I love how you made him look like a warrior monk this time around. It fits with his element somehow. However, it is not really befitting of his personality. As mentioned above, Rain has alot more violent personality. Overall, a great concept of art though.

Looks sick, but maybe a bit too passive.

I personally still have a hard time looking past the overriding uniformity that I think MK needs to distance itself from, but this is a pretty good effort just the same. I personally feel Armageddon's Rain design made a better effort to adapt the palette swap look, with touches that felt fitting to the character. As a subdued, perhaps Kahn influenced outfit, I think it's got some nice touches, though. A bit more Arabian than I would've expected of an Edenian, mind you.

Needs to lose the hood and V-shaped vest. Rain is better when he's distancing himself as far as he can from the ninja archetype. He has no reason to keep any of it in his design.

First time I've ever seen an Middle-Eastern influenced ninja outside of MKA but I like it. Adds some mystery to him.

Really? Edenia got pretty Arabian lookin' in Deception. I'd describe the whole realm as Camelot meets Aladdin.

Yeah, also If the desert is part of Edenia, I think the look fits. Kinda like a desert ninja; the veil and hood would protect from sand storms and the sun.

I actually like that you're keeping the uniformity in your ninjas. It's a great reference to old school Mortal Kombat, and they're all different enough to be unique and interesting designs.

I like how peaceful/monkish it looks. Rain is an evil dude, but he ́s not a savage beast like Baraka or Reptile, he doesnt need to look like a bloodthirsty killer. I think this is a pretty cool concept when matched with his personality. He reminds me of the calm, and somewhat friendly vilain type characters... like Xellos from Slayers...

Sometimes though, i REALLY really wish Rain had kept that "rogue Lin Kuei" storyline... it would be IMO way cooler for character development, instead of some random edenian w powers who ended being the bastard son of some god that popped up in Armageddon. In that case... this outfit would still be cool lol

I think tho if Im honest its bacause I really dislike Rain as a character, and I think the ninja-thing has been done to death. I undersand you're kinda going somewhat back to original concepts with modern twists, but Im not feeling it. Sorry.

I agree with whoever it was taht said Rain should be taken away from the ninja thing completely. Even his hideous MKA design was too ninja-esque for me.

Seemed much more European, to me. I don't remember encountering much of anything with a Middle Eastern bent... If it was going to swirl something else in, I would've expected an Asian flavour.
