One thing I always liked about the early Mortal Kombat installments, were their sense of mystery. You used to always wonder if there were still cheats you haven't discovered yet, characters you haven't unlocked, etc.

I'd completely scrap the current idea of the Krypt. I'd replace it with a new version, where you can select a coffin belonging to a fighter who didn't make MK8, and you can find out what happened to them in Armageddon, and basically fleshing out their back story, giving each character closure.

I don't know how hard it would be to do, but you could include Kreate-A-Fighter information for them in there, so players can "Play God" and resurrect one character from Mortal Kombat past, if they so wish.

I'd scrap Konquest mode entirely, if it were up to me, but if they do bring it back, I'd have players take on a character that isn't playable. That way Ed Boon and co. can watch as people claim how he is unlockable.

I think each character should have two Fatalities specific to them. The Armageddon Fatality system could also be brought back, but as a Brutality. Stage Fatalities would be pretty sweet, too. They'd have to be a little more extreme than the regular death traps, though.

I don't think his character should return, but I think it would be cool if players could do something like fight Shao Kahn. Just like in the old days when characters like Reptile weren't controllable. Just be warped to a realm where people are watching you fight Kahn in a stadium. I think it would be hilarious, in the morbid, Mortal Kombat kind of way.

Or you could bring back the custom fatality system but of course expand on it by adding character specific strings and enders. The custom fatality system is such an awesome idea that was not used to its potential in Armageddon. So many secret moves and things could be thrown into it.

alright all,

After Armageddon I would like to see the series reinvented. Personally, I appreciated that the team tried to do something new, with the various styles and what not. But i feel, after what is now the third addition under this format, that things are getting a tad stale. Which is why I couldn't be happier they said MK8 will be grittier and darker.

My idea is that after Armageddon there is just that, Armageddon. The planets has been scorched, and only a few survive. Civilisation has crumbled, and now all that remains is conflicting war-tribes.

As life has returned to a barbaric level, the sport of gladiatory combat has arisen. Tribes bring their various slaves to fight the slaves of other tribes, with money and respect given to the successor.

Therefore, during the one player mode, you select a tribe as opposed to a individual fighter.With each tribe offering different skills to their gladiators. This will also give the chance for the return of old Mk characters, such as a tribe ruled by Baraka etc.

Therefore the format is that you, as the trainer, have a group of slaves, which you must be train. Depending on how you see fit, you can treat them appallingly so that they develop into cold heartless killers, or treat them well, in that they might have more noble features.

The one player mode would act more like a football season, building up to, I suppose, the superbowl of gladiator events at the end, the tournament Mortal Kombat. This is where you earn most money and respect, which will benefit you going into the next 'season'. But you wont reach these heights for a long time, instead taking your slaves to smaller tournaments around the world.
The more money you earn, the better the gladiator-slaves you can buy, or buy the better facilities in which to train them. Maybe even the option to buy other smaller tribes, assimilating their skills. Anyways, this will all lead to the creation of a fierce team of combatants.

I think that one player modes in fighting games need to be developed to increase their longativity. I love sports games, as i start off with a crap team, and generally have to work my way up. At first you scrape whathever money you can get together, buying better players etc. So this new system will operate in a similar sort of way. So you can offer another tribe two slaves and some money for their prize fighter etc.

Newhose, I want the fighting itself to be really really really gritty. I want energy bars to be scrapped. In essence, i kinda envisage UFC, mixed with the dark style of the resident evil series. Where the fighters fight in a cage, one on one, till one fighter cant stand no more. As the trainer, you can select whether the fight is required to go to the death. This in turn, could potentially see you losing your fighter, but if you win, he will gain far more experiance points. Furthermore, the look of the fighters will be completely custom built, whereby you can cover them in tattoos or give them war paint, with the colours of your tribe.

The backgrounds, will intially start off in small outposts, but eventually when you improve, will end up in huge stadiums with thousands chanting etc

I have kinda had enough of all the fighting games with the nice twirly kicks, and the colourful lights following every move. Fighting is fierce, and can end in an instant. This is what i hope they will do with Mortal kombat8, reinvent the genre , so that it is actually like fighting. Some matches might end in an instant, some might go on for twenty minutes (well not that long, but u get the point). Where at the end of the a hard fought battle, your gladiator will be left standing over his pummeled opponent.

