Bio:I had done my master Shao Kahn a good deed I killed princess Kitana.Now that Mileena had taken her place edenia was in grave peril.Tarkarten whordes had crowded the realm of beauty.Now their was some people stopping my master achieving his domination of earthrealm.Those were.Liu Kang,Kung Lao,Sonya,Jax,Johnny Cage,and my least favourite Raiden.It was my job to terminate Kung Lao though.Baraka got Cage.Tanya got Sonya.Shang Tsung got Liu Kang.And reptile got Jax.

Alternate bio:Many outworld warriors and earthrealm warriors had died it was just me and Raiden.I went for my trademark neon-punch.Raiden evaded with an electric teleport.He lifted me by the throat.He was electricuting me.Quickly I kicked air and got Raiden directly in the chest.I turned into the form of a Snake.Injected his leg with poisen.I re-formed back into a human.Out of no where Raiden was dead with Shao Kahns hammer right next to him.Yet again Shao Kahn proves he is worthy of emporer.

After Nitaras death I was the last living vampire I was told I could ressurect the dead with the dragon kings heart and was told a cleric of chaos Havik had it.I was to venture to Chaos realm and kill Havik.But when I go to places like chaos realm my mental health badly deteriorates.But I wouldn't let that stop me revive my dead vampire allies.

I went on the perilous journey to chaos realm.And it was the most confusing place ever people were hitting each other and saying thank you.But I couldn't let that get to me.My primary mission was to kill Havik.I then asked a resident were I may find Havik and resident said "I'm Havik" we then engaged in battle.As I brutally beat him it felt like my vampire allies were guiding me.

Some futre ideas for the character Shang Tsung


Some fatality ideas...


Ididn't so much like his fatality in mortal kombat deadly alliance so I think he should morph into the character he is against and give them an ironic fataility...Example Sub-Zero falls on an icilcle and dies.Kitana gets pushed over and decapitated on her fans...although I would really like him to have his spike fatality back but I'd like a bit more effort graphic wise put onto the spike bed...


I would like Shang Tsung to look like this










I've had enough with his longtime feud with Liu Kang I personally think Kang will get killed of in next generation games.




And the fireballs he has example 3-d fire you should be able to control it damage may vary depending on were you hit them...



Thats just my opinion.

i was doing some thinking about the base of the story and what should be the main drive to the next game....and i really would like to see the story lead back into a tournament type deal between all realms...

but anyways here is a sub boss character idea i thought of....i will try to draw up a pic eventually...seeings how it would be impossible to do in mka kak lol

Name: Insekutso

Gender: Male

Race: cybernetic humanoid demon/giant mantis

Origin: tekunin mutant science project

Weapon: retractable arm blades (kinda like the blades in the movie the gyver but more mantis like)

story/bio: created by Sektor and the tekunins clan...controled by a remote system Insekutso was designed to be the ultimate fighting technology to help the clan take over any realm they wish....but the special forces not knowing of Insekutso destroys the control panel to the cybernetic creature and unleashes the being by accident.Regaining Control of what mind he has left....Insekutso destroys everything in his path in rage of what a monster he has become....the Thundergod Raiden knotices Insekutso's vulnerable state...He makes a deal with Insekutso and plots an evil scheme to take over the realms and to rebel against the Elder Gods.

Here is another character idea not much to the bio but i think the concept is cool:

Name: Echtor

Gender: male

Race: barbarian ghost lizard

Appearance: a misty see through skin almost like smoke(kinda like fog),attire similar to the beastmaster but with a conan style twist

Origin: Outworld

Story/Bio: An ancient ancestor to Reptile,hundreds of years ago Echtor was a great leader of rebel warriors.His spirit form has been awakened by mysterious forces and now wishes to find and take over Reptiles body for reasons unknown.

create a mode ideas I was thinking about:

1) Create a stance,how would that work?
I was thinking that maybe there could be a list of upper and lower body positions to choose from and mix together...i dunno kinda hard to picture but its just a thought

