I didn't get around to the muslce detail on the legs yet.

I used some of the ideas from the example pascal gave me and I think they helped. I'm pretty happy with the proportions now.

Or maybe I've just been starring at it too long.

Anyway I'm just gonna move on to the muscle detail for the legs now. The proportions look good to me and I'm pretty sick of tweaking it.

Actually, looking at it now, I think I'll just make the head a little bigger.

Wait, there's a Motaro in Konquest mode?

It may just be me, but it looks like the tail is off center or almost pasted on the picture. Do you have a picture from the back?

The tail is not attached to the body, I just have it there for now until I model it in to the body.


yeah, Motaro is in Konquest, He is in earth realm by a village and he gives you some coins. Then you never see him again......I think.

He's small in konquest, the same size as Shujinko. And the horse part of his body is not animated at all. It's just attached to the human hip bone and it moves with the front hip as if it was armor.

He looks pretty bad.

I was hoping you could fight him or something, It'd be kool if he was with his extermination squads and you had to escape them and fight.

I did some more tweaking to the torso. I rounded out the shoulder pectorals and the rib cage arch. I also added a little indentation where the clavicle shoulder and pectoral meet and widened his rib cage.

Now... I love this model just as much as the next man, and I know you're going for a unique look and aiming for having a real horse for his lower-body.. But it's just that the lower part of his body is way, way, way too huge. His legs look cool and all.. but his entire midsection/horse part looks like a tank. The front of his lower-body is really fat, too. I mean, ya' know... His legs practically look like itty bitty lil stumps. His entire waist is just too big (especially the front) and doesn't really match up with the rest of the body.

Holy Crap! Its been a few weeks since I've been here and your Motaro model seems to have changed dramitically, and for the better, it looks so realistic! I can't believe how much detail there is in it, its amazing. Whats the word I can use to describe beyond amazing? Oh well its beyond amazing! Congratulations! :D

Have you started doing textured bitmaps and working on detailed coloration of the model yet? It looks as though there is not too much to be done on the model itself so I'm just wondering when we can expect to see the aforementioned additions to it.

Yeah, I'm going slow on it. I haven't worked on it for like 2 weeks.

I just have to finish the muscles on the horse part and make the armor.

I'm working on it right now, I'm gonna try and get the modeling finished this week.

Update!

I added the muscles to the fore arm. fixed his ribs so they show more like in a comic book. Added a little more muscle def. to the back and shoulders. I flattened out the split between the pectorals, gave him some nipples, added more bone definition to his hands, added some muscle def. to the shoulders. And finally I got some work done on the front legs.

I got the back legs almost finished, I refined the muscles of the front leg. I totally remodeled the butt muscles. Added a vein on his rib cage and stretched his legs down a little.

I think I'll have all the modeling done tomorrow.

are you going to repose him and give him armor? PS does a centaur have 2 ribcages? just curious

A centaur has 2 rib cages.

One for the human torso and one for the horse body.

And yes I am going to pose him and build the armor.

It's going to be a totally new armor though, not the one from the game.

like chain male and knight horse armor, right? also, will he have a weapon? like a halberd?

I hadn't thought of giving him a weapon, but yeah I guess I can do that.

I'd leave him shirtless except for a leather strap to hold his weapon, showing detail and scars and stuff on his chest (but thats just me). he also needs more color variation and fur.