Although there wouldnt be an emphasis on individuals characters with specific moves like the old mk games, i think u would really take to your fighters, especially if u had one that started off as a weed. But through your training eventually turn into a legend.

Ive read through some of this, and some of the ideas are great however id like to put my input, and im not sure if this has been mentioned either.
I know alot of people really do like the story line the current characters (I myself really will miss them) but if the characters are getting killed off then what would be neat is:

To have References to previous Tournaments, as what they did with the previous Generation when "The Great Kung Lao" was killed they could talk about how "Liu Kang the Tournament Victor" was assinated by Shang Tsung and about Blaze causing the Destruction of all fighters from the last Generation.

This new Game with new characters would be a Generation After, with an all new cast, except the story would start off a little different. After all (I think i am correct in saying) that Blaze was a God to some extent, and say for example everybody was killed off in Armageddon then that would have made no victor, thus the Elder gods would be more incontrol of the tournament, more of them could participate using their various elemental powers. And there could be Decendents of other Various Characters, like for all we know Liu Kang could have had a child at some point.

I think if they do this idea it should be very similar to how mortal kombat "1" was with the Oriental feel, and more about monks fighting rather than cyborg ninjas...

However. I for one havn't given up on the current Story. They can make something out of it. If they were to continue my idea would be (which i have written down before to some extent)

Story:

After the Destruction of Blaze, every single Kombatant was left Unconcious due to the power infusion being to much for them (In reference to the Konquest Ending). However those that were considered tainted with evil were returned back to their own realm. There was but only 3 Kombatants not left Unconcious and only 1 of these was not returned to his previous realm as he had no soul of past self to go by, he was unknown. The 3 Kombatants were infact the Cyborgs; Cyrax, Smoke and Sektor. Though Cyrax and Smoke had retrieved parts or links of their souls to some extent Sektor had not. And him being the last one standing gave him the prime oppourtunity to take some lucky Kombatants to fight at his side as a Cyborg.
Only time will Tell which unlucky warriors were taken to be part of Sektors Tekunin...

Or something like that... There are a few factions within Mortal Kombat that have done little or nothing like the Tekunin and the Outer World Investigation Agency. Some like the Tekunin have great ideas going for them, which does give some sort of insight into if any of them will come into play, why else would Sektors clan of cyborg ninjas have been mentioned if there was no intention of ever using it for any purpose...

Here Is My Idea

1.) Mortal Kombat Chess *bring it back dammit*

2.) Mortal Kombat Konquest *Keep it RPG*
make a kak and make them choose their destiny. put more secret keys and item there in it too.

3.) KAK -
a.)Appearance
Okay put more detail and bio in it like WWE Smackdown vs Raw 06 and 07
b.)Weapons
Okay no problem but put more weapons like dagger Staff and weapon noone never seen or had like Sickle or stuff in Soul Calibur 3. Or better had some stuff in Konquest makes it even funner.
c.) Special Move
Same thing with weapons
d.) KAF (kreate a fatality)
I think they should make it better than Armageddon. Make it like Tony Hawk when they make their sk8in moving. or find new fatality in Konquest again make it funner.

4.)Mortal Kombat Arenas
Well I was thinking of creating a Arena but I want some Deception arena back too. 5.) Blood and Gore- Make it look better than the armageddon one please

MORTAL KOMBAT MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE!!!

whilst on the toilet today after browsing forums, i thought.
"hmm maybe the story of mortal kombat is too all over the place"
"perhaps..."
"yeah!! they should make an MMORPG!" ZOOOOMG

so thats my new idea!! It wouldn't be a real MMORPG, like Experience, Ding Level up, new talents, leatherworking gets you cloths and stuff.
It would be a real Fighting MMORPG, if they can make MMOFPS why not MMOF's

Now not only does this make everybody happy because:
a) you wont lose your favourite characters
b) youll get your own favourite characters
c) more of a Story

but also there are alot of people that like their instant action and offline modes so obviously there would be this mode, though with no direct story line or any affect on the main story, however there can still be endings, just non-cannon endings..

So...