2) An actual create a fatality,how could that work?
I am constantly wondering how this could be done because the first attempt wasnt anything at all like creating a fatality....creating a fatality would mean more like actually choosing each motion of your character and it should only be for kaks...the actual characters of the game should have traditional fatalities...for example lets say you make a kak and there is a list of movements and fatality gestures like motion of a grab to look like the kak will rip off the guys head or a motion to make a guy punch through a rib cage...ect...ect..kinda like creating a taunt but more interactions....it sounds a bit difficult but i wouldnt mind seeing something like that

3) my thoughts on a previous discussion on creating weapons...first of all i would really enjoy this mode if it was made into the game...especially if it was done right....the mode should have a bunch of styles of blades,staves, handles,staffs,axe heads and blades,basically a bunch of broken down weapons that you could combine together....like for an example....putting a rapier handle on a longsword or putting a ninja sword blade on each end of a bo staff....or even a sickle blade on a tong far type deal...there could be many possible combinations....im not saying in reality these weapons would be worth making but dont forget this is just a game...so weapon enthusiests and experts dont go crazy on this ok

the concept i posted in drifting's thread for scorpion ideas...i think it would be a cool little addition to special moves....being able to control projectile movements like kung loas hat used to be but instead of just one or a few certain characters...let all characters have that ability for atleast one special move per character
another idea to implement this idea of projectile movement control would be a lock on button....like nightwolf for instance has the bow an arrow special move....if you hold down a lock on button it would aim the projectile to shoot at the current position of the opponent....and it wouldnt be too cheap aslong as the projectile timing system is timed right....because if a player jumps and you shoot the projectile while he is in the air it will only hit depending on the distance away from the shooter because if the opponent is across the screen he will be standing on the ground by the time the fireball or whatever gets to the point where he was in the air...what do you think about this idea pred?

His name is Artic. He is sub zeros son he wants to keep his tradition of having to be the grandmaster of the linkuei. But another person is the grand master his name is glacier. So he wants to win the mk tournament so he can prove he is worthy of being grandmaster of the Lin Kuei. He has the same powers as subzero but with a little twist. He can defrost him self and teleport and uppercut him and can freeze his oppenents in the air. He has the skull thing that shao Kahn has on his stomach. He has the dragon move style and has the kori blade.
The Lin Kuei temple made of Ice has the Lin kuei dragon logo and a huge Statue of Subzero at the back. An oppenent falls into the statue huge ice spikes go through him.
For onquest u can pick any Mk character go around any where hit anyone like in shaolin monks and go to any realm u want to go to unlike Armageddon. The mini game should be like M.K.B. (mortal kombat basketball) A persons head. You can pick the heads from different species like tarkata, cyromancer, shokan, reptile, shaolin, and random people. You can pick where do u want to fight like the neatherrealm. Their You have one big hoop made out of bones and you can push your oppenents off and they fall in lava. Also in the lin kuei temple push a oppenent off they fall into something that turns you into ice and a pile driver crushes you. Also if you lose the game you will die by a fatality or a enviormenatl kill like in Puzzle kombat. wink Or a another mini game can be football. For crying outloud you made the blitz series.
Anothar great mode can be create a fighter you can make as much as you want unlike Armageddon. Create a Place you can use the stuff from other places that were in the past mk games. Or you can use new things and create the ultimate death trap.
The story line should be that Taven had won but has been killed by Shao Kahn by puting poison in his food and then that had paralysed him and shao kahn Used his hammer to kill him and now is the most powerful man alive and is immortal and it is up to you to stop him Or iternal treachery shall be upon all the realms. The name of the game should be called Mortal kombat Ressurection for the nextgen systems.

Death Likes to Play: I would like it if future fatalities could be changed.
What I mean is that every character would have a base fatality, and pressing buttons at a certain time would change that kill.
Example: Sub-Zero walks up to his opponent, freezes his arms and legs, and does a sweep kick. The legs shatter from the kick, as the opponent hits the ground with enough force to shatter his arms. That would be it at the base. If you press a certain button as he's walking up, Sub might get behind his opponent and start freezing his back. From there, he could do a spine rip or slam his opponent into the ground, shattering his spine.
Also, they could make unlockables out of the cues. You'd pay for a picture of Sub walking up to his opponent, not knowing what's up until you find out through the story mode.

Bio....


As I walked away from everything I ever needed I felt my satisfaction raise so high I didn't care what would happen to me.Some say I am a coward for leaving edenia in its time of peril maybe I am but I miss the part where I have to protect my mothers kingdom.


