It was hinted at that subzero would die long ago even the kratos reveal trailer hinted at it.
My guess is scorpion kills subzero at the end of mk2 storyline and hes automated in mk 3.

Sub-Zero is my favorite character, and I've always loathed the idea of "Cyber Sub-Zero". That's a terrible idea that should be left to poor "what-if" fan fiction and Kreate-A-Kharacters in Armageddon.

It sounds legit to me, but I can only hope that it's a "what if" or something.

Can you imagine "Cyber Scorpion" or "Robot Kitana"?

Here's hoping they don't just flat-out erase the best character development in the entire MK saga thus far just because none of them had the bright idea to make a blue pallet swap of Sektor back during MK3.

Wasn't the elder sub extremely loyal to the lin kuei. if he hadn't dies berfore mk 2? I'm sure he would have the first volunteer instead of sektor to be automated. I really hope that if its the younger sub zero that its a what if scenario.

something I must hope for, I hope to the elder gods that its Sektor that captures him if this is canon, or even Sektor AND Cyrax to give them some more story progression and resolve to their porposes.

As a Sektor fan, again self-admittingly biased, I cant help but hope for revenge and that this happens after being defeated during MKDA era for control of the Lin Kuei.

There is not escaping the Lin Kuei, you may escape once, but We will just go back in time and murderlize you.

Yeah, using elder Sub's dead body to produce a cybernetic assassin and at the same time giving it the mission of hunting down Quai Liang would fit perfectly in the story. Especially now that Smoke is going to be human. This way there is a cybernized robot linked to Quai in blood.

But again, its just a wait and see scenario. Raging now won't help, we don't know what it will turn out to be. I doubt they will automate younger Sub-Zero especially since fans have made clear they DON'T want this for months now!

To be fair, so am I. But like I've said every time it's been brought up, this is seriously something we doodled with crayon when we were kids.

I might be on board with the body of the first one being used...though you'd figure Scorpion would have roasted the flesh off of his bones.

I'd laugh heartily if they called him Tundra...and laugh even fucking harder if he was the reward for clearing Challenge 300 (though if they're two separate trophies that's unlikely)

You know what, though? End of the day? Even if the worst case scenario occurs and the obvious "Sub-Zero is caught while Smoke escapes" scenario happens...

...we're still getting an MK game with a huge-ass amount of content, lovely visuals, deep gameplay, a beautiful soundtrack, visceral finishers, almost the entire original cast intact, and even if the story won't be the original three retold, even if everything goes fiddle faddle foo...I said months ago I'd take any characterization here and apply it to the older games to enrich my experience with them, whenever I play.

Dumb character or not, I've seen too much awesome for Cyber Sub-Zero to ruin this game for me.

4) It's reanimated corpse of Sub-Zero IV,Sub's father. Maybe Lin Kuei actually managed to retrieve his corpse somehow.

5) It's not a cyborg,but a robot. It has freezing abilities and shit because it was modeled after Sub-Zero,but there's no actual human underneath the armor.

She's already damn near naked, so how would a costume in which she has more clothes be called "greatest alternate ever?" When it comes to a character like Mileena, they can't be referring to clothes, but lack thereof.

Not gonna lie, I haven't actually read the Mary Shelly novel, but from what I understand from the movies/media, Frankenstein is more than just animated parts. He's alive with consciousness and brain activity. That wouldn't work with Bi-Han's corpse, because his essence is now out in the world as Noob Saibot.
