And none of the main Mortal Kombat characters are particularly deep except for maybe Reptile.

I also see the similarities between his chain swords and Scorpion spear, which I hope they dont base moves for Kratos off of Scorpions style.

I like the idea of no guest characters for 360. That way maybe some of the fans who don't want a game with Kratos in it will have that option and so you avoid people not buying the game because of it.

Well, they've also both dealt with Heaven and Hell extensively as the story demanded them to. Both "revenge" characters... both lost wife and child.

Both "war" characters... etc.

I LOVE MK and loved it wayyyyyyy longer than gow BUTT, i KNOW KRATOS WOULD RIP EVERYONE IN MK TOO SHREDS you know it tooo. lol kratos always fights people stronger than him and he is a GOD, the HEAD GOD. dude KILLED ZUES in his FINAL GOD FORM. now just take an eye test.....whos more powerful zues or raiden.........zeus. he's the head god of thunder.. raiden is part of the elder gods. and even if raiden is just as strong as zues kratos would still win. and plus the titans are very strong and kratos kills them too.

We just had an MK game with fucking Superman and Wonder Woman, and people complain about THIS? Seriously, Bozo the Clown could've been revealed at the VGAs and I wouldn't give a damn. This game is already the best thing to happen to the series since UMK3.

Not necessarily. Look at Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was also put out by WB. The PS3 version had exclusive Joker content while the Xbox 360 version didn't.

You know, NRS actually for once really had be believe that Mortal Kombat was actually going to be the stellar game that it used to be. At first I thought, NO absolutely not, there MUST be a catch. NRS making this many AMAZING announcements and releasing so many perfect trailers is far too good to be true.

But then, 6 months pass and I begin to think, "hm, really? No stupid gimmicky bullshit?" Alright then! Looks like Mortal Kombat is back. But not it looks like I fell right into their trap. They really had me going.

I bet , kratos is just going to be a ps3 DLC character , after all hes not going to be in the story line , and also because the gamestop ad came out after the trailer saying "pre-order now" so I assume if you pre-order it on the ps3 you can get him free , instead of purchasing him . nuff said . nothing to worry about .

how? Reptile's entire gimmick is that he fights for guys who are evil because he doesn't have the brains to realize he's being used. He's also The Last of His Kind (bonus points), and yearns for sex with a female. And he's an assassin.

Kitana? She was Kahn's hit-girl who turned on him once she learned she was royalty. After that, what did she really do?

I like Raiden and all, but he didn't do anything special till Deception. Hell, he isn't even IN MK3, canon-wise.

Scorpion is undead and out for revenge. The Elder Gods made him their champion but that didn't really go anywhere...except that they screwed him and now he wants revenge on THEM too.

Sub-Zero? Well maybe...he started out as an ice shooting guy, took over his own clan and tried to turn it good. That's an interesting life, but still not as much as Reptile.

Why are so many people butthurt over this? It's ridiculous. And even if you don't like him being made for the game...now that he is, why not just live with it? If he's going to be a part of the game, it's not like getting a version without him is going to be better. Some people are seriously ungrateful. It's a good game, enjoy it for that fact,. No need to nitpick it to death.