I then thought were would I go next would I go to my father...Shao Kahn...no because if I turned my back on him I would actually pay for it.I din't know were to go but then I met a man named Mavado.He knew I was of valuable sevice if he wanted to destroy the royalties of edenia.At first I refused to give him any information regarding my families whereabouts.


When he finally got the awnsers out of me he asked wether I wanted to join a weird faction called the red dragon clan.I was very cautious at first but I said yes nonetheless.It turned out I was the first female in the red dragon clan and this made me happy in a way.


It had been a while since I had joined the red dragon clan when one Hsu Hao told me to go on a mission...He wanted me to retrieve some weapons known as pulse blades from Sektors clan.A dragon known as Caro was forced to open a gateway to the tekunin clan I couldn't help but feel sorry for the dragon who has been imprisoned for millenias.


As soon as I reached the tekunin war ship a patrol guard instantly spotted me he ran towards me like a maniac wielding a pulse blade and before he could impale me I leaped in the air and kicked him in the face so hard his face kind of imploded...I knew he weren't the only one I would have needed to fight...Anyway I picked up his pulse blade and I would use this one to smite other memebers of the tekunin.


After killing a few hundred tekunin I recovered many pulse blades I returned back to the red dragon clan base.When I went inside no one seemed happy when I came back with the pulse blades.the leader Daegon then told me we've used you for what we want you can go now.I was outraged by this bertrayel and I deceided I would form my own clan and destroy all red dragons.




Fatalities:


1.She impales the opponent with her pulse blade wich makes them stagger around she pulls the pulse blade back out and she rubs the pulse blade against the opponents face which makes their face melt.


2.she runs over to the opponent and uses their shoulders to propell her up really high she lands on the opponents head splitting them in half.


Animality...

She turns into a jaguar and stalks the opponent ever so slowly an in a sudden movement ripps a gaping hole into the opponents stomach and the go on the floor and writh with pain she then eats the opponents insides.

Special moves...


1.A shadow kick where she gets her foot stook in the opponents foot and you move the analog stick around to deal the opponent damage while your foot is stook in there[The foot is only stuck there for five seconds]



2.This move is called pulsing light and it's where she scrapes her pulse blade along the floor really quikly and a shard gets into the opponents eyes and stuns them.


Her grab move would be were she jumps up and kicks the oppoent in the face multiple times.

i've made a character, and here's the 411-114 on him......

nickname:" Repear of souls"
age: unknown, but around 20's

hair color: black with silver highlights

bio: I am Reaper, a denizen of Outworld. I have been in Outworld since before Shao Kahn tried to take Earthrealm for himself. I'm been in hiding, honing in on my techniques. After Armageddeon came and went, i feel its my time to fight; everything starts fresh.

As i walk through the ruins of the Pyramid of Argus, i notice many dead bodies. One of them is Shao Kahn, and Shang Tsung! I realize now is my chance to rule the realms. But what is there to rule, exactly? Everyone is either dead or long gone from this place! I'll wait in the shadows until others arrive.

look:he body is cloacked in a black mist, that's hard to see his true bodily form. He has claws for fingers, and razor sharp teeth. His hair is about medium length, with black and silver highlights.

weapon: like Grim's sickle, except there's three blades where they're used ti be one.

specials: cam summon dead beings to do his bidding; make the ground collapse under the opponent: can make banshees screech, thus stunning thr opponent; finally,he can shoot souls at the opponent.

Fatalities: 1. he takes off the mist off his hand, revealing a bony structure. He touches the opponent, thus making their organs rupture from the inside- out.

2.summons ten skeletons, and makes them grab the opponnent , thus bringing them underground where they are eaten alive.

3. he tackles the opponent, and slits their throat with his sickle. He then, while they're dieing. breathes all the life out of them, killing them.

Hmph, how about a FPS like Doom? Original Doom. But with Scorpion. Having his sword or axe or what ever the hell he uses now. And have his spear thing to do a fatality move. To bring enemys in close range, and decapitate them.

I haven't read most of the posts on this thread, but I'm glad I found it, otherwise I'd just end up posting ideas in their own threads and it'd sink to page 1,000&whatever.

