I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but Jaded is right and this is kinda getting annoying to read. I mean, granted that a lot of you guys got disappointed with the story after it was all leaked to you. But I sincerely doubt that the story will be horrible to anyone who didn't bother reading the leaks/want to know it themselves.

Yeah, your hopes and dreams got ruined with what you read, but you can't keep telling users who never read the leaks or anything like that about how much the story sucks when they can find out on their own. I mean... it's your opinions on what you think of the story, but, you can't just expect everyone to hate the story.

I totally agree with this. I've noticed how many of those who dislike the storyline they've read from the leaks are trying to promote how bad it is instead of letting people having an opinion of their own...

Sorry, but no, it's not an opinion. Good storytelling does not have non-sequiturs and incoherent plot holes. And that those things are in there is completely objective

The amount of people who decided to give in to the spoilers,read the script and form an actual opinion about it is minuscule compared to all the people who remain unspoiled.

Just give it time until the game actually hits the shelves,and all of those people,including the casuals,see for themselves the amazing new story they've been missing out on...

No, you should read razor's synopsis and commentary (which would be hilarious if we were talking about something else). Forgot the title of the thread.

The script is the official info. Razor's synopsis is full of his opinion about it. Rather he forms his own opinion about it instead of basing it from someone else's opinion.

They should have put this MK/DC costume as Quan Chi's alternative costume and make a brand-new one for his primary. But I think it is somewhat forgettable seeing that Quan Chi is considered as hidden kombatant in this game.

Whats the problem with him having the amulet if he had it pre-MK1?

He ain't that well hidden. The dude shows up in more scenes in story mode than Sheeva, Ermac, or even Reptile and Kano do.

The problem is that he's wearing it out in the open when the fact that he has it is supposed to be kept secret from his boss, Shinnok, to whom the amulet actually belongs.

I didnt read the story mode, so I can be wrong.

But couldnt he be hiding it during story? If he just has it during vs mode, its technically not canon therefore can't that be overlooked?

So you're asking if he could wear an alt costume during the entire story mode?

We have glimpsed at least two instances in the game where Liu or Johnny wears their alt for a scene, but for the whole story mode? Kinda unlikely. If they were gonna do that, then why wouldn't they make the other costume his primary and make the MKDA one his alt?

I could be wrong, but I don't think NRS would bother cutting out the amulet from his belt in Story Mode, and then having it show anywhere else...

Yeah. I'm not sure that its TOO unlikely for them to just cut out the amulet from his primary costume during story mode.

IF he does wear it out in the open, I agree thats a big issue (unlike the tattoos, which I have no issue with).

But for the time being, I think NRS may surprise us.

You can call NRS lazy for re-using (Well, not really re- using) the quan chi render when they and should've given him an MK4 look, however...


MKvsDCU was set during MK3 time period.... So they actually fucked up twice for giving him tats in that game, too.

All the attention to detail was fine, I had NO nitpick AT ALL, but this is a major screw up.... It's almost too big to be a nitpick if you complain about it. It's a major continuity issue, and just because NRS likes the look, they didn't chang it and make it... Well,.,.. Make sense.

All in all, I have (maybe) 2 complaints about this game