Concepts:

Kreate a Kharacter: Like most RPG games you can create your character, this would should be alot mroe customisable, in terms, of build, body shapes, head sizes, eyes, gender, ethnicity, hair style, nose, skars and piecings etc. This would give everybody the chance to make their own individual characters, perhaps maybe even doing offline stuff (arcade mode, can unlock extra things). However due to fan boys (which i am one) they would have to make sure there wernt names like "Scorpion" or "Sub-Zeros-kid" etc etc.. (if you played LOTR or WoW youll see what i mean with elf hunters/rangers being called things like Legoolas etc)

Once the character is made, you enter the world of Mortal Kombat, Earthrealm should start out as a training area so to speak, you do quests which do you koins (like Konquest Mode). With these coins you can buy cloths (which don't boost stats, otherwise the game becomes item based and too RPGish like WoW) however they alter your look making you look more diverse, and they can be totally customizeable (Patches, dyes, Rips, Blood Stains etc.) I havn't entirely figured everything out yet but ill work on it.

Building the Kharacter to be something special:
You chose different Fighting Styles however you can only learn a certain number of them (cant say really), you can however discard them if you wish to take on another (which can be learnt at different masters in each realm - the strongest of the Styles can even be hidden and only come out at a certain time of each year and a set time). The first things you learn are the basic moves with the trainer (in the style you do in MK konquest), however you need koins to start training, and you can only learn certain amounts at a time due to energy bars, then to learn the more extreme fighting styles you need Kombat Points (which are earnt through Kombat - will explain later). To learn some Kombos you will need to pay Koins or sometimes they can be secrets quest items or drops from the npcs...

Fighting:
For this game to work, they need to have the same fighting style that they have in mortal kombat at the moment, as it works. However it can alter for different scenarioes. Its hard to explain so please bare with me...
Fighting NPCS - Im guessing the most logical way would be to simply fight these outside of an "arena" (so to speak) like in shaolin monks using your styles, however harder ones that have been tagged by you will be fought in an "arena".
Fighting other players - The main point of this game is to build your character to be something magnificant and different to everybody elses. So by Fighting other players and winning will gain you Kombat Points, which can be spent on training extreme stuff. Im guessing the most logical way would be to walk up to them and use action which asks them to a fight. If the player accepts a ring will be formed around them (like in the first black and white game ) and they will fight, if there if there is enough room (otherwise they will be taken to a different Arena). If you defear them you can do the usual Fatalities, Brutality, Mutality, Friendship or simply just uppercut them.
Fatality: This wouldn't perminantly kill their character, however it would make them not available to fight or train for sometime (like rez sickness in wow). And 1 HP with 0 Energy until they recover...
Butality: Doing this would be similar to Fatality, instead it simply leaves them with 1 hp and 0 energy until they recover.
Mutality: These would have to Mutilate in someway hence the name, so i'm guessing the best way would be to Scar the face, if it is done enough they would like look Kabal sad. Again this leaves them with 1HP 0 Energy and also half the time of not being able to train or fight (of fatality)
Friendship: Not only do you get a free doll off their player (which will simply be an item that says "name is your friend" which you can discard but you will be left with full hp and the same energy you had before you started the fight.
A normal Uppercut say would just leave you with 1HP but alot of energy when you get out of Kombat...

Events: I think Tournaments would be awsome. and say maybe at the end of each month the players with the most wins can chose to enter "Mortal Kombat" the winner will be the only one to benefit. And he will automatically be entered for the next one (if he keeps winning) however those that lose cannot enter for sometime (the winner longer than others). Otherwise it just isnt fair, and doesnt give casual players the chance to catch up. However throughout the weeks there can be mini Tournaments with a prize at the end of each of some kind...

Im tired for now... But seriously wouldn't this just be great!!! You would still encounter NPCs however i cant really say how anything would work as im not making it lol (nobody is :P) but i really do think thats a great idea. And a game like this should most definately head that way as i really do think it will be popular...

What do you guys think...

It's sad to see MK become anything else but a good fighting game. It's also sad to see there is a population of fans who want more than a fighting game out of it.

You know what? You're absolutely right. And as I skim this thread for truely unique ideas and concepts...it becomes ever more sad to see that there aren't better interpretaions of the game and each of its characters and separate components.

I like to feed off of good ideas. So much so that it becomes a competition about who can be more inventive...more clever, or intuitive. Not so much a "win or loose" type of situation. But just healthy competition for your mind.

To put it quite frank though, from now on, it'll become harder to recive the dp I was enthused about giving a person with an "original" idea to this thread. Not a bad thing or a regret....just......a challenge to all who wanna post their ideas here....

Simplified: "Beat me" with your idea.