Uber-inspired by the news of the 1st truly next-gen MK running on the Unreal 3 engine, I started developing an overview storyline for the next game. It's going to be in two or three parts, or whatever my creativity demands grin . Dark, gritty, & as realistic as the MK universe will allow is what I'm aiming for here, so please, PLEASE give me constructive feedback on this...

Short qualifiers: when you read these, you may be able to guess who the only three characters from the old-gen I'm bringing back are gonna be... also, this is a work in progress. Things may or may not change as I see fit.
Part I: The Story of The Past

Around eight millennia ago, the mortals of that era used the ritual of a martial-arts tournament called Mortal Kombat in order to attempt to quell the chaos that threatened the then-many realms of existence. But, with the emergence of multiple fighters from each realm, the tournament itself became the source of that chaos. The Elder Gods tried to stop the coming catastrophe it would have wrought with a safeguard... an elemental warrior whose defeat would nullify the threat that the growing multitude of fighters represented. But it backfired; Blaze, feeding off of the energy of his opponents, became too powerful. None could defeat him, and with his victory in the final tournament of that era, every single realm of existence was laid to waste. And almost every living fighter to have participated in Mortal Kombat died a most gruesome death. Whether they represented the light or the darkness mattered not; they were consumed by the fire of Blaze's self-destructive battle lust.
However, there were survivors, though they were few and far between. Since that fateful day, the survivors who managed to find each other made a pact; neither they nor any future generations of offspring would ever engage in destructive conflict again, lest the tragedy of Mortal Kombat repeat itself. Many generations have since emerged and passed from the face of the realms, holding to the vow. The work of these generations, in rebuilding from the chaos of Blaze's victory, created peaceful and harmonious civilizations throughout the universe, the likes of which were only dreamed about by mortals of a previous time. All of this changed with the discovery of an ancient relic...

Nestled in a perpetually dark area of Earthrealm known only as the nightland is an enormous burial site. At the center of this burial site stands a stone wall. Etched into that wall is the story of Mortal Kombat, a reminder of the horrors that await mortals if they once again allow themselves to become reckless. The wall stands before a broken statue of a being commonly referred to as Raiden, an ancient god of Earthrealm long since believed to have been destroyed. Not much is known about Raiden, since most of his legend had never been passed on from the survivors of his day. It is known that he was a protector of Earthrealm, in a time when Earth needed protection. It seems, though, that such a time had long since passed; Fujin, god of wind and one-time successor to the mantle of "protector of Earthrealm", appears so rarely among mortals since the events of the last tournament, that most have come to believe Earthrealm has no more gods, and indeed needs none. The recent discovery of this monument drew the attention of the self-exiled wind god. Though any prophetic powers he had have long since deserted him, Fujin knows that no good could come of this seemingly minor event. It has also attracted the attention of a deity from another realm...

Fully interactive bios. (similar to soul caliber)

When you first enter this, the character is on the left side and a menu is on the right side. The menu could have something similar to the below:

- The character’s entire story (clearing up what’s canon, and if any retcons took place.)
- Music representing the character (I think this guy had the right idea for Liu Kang) Music can really set the tone for mood and personality among many other things.
- Fighting style bio, explaining how the character first learned their style.
- Weapon bio (similar to MKDA explaining how Reptile received his Kirehashi)
- Allies list and how they became an ally.
- Enemies list and how they became an enemy.
- Camera, allows the player to look at different views of the character.
- Arena bios, if the character has a specialty arena, it gives a description of why they acquire this land.

Title: Mortal Kombat


Story: Armaggedon has failed, the warriors heated war spilled over and destroyed Edenia. Siedo is in ruins, most of Outworld is inhospitible, Chaosrealm has remained untouched. The forces of evil, led by Quan Chi, have relocated to the Neatherrealm, while the forces of good, led by Fujin, have made Earthrealm their stronghold. Even those who were once blind to the dangers around them are becoming aware that something is amiss. As the warriors on both sides gear up for the next assualt, Tavon, the chosen son of Argus, is on a quest to find out why Armeggdeon failed. To find these answers, he must seek out the one who holds the key to everything: Argus. Meanwhile, the Elder Gods have taken matters into thier own hands, and created a new weapon to replace the failure that was Blaze, and named him Sorne. It is this new creatures task to not depower the warriors, but to kill them all. The time for mercy has passed. The next war is about to begin...whose side are you on?

