Cyrax and Sektor Star in MK Legacy Finale!Fans of Mortal Kombat: Legacy will have a long wait for the final episode. Typically released midnight Mondays, the ninth and final episode will be held off for a debut at San Diego Comic-Con International, held July 21-24.

Series director, Kevin Tancharoen, broke the news via Twitter [June 5th], where he also showed off the Cyrax costume helmet that will feature in the finale, earlier in the week [full story].

'Bad News: there will be no new episode next week. Good News: we will premiere the new episode at Comic Con!!!!'

The final episode will feature Shane Warren Jones and Peter Shinkoda as Cyrax and Sektor -- Lin Kuei warriors who are mechanized to become souless cyber-assassins. Introduced to the series in Mortal Kombat 3, the characters spent their early episodes programmed to hunt rogue clansman, Sub-Zero.

The plot of the Legacy finale is expected to detail their transformation from men to cyborgs. The pair will appear in full cyborg form, with designs inspired by the recent Mortal Kombat video game, as seen in trailers.

With details regarding the forecast DVD and Blu-Ray release as yet unknown, an announcement may materialize at Comic-Con. Rumors continue to swirl about a possible second series, or spin-off movie.
