOULD'VE been awesome, IF it was M RATED. Hello?! C'mon, a true Mortal Kombat is NOT the same without it's blood and gore! And, DC characters, um, no.

the fatalities on the game are not as epic,But there cool.scorpians toasty was awsome.i cant believe they brought back such a classic fatality!What sucks is that there are no swords or axes.the fact that they took them out is stupid!Also no wepons in mk9 i hope they bring them back

well because making a t rated mortal kombat game isent a mortal kombat

i mean we have baraka in mk vs dc but his not violent well what i mean is in the past mk games baraka was much violent(in a mk game his fatalaty was stabing the victom in the chest and pulling the chest out withalot of blood)

i only needed to play this for the 45 minutes i tried it at my buddy's house. gotta say, if they made a dc exclusive fighting game like that, i would be much more likely to give it more than 45 minutes, but the pure reach of this ridiculous. mortal kombat and dc shouldn't even be in the same state at the same time, let alone the same game. and WHY not have sub zero rip the head off of Superman? if the two worlds were truly blending, then wouldn't it have been possible for the man of steel to retain most of his powers while also becoming more a man of flesh and bone? i don't see why not.