The time for forgiveness and mercy has passed, all of them will die, and it is only a matter of time. Armaggedon has failed, and I am the one the Elder Gods created to deal with the survivors, one by one. Until they all have paid the price. I will start my hunt with the son of the shamed Elder God Argus, who was tasked with what was deemed the final solution for the warriors. Tavon, is his name, and he will die first, a warning to all those that I am coming, and not even death can hide them from my task.

Bio

I am Pain a former emperor of outworld who was overthrown by two delinquents know as Onaga and Shao Kahn who at the time were serving me and decided they had had enough.But it wasn’t enough for them just to put me in the shade and forget I even existed they had to banish me to the nether realm under the watchful eye of former elder god Shinnok who’s patience was wearing thin from the two warriors who were fighting over the meaningless crown of outworld.

When I arrived in the putrid nether realm Shinnok didn’t greet me with glee.Instead he decided to let his two cronies Moloch who had an almighty stench and Drahmin who had flies merrily buzzing around his putrid flesh.They came towards me and uttered the words “Lets eat” I didn’t really fell threatened by this as my skills as a warrior succeeded both of their fighting skills together.

So as they came towards me drooling a strange green substance a black wraith came out of the blue and struck both warriors and left them scurrying like Drahmins flies.He told me that the nether realm was no safe place for some one like me and I then told him my story about my problems with being the royalty of outworld.He seemed to have great understanding of my story.He then asked if I wanted to join a clan known as the brother hood of shadow at first I was sceptical and the wraith told me it was only until I had re paid my debt to them.I thought this was only fair as he saved me from having to fight.

When I reached a gothic looking temple many dark warriors leering at me so I just gritted my teeth and shook my head they then started snorting in disgust.When the wraith took me in the large structure he told me that his name was Noob-Saibot I shook his hand and he initiated me into the clan.Although many of these dark figures didn’t trust me and one even threatened me but I showed him that I was not the one you would like to toy with.But Noob didn’t condone these actions but I really couldn’t give one so I set of in the nether realm looking for a portal that got me out of this hellhole.

After many eons of searching for a portal or vortex of some sort I finally found a way out but as I was about to go into the portal I was stopped by none other than the supreme over lord of the nether realm Shinnok.He exclaimed that all who reside in the nether realm will never come out.He then said that I had a chance if I could defeat him in mortal kombat he then came out with something that was like a laugh and a shriek.I then vanished behind him and he started pointlessly looking around to find a trace of my body I then impaled him in the back with my vapour sword.I then coolly walked through the portal and when I came out of the other side I was very familiar with my surroundings I was in outworld wasteland...

Name: Gargantua

Birthplace: Toxic waste camp, from the future.

Story:
Baraka Is of course a mutant, but eventualy he will grow old and die, so he decided to implant one of his brain cells, in a mechanical body so he could live for ever. His Machine ran on Toxic waste. Shang-suo, was not very powerful, at that time, so he created hench men who could do his work for him. While Baraka was resting in a toxic waste dump, Shang-suo, was doing his evil experimets. He was turning all the Waste into lining creatures, at the same time Baracas machine, turned to flesh, and blood. At the same time hewas asleep, so he would stay asleep, untill some one woke him up. The only good thing was he was still emortal.
1000 or some years later, some unfortunate wanderer, woke him, he woke in uncontrolable anger. He destroyed him, that was when he realized how strong he was. He did some research on Mortal Kombat those days, and there was one. He despratly wanted to show his power, so he went back in time, and entered Mortal Kombat. He ahnniallated every one, accept Kung-Lou, who wet back in time t stop all of that from happening.

Game Concept

"Kill or be Killed"

The point here is to develop an extremely powerful, effective, and efficient team of characters(an army within, and throughout the realms). The game is about taking over all the realms and maintaining that status for a time, by killing off all threats to your ambitions, and creating a large enough "SafeNet" no matter where you travel in the realms.

