I went on that site just last night and whoa those dudes are good as hell on makin sigs and shit. Wish my computer still worked so I could make sigs myself but it doesnt so I gotta wait til I go to school just to use GIMP (yes my schools computers have GIMP)

It was all B/W from the point after making the smudged base for the BG (Basically smudged copies of another render). Thanks for the comment! EDIT: MIN, I like the latest Noob sig, the smooth look and how the stocks are used.

Yeah but I haven't made a sig in forever but after just lookin at some the SOTW winning sigs (by the way I saw you one of SOTW using that Cloud sig with the cool text) and others I got so many different ideas and styles. Now all I need is a computer to make these ideas come to life.

hey how do you make a vectored render in GIMP?

well.. here's how I used to do them
Fisrst, posterize the pic. to a level that looks like it would look good vectored.
Then, select by color, and transform selection into path, then select path and fill w the color. What this does is make the edges nice and smooth like a vector should. Do this for all the colors and u should get something like THIS!

I also traced the paths and moved them arround for the lines and the blue spots for fun

Simple sig... Made in 6 mins.
