Only about ten or so of the missing characters are worth bringing back, and some of them are probably being saved for the next game anyways (ie. Shinnok), so I've got no problem with them developing Jason and Freddy as an October treat. By then the game will have been out for six months and they'd probably be the last DLC pack as bonus thing anyways.

They'd sure as hell sell a lot more than Mavado or Bo Rai Cho (two characters that have fanbases among the MK crowd, but got nothing with the casual market whereas Jason & Freddy would get people who don't even own the game yet to go buy it).

Rather than be DLC, I would much rather Freddy and Jason were real and would brutally fatality everyone who mentions any part of that fucking Rebecca Black song. They. Must. Perish.

Seriously how has this BS of a post lingered on for 6 pages? I love Jason to death as well as Freddy! But C'mon they have ABSOLUTELY no place in a serious reboot-style game like this! It's ridiculous and insulting how many ignorant fanboys there are out there who even think that there is a single shred of truth to this horse sh** of an idea!! It would be like making Street Fighter 4 and then adding Chucky or Buffy the vampire slayer as DLC characters! Seriously, how pissed would you be as a dedicated SF fan at having something so random thrown into a game simply because it's feasible or viable through licensing agreements? (optional or not!) But you know, as I sit here and type this I can't help but think that there is someone out there who is going to read this and say: damn thats a great idea! I'm not trying to piss off those that may think this is a great idea, but these kind of crass-commercialism tie ins have a time and a place and its not in a MK game, and especially not in this one with the tone being that of a more dramatic game. You can save these types of tie-ins with crossover type games like MvC or whatever! And seriously why would NRS go to the trouble of creating and releasing these 2 characters over other absent MK fan favorites like Rain, Fujin or Tanya who have already gotten hundreds of votes on this very site to appear as DLC? It would be like the biggest insult from NRS to the fans and I can't see them doing that just to make a little extra money. In fact I would argue that it would actually lose money by driving away dedicated fans (like myself) by such a half baked idea. Well it's 2:30 am and I'm done ranting for now but it angers me how some people can get behind such abysmal ideas as these and support them just because they have an affinity for the DLC rumors in question. I should state again that I love both Freddy and Jason and horror movies in general! I also love tv shows from the 80's like MacGyver, Knight Rider and the A-Team, but I'm not sitting here like a moron praying that they add MacGyver, Michael Knight or BA Baracus as DLC characters! Seriously people grow a brain!!

The only recent thing that would contribute anything to this is that from what I understand, Hector kind of avoided the question and rushed through the rest of the interview when it was mentioned.

Of course, if this is true, it could just be Hector screwing with us.

honestly i gotta agree with this. yes i would vote with my wallet and just not buy it, however honestly just simply the existence of them as DLC would likely drive me to turn in the game for store credit because it would destroy the game wether i had them or not(putting up with them online and what not)

His response was to literally bound out of his chair and take off without a word. Did he panic? Is he trolling? Who knows.

K this is mk 1-3. Unless they expand the story through dlc there is little reason to include mk 4 and beyond characters.

Yes I want rain, and maby some more old rumoured mk1-3 characters. But beyond that fine, bring on the goofy geust characters. MK bloody fun times, slasher flicks bloody fun times. They fit better than kratos imo, and o wait yea U DONT HAVE TO BUY THEM.

Honeslty the only character you should be getting your panties in a bunch about not being included is rain, and we all know hes gonna show up eventually so CHILL (and if you really want the complete roster female kahamelon to). That and motaro but hes a boss, and people are quite indiffernt about him.

Freddy and Jason arnt going to have an impact on any of those mentioned characters, there either going to be in or there not, are slasher friends have nothing to do with it.

I don't give a fuck if they put the Power Rangers , Rebbeca Black and Dora The Explorer in the game, as long as they have a new play style thats all that matters.

Even with MK having a history of caring about its storyline, once you beat it with everyone, and it becomes an online competitive game, characters become defined by their play style.

When I play online, i really don't care about fatalities or the story anymore, I just want to play as the characters that fit my play style the best, and I enjoy playing as.

If Freddy and Jason are fun to play as, reguardless of their place in the story, they are two new fighters to select.

I wouldn't give a fuck if they put the Power Rangers in, but Friday girl needs to be drop kicked into the Pit.