To accomplish this, you must complete small objectives and meet your major goals. Some of the things you will encounter is:
Barganing//Haggling with locals and doing small favors, Bar fights and things of that nature...Running from or working with law enforcement....Killing off minor threats to your goals. "A local threatens to tell of your plan unless you...blah blah blah...."(Yep, cutthroats, backstabbers, snitches, and blackmail too)

Some of your team members can permanently die off story wise. In the end you will "find" out the answers to "Who dies in MkA?" But the thing is, how strong is their hold on their possition after they die? And do you still have control of their legions after that individual on your team is gone?

In the event one or more of your characters dies during gameplay however, you should be able to try and select an exceptable replacement for them from the remaining 20 selectable characters....If that relpacement is unexceptable, the legions that were left to you can over-throw your strong hold, AND that replacement and become an enemy to you. In which case you have to retake that posistion in the realms.

An exceptable replacement is based on alignment, and various other stats...

The main attraction would be fights like old Kung Fu movies' fight scenes...Melee style Martial Arts(not precise martial arts either...there's more potential to create cool effects and so on if you're not strickened to "rules" the way martial arts is sometimes .). Gamplay wise, kinda like MkSm but not so..."playful".?..*I'll exlain in a bit here>>>*

"MKA"

You would pick your "team" like you did in the MkChess game. 30 characters to choose from....Choose your Leader>>2nd in command...ect ect..

10 Characters should be enough leaving 20 selectable characters not picked. Your team should be able to have Good aligned characters on it as well as Bad aligned characters...But all the characters alignments' that you pick should be obvious. Maybe even a divided select screen, to make apparent what kind of personality your team has overall...

What happens since you have a team, is that you can order the lessor members of your team to go "deal" with problems in other realms as well as strategic outlines of how you want them to do so. You will have full control of every indiviual, and for this I purpose a "sliding window" of 10 if you will. One per view of each member on your team. The window you're in gives you control of that character based on where they are and what they are doing. Ex: Raiden in EarthRealm...Ermac in Outworld.

Whille you are in one "window" you can monitor the other 9s' activity based on automation. Switching windows is as easy as selecting the characters select screen pic somewhere on your screen in real-time. You should be able to tell when they will emgage in a fight and so on.

The biggest compramise I can imagine right now through these "windws" is sound. While controling one character in their window, the others' sound will be mute. For this, sending your lesser members to deal with barganing and small missions would be less restrictive, you would have less to toggle for considering you probably wanna see all the big fights and so on.

Stats are key as well as any character power upgrades, secrets found, codes acquired and so on...

"Killing Grounds"

It should be strategic in trying to find your targets. It should give hints and clues to your characters mystery in finding your targets. Codes, secret maps, multipule ways into and or out of large buildings you might have to invade as a team. All with different outcomes per the path you took.

Oh, and I can't fail to mention, using our favorite Realms and highlights of past Arenas. Using the Nexus could be a way to get between them all to find your tagets and kill them, or you could have some kind of control
(like magic) or mechanizm(like Shujinko's meditation, time and calender) that let you know where to be at what time in order to traverse to the next Realm.

Everything in all the realms would have to be fully interactive in order for the feel of the game to work. I feel like this type of game should allow you to not only be affected by things in your surroundings, but you should be able to use them to your advantage. You should be able to jump off stuff, roll under stuff, throw or swing doors//branches at you enemies the way Jackie Chan does in his movies. Imagine, Exaterrate....

Alot of times, although you are "ThePredator"(I had to do that), this game will feel like you're running from something....or like you're being followed. The only exception to this rule, is when the character you have current control over, is in their own realm, in their own town or "civilization" or amongst a "safe friend" and company if you will. That's just about the only times you should ever feel this unwelcomed//uncomfortable mood totaly lift. And even then...Yknow?

Now, when you kill some enemy in the game, you should be allowed to take from the corpse. Getting rid of the body is a must and I think is simple....Burn the body, but with your special abillity. Allot of the characters have fire chi blast, so that should be easy to imagine. But each person on the roster could be given an item to ease this process. Call it "Implodus Acidtonium" for the sake of reading this. (HA!) You can sprinkle it on one dead dude or "splash a pretty decent sized area. What would happen is, upon leaving the scene, the body would fade or melt into the ground, poof or singe quickly, disapate in any wierd color into thin air, or simply ash and burn away into the wind. This is an item you will need to buy over and over during the game. Among others I won't be thinking up tonight but, you get the drift....