Special Moves


Noob Saibot: "Shadow King"




1. Teleport: Noob uses your shadow against you. What I mean is, his physical representation remains in-motion....in the place the move was performed. Your shadow becomes "him" on the other side of you and as the move is being performed, his original representation fades out to form on the other side of you....

2. Shadow Grab: A simple motion that suggest he is grabing something off of the ground, Noob then reaches through his shadow on the ground, and from virtually anywhere on the arena, a hand reaches up and attempts at grabbing your ankle. If he catches you, he pulls you through the hole his hand came through to perform some kind of throwing move. If he misses you, you'll simply see his hand reaching around for the place you were last standing.

Add more later.....

Alright well i'm new here, I just found the site today and I love all the MK games except for the last one really, and I would to share my ideas about new concepts for the game and what not. In my opinion as of lately the most addicting, fun, out of the box fighting style would have to be the fight night games that are out. The joystick in which controls the arms and depending o n the motion you move the joystick creates a different punch. Creating combinations can be smooth and diverse. I have yet to see a game thats done that besides that game, and it's the most fun I ever have playing a fighting game. Lets face it combinations with four buttons is very limited. But with you can create combinations with the joystick it takes more skill, and it feels more self achieving cause you are not simply taping in a button combination. You are constantly having the choice to make your combo go in one direction or the next. Maybe if you wanted to mix kicks in with the punches you would hold an L button and let go to punch again.

For the fatalities I think the whole create a fatality was very misleading. Create a fatality with 8 different fatality variations. Not fun. Make an in depth create a fatality maybe with an motion animator. The motion animator's go definetly too wrong when they are too complex. Make it versatile but fairly simple, and if at all possiblie not way too monotinous. I think the create a fighter was descent, but I wish that alot more games would give you the option to upload a picture of your face like on the Tony Hawk Underground Games. That was an awesome concept that didn't go a very long way.

And as far as the fighting styles, I wish there would be 3 again and not 2. I think the environments are absolutely awesome. I almost feel the whole game has too much of an cartoony feel though. Once again I would bring it back to fight night which is almost like real people on and that goes on almost any system. Characters, and Arenas, and levels like that, with environment damage that was very sensitive, like cracking bricks in surrounding walls, Jails bars being bent if thrown into them, and more detail clothes ripping, cuts, all that stuff.

I know that's alot for my first post, but it seems like the creators really like it when the player speaks out, so thats my ideal mortal kombat right there.

I think that there should be a very evil, powered up raiden as the boss in mk8. This powerful evil raiden will have extreme attitude (like shao kahn did with the laughing and the "you will never win") ,and he will never be playable.

He should be a little taller than the normal characters, and he should be arrogant and make you really want to kill him.

When fighting him he should walk around perhaps a little slow, but should be able to attack very fast with speedy punch and kick combinations that are surging with electricity and are all extremely powerful. Each time he kicks an opponent they should be sent flying back as if being hit with a massive electric shock.

Visually there should be electricity surging through his body and he should have dark clothing and red eyes. Hmmm his electricity could be blue or red or another colour im undecided on that...

Hes special moves should consist of being able to teleport very quickly, send out quick but powerful thunder shocks form his fingertips, calling thunder down upon the player from the sky, and of course some sort of move where he grabs and electrifies the opponent causing major damage. Any others you guys can think of?

In other words, I want the badass feeling that shao kahn gave to mortal kombat to be back, but bigger and better!

the newest should NOT be head 2 head they should make it wher there is giant stage and u have your own army and shao-kahn finnaly dies (go see post your fantasy karaktors here page 4to see who) you make your own solders (heavy,light,range, and beast) the beast a animal trainersmile my charactor that i talked about eirlier should be the konkuest charactor at the end of eacth realm you fight the boss head 2 head (arcade and multi is head2 head sorry i did not say sosad) THAT IS IT wowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwowwow

Well, i noticed some of the posts included, Motaro. Well, in this game i noticed he only has 2 pairs of legs. In the MK3, he had four... Anway i cannot afford a Wii right now, but i think it's going to be much better not just because its Featuring Khameleon Maybe a storyline goes through Motaro's, bio and his legs got chopped off or somthing, (i don't know maybe somone can tell me) They wernt going to feature Chameleon or Motaro in the MKA, so they had to do them fast, maybe they didn't have time for the legs, anyways... My ideas for MKA, for the Wii
They all have at least 2 fatalitys, and 1 KAF.
Some of there normal, average special moves come back
2 Stiles of fighting.
Make Reptile More humanish
Make Smoke (human) a litte different.


