Just like with Sonya's Leg Split,it's the direction that redeems an otherwise stupid concept. I'm honestly surprised by how much I like it. The way Raiden just fucking SLAMS the poor guy on the ground at the end is just visceral.

i agree about the projectile thing. i do not think raiden overall is disappointing, its just frustrating nrs insists on ignorning mk1 and mk2 raiden and instead focus on mk4 raiden and up for his stupid, stupid, stupid white orb blobs that in no way look like electricity. with an unreal engine they still are not able to make an actual bolt, or bolts, of electricity to shoot at people? really? actually they did... there are bolts zapping the opponent during his throw. so... if bolt animation is already in the damn game then... oh cuz a white frosty comet is better. it makes me want to skip raiden as i will cringe everytime i am tempted to use a white frost comet projectile. pleeeease fix this before release, nrs. and... just saw his fatality which is ok. it doesnt suck but... the wallpaper is a total lie. where are the bolts of electricity frying the body? going by the wallpaper, i was hoping, and expecting, to see raiden blast a sustained current of electricity at his opponent frying them so bad their limbs start to explode off the torso, just like in the movie the lost boys. but i guess swiftly blowing frost comets is cooler. meh. here is hoping his 2nd fatal actually uses some sort of "frying" or ash and bone theme from mk1 snes.

I gotta say, everything looks grea, but those little blue balls Raiden shoots are pissing me off!!! They look terrible! and considering how cool Raiden's projectiles looked in MK1 and MK2... I am horribly dissapointed he has such a shitty looking attack!

Yes he did and they sucked then too, ever since they went from his early MK/MK2 electric bolts to a stupid lightning ball which makes no sense it has looked WEAK!

As far as the sound, they aren't going to sound any better in surround sound if the base sound effect sounds like a kiddy toy laser gun, all you'll hear is it going through different speakers but there is nothing that sounds electrical and it doesn't sound powerful, it sounds like someone making a "phew" sound and it sucks.

Kung Lao

Yeah that's really annoying, they have that cool electric shock up close but they can't seem to figure out how to use that as something to shoot across the screen. Also if that fatality was using a ton of tesla coils going from his hands and body to just shock the hell out of the guy it would look so much better than this white ball of fluff he shoots at them now.

This dude, loving the day/night changes to a lot of the stages, especially this one. Raiden looks pretty good too, pretty fast.

This video was a bit better. I appreciate the action in it, there are some noticeable new effects on things that were not there in the previous videos.

That fatality is horrid though... I'm still waiting for something more impressive from Raiden. Guess I'll have to wait to play it to see if there is more stuff they're just holding oout on.

Yeah that was just hilarious!!! asking for the game to be better and a god to actually have his moves show some power really means I'm crying. I wish message boards would actually be people trying to have conversations about things and not people trying to think they are whitty or trying to be sarcastic. The complaints I have about Raiden are valid and have also been expressed by other people, no reason for an obnoxious response and no reason to think one is funny either. Especially when the person comes on after and says "oh the sound will be better in surround" lol like having that weak sound effect going through a couple of different speaker will make it any less weak.

I have absolutley no gripes regarding his Electric balls. Although, tesla coils would definately have been better visually.

The Pit looks amazing with its strange weather. Be it a meteor shower or liquid hot magma(Dr. Evil voice) from the volcano, its gorgeous.

Raiden's fatality is utterly fantastic. I have been trying to avoid seeing the fatalities, but my curiosity got the best of me when i saw the uncensored version posted (thanks for that btw). Oh and dude your post was NOT irrelevent. The guy posting that your post was irrelevent, was irrelevent. Follow me? I know you will. The other guy eeehhhh not so much.

I'm a major fan of Raiden's gameplay he looks as fun as he was in MKvDC.

His fatality is okay, I was actually hoping he used his electricity to barbeque the opponent instead of electricuting their limbs off . The slam at the end is cool though.

I like the fatality. I'm disappointed in how they can make our favorite character so normal compared to the others.