In this game, you can do all humanly funtions, and some to an exaderated degree. With reasonable exclusion of course(I don't ever wanna have to wait for "Sub-Zero", of all characters, to take a nice warm piss....Lol!!)

You can:
Walk, jog, run, run really fast, run up walls, Jump,Jump really high, duck, roll, peek around corners, crawl on your stomach, strafe left and right, crouch, crouch and walk, jump from a crouch, swim, swim underwater, climb, characters that are able to do wierd stuff like fly, float or crawl on the walls ect..can.....but at some kind of consequence(health//fatige//magic..ect, and everything else is subject to what you're doing in the game(like if you have to swing on something for some reason.)

"Provok Fight or Flight"

Though the overall feel has to be dark/mystical and "like you're doing something you are not supposed to be doing", It should feel "Suspicious and Suspensful" if nothing was happening for more than 5-10min long or more...
(For instance, the inhabitors of a realm might "notice" you in some way//Stare at you from afar, peek around corners to see if you've left yet....stuff like that.
Say 10min passed and you left the game on to go to the bathroom or something. Your character is simply standing there much like Shujinko or Taven would. You forgot to push pause...
Wouldn't it be freaky as hell if that, when you came back to your t.v. there were "creatures" from the NetherRealm closley circling//floating around your character? Examining your character closley, maybe you even get sniffed or violently TASTED by one of the creatures!!!! *heebee-jeebees* And your character jumps in discust? AHH!
Furthermore...If you stood there long enough, depending on what realm you were lollygaggin' in, your character would be picked on enough to be killed or arrested or something to that affect by the investigating Artificial Intelligence(A.I.)
)

It would feel "Frightning, Brutally Graphic, Dangerous, and Haunting" in the midst of a fight or battle as well as "Acrobatic, Smoothe, and SkillFul" because of the martial arts involvled.
(For instance: if you came to fight a group of the BrotherHood, you should feel threatened that they are trying to kill YOU...Not to be confused with "Oh this is just something I have to get through."(a puzzle) or "I have to beat them in order to get to....blah blah blah"(simple distraction to a goal).

Brutal, almost disturbing to notice graphiclly, you should See what happends to your character if he or she gets cut or hit>> A bloody scar where an enemy cut you, a pressure point was hit on your character so it prevents your character from moving his/her arm for 5-10secs. You see a small bruise, and have to make due for that time within the fight. Pressure points could also be neusence hits to you, or advantages for you..minimal to no damage dealt, but more opportunity for either side of the fight..

Interactivity with your surroundings could provide frightning instances. Maybe buring the fight you scale a fence and it produces a loud enough sound on it's own, but triggers a flock of irregularly sized birds to fly away. All in a frantic kind of domino effect. Maybe in a certain Forrest(which would be freaky enough just the way it is btw) fright could be established by creepy animals of all types falling on you//near you or something...*a really freakish-looking spider the size of your characters fore-arm drops on you and you kick or puch, directing the way the spider propells from you, towards your enemy who is consequently bitten violently and spares you fighting one enemy*
(for show and effective...you gained a really creepy "friend" in the Forrest while in battle. Lol..Ew
)

Also, to help with "dangerous", I wanna see that fight pause//regroup happen like it does in the old KungFu flicks where, right after you get hit..."OW SHIT! You cut me you muther-fucker!" *frustrating deep breathe*>>Fight Stance and regroup>>Maybe a taunt>>Back to fighting.
This should be pretty inconsistant actually, to where it might only happen once in a good fight. What would trigger this miniscule sequense would be focus given to one enemy for a longated time-span. Usually associated with the leader of the enemy group you fight with. Aheh, If he gets you good...you gotta pause and kinda think about your next move//attack against your enemies. Cuz for one.... that shit hurt!! Lol

As far as haunting, the A.I. in God of War is a slight example for what I'm saying. Their A.I. was great don't get me wrong here, but my reference to their A.I. in a fight is how it seemed your enemies would position themselves on your blind-sides and behind your back....THEN they would attempt to hit you. All while you fend off enemies in you obvious focal sight. That's the point of reference in particular I'm talking about, but that's not all... To feel haunted you have to be able to misconcieve that there is a real possiblilty that someone/thing is there that might hurt you....Blind spots in a smaller dark setting is one way, overwelming darkeness in a large place is another. Then you have sounds and faint lights....inanimate objects, and animated objects both possibly harmfull or not. Things can appear to be in motion that are not...but image having to flick on a light to find out.....Mwahaha!!

"Where's Waldo?"

This part greatly contributes to the story of the game. Individually, and overall. You will have to "find" and kill off the people that stand in your way. A side affect is that you will "find" out everything about your teams characters during the span of MkDa through right after MkA. You can max out each of your characters....but how much would that take?? You will "find" out the true potential each characters powers extend to. You will find out the truth about you characters' pos and cons, personality disfunctions, the depth of each character will be exploited.

Game Concept

MkSm Successor: Retro Game Concept based on My own ideas, but definatley influenced by others all over this site.


No Name thought up Yet.....

Main and Secondary Characters:

1. Shao Kahn....coming unto power
2. The Original Kung Lao & Shang Tsung....current.(sort or like the old Shaolin Monks//////My time line is probably screwed up in order to include them both together in one game.)
3. Young Master Bo Rai Cho as the teacher
4. Raiden....Yonger God. More active
{Royalty:}
5. King Jerrod and Queen Sidel
6. Kitana
7. Mileena
8. Rain

Cameos, Regular Bad Guys, and Neusence Characters :

1. Early Lin Kuei...."A" Sub Zero...Maybe thier Leader at the time since that's where it started.

2. The Beginning of the Shirai Ryu and HUMAN Scorpion...Maybe thier Leader as well..

3. Shokan(regular bad guy like in the "Defenders of the Realms cartoon")

4. Centaurs(regular bad guy like in the "Defenders of the Realms cartoon")

5. Young Shujinko as an wierdly secretive and an unusually loyal and obedient child//teen.

6. Maybe even throw in Quan Chi and like Sareena or sombody. Or Early Zaterrian race members. Not sure what significance they might have in the game as I write this...hm....they could provide more story depth and or more "regular" badies in the game. Y'know, instead of just the sub-boss' races.

Story Objectives:

1. Character Depth: DISPELL ALL THE MYTHS!! Of all characters involved in the game and leave it at that. "Back story" becomes the focus story...so tell all that is going on with each of the character...or show it. Also, make sure there's a complete description or each characters' power potential and who they were closest to//what they were into at the time..

Recommendation:
Small cinemas, Bios, Information you have to probe for. "Unlockables, Need a Code to get to it, or Worthwhile side missions.

2. Minor battles throughout the history of the games spoken of as "Long Ago" or otherwise need to be tied up and taken care of.

Recommendation:
i think all of the above roster for this game has had at least one of these. "Legend Scroll" style, maybe have an interesting picture associated with each persons "Long Ago" battle story...would be nice to have a speaker from whatever character the story pertains to.

3. Probably most important Break-down exatcly what happened in order to start up the whole Mortal Kombat Tournament. What it was like before it ever started, and maybe a describe a couple previous battles, thier champions and show the relative peace that's was talked about in Mk1.

Recommendation:
I'd like to see the longest Opening movie thus far for this one. Something like 5min long. I think the average FmV is like 2min tops.
This one should have all the good elements: Voice of Raiden, a read picture description, maybe even find a clever way to implement the scroll reading with the picture parts....I just know it should show//describe everything that went on and bring us to a point that opens the game up extremely well like Shaolin Monks did.

Again, I'll have to proof read later.

Wow, that was kinda freaky...Almost all the same characters too.

Maybe I read those one day and can't rememer them or something. Anyway those little bios and vitals you provided are friggin sick!

Especially because it's like another piece to my "now" idea. I'm glad you put that link in here.

MK Tug of War:
im thinking about 16 characters to choose from,1-8 player button masher or guitar hero type system to see who can pull the player or players into a pit filled with different types of deathrap type things like snakes(or other vicious animals),spikes,acid,lava,rotating blades,a deep pit to just fall and splat on a floor,pirahana or shark filled water,ect... i think it would be simple,easy and fun....what ya think?