Those are my ideas, that should be done for the Next game, or the Wii MKA.

Motaro was mainly without his other two legs because he was a systematic hendrance on the fighting engine. Too big, too bulky ect. He was one of the last to be added, and it wasn't a logical system for a four legged beast as a playable character. It will be interestinf to see how they explain this in his story though....You can search the Armegeddon fourm to find more infromation on this....

I haven't posted here for a while so I'll make a big contribution with this post...



Wii brutalities

-I think in next gen games on the wii when you win you have to bash in a certain button combo or press a+b at the same tame to execute a brutality when finish him comes up when the brutality screen appears keep swinging your wii control in different directions until the opposing player blows up.


-Also when you do this I think you should be able to replay it in slow motion


And speaking of slow motion I think it would be a cool idea if you were able to make it go in slow motion when your in the middle of a combo so you can execute it perfectly but you only have three of them like breakers.


Loading screens

-When a certain character pops up on a loading screen a certain track should come on to resemble that character.

-Maybe like special effects when a certain characters on a loading screen...Example when Scorpions on he repeatedly throws his spear until the match starts.


Comedy videos

-Each character should have a little comedy thing like the cooking with Scorpion thing on deadly alliance.


Konquest

-Instead of the same old boring attacks you should be able to get an environmental object whether it be a rock or icicle or a torch of fire.

-Instead of having one boring character that everyone takes he mick out of choose the characters you can be in versus mode and play out their story lines.


The triplets


-You should in premium edition get all three mk1 mk2 and mk3 but in the normal version just mk1


Bring it back


-When you have completed arcade mode with everyone you get the option of one button fatalities


Online

-There should be many different stages that you can go in as your KAK and it's a big orgy of destruction were you run about and test your skills on many people at the same time.

Compose

-For your KAK you should be able to compose your own songs for them but you have to pick oriental chimes.


Start & victory speeches

-At the beginning of a match just for example Raiden would say Do you have the power to beat a thunder god then if he wins he'll say obviously not and for KAKs your get a choice of 12 voices and hundreds of slogans.

Arcade boss

-Seeing as in konquest there is no deadly alliance or Onaga just the person you beings mortal enemys I was thinking if you are Sub-Zero the main boss is noob-saibot and vice versa but with KAK you select your own arcade ladder


Taunts

-I would like to see characters have their own taunts to humiliate their opponents and regain health but not the crappy taunts good ones like Shao Kahn would say you suck etc etc

-They should do lengthy and decent bios like Jerrod does but also a video bio on Ed Boons opinions on the character like the recent ones for armageddon

Since I drooled over the MK1 arcade machine in the local laundromat as a kid, to doing the same with MKA, I love the series. Politically it goes against so many things I believe, lol, but I just keep coming back for more. So after playing it all my life, here is what I would really like to see for MK8:

Characters

1) Sure, I love the popular, always returning characters like Shang-Tsung, Sonya, Sub-Zero, etc, but it is their time to be put aside. Their focus has been too long now, and they are easily replaceable with similar but more creative characters. Thus, with more than 63 characters in the MK universe, here is who NEEDS to return with incredible depth and individuality (both in stories and gameplay):

- to replace Sub-Zero
Frost- exagerrate her ice-body connection. Deemphasize sexualizing her and make her bigger, stronger, and likewise continue with her speed. Her story should make her swift, brilliant, able, and menacing. The connection to ice should be continued with Frost, not Sub-Zero.

- to replace Scorpion
Blaze- He is a huge and powerful character, and should be made very dark, like Scorpion. He should have, in his story, a horrible inner conflict and anger that makes him downright scary. His connection to fire and heat should make his body burned and scorched, but always replinishing itself.

- to replace Baraka
Mileena- Get rid of the mask. Deemphasize her sexuality and make her one hell of a scary demon. She needs to finally override Baraka and Kitana, and be brought to the forefront and be revealed. She she be even quicker, meaner, and use her weapons (i forget the name) in a more obvious, horrible manner, all the while laughing. She should be a psycho in control.

- As for Goro, Kintaro, Shao Khan, Sindel, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Kitana
Retire these overused "bosses" and focus on the ones with so much potential: Moloch, Motaro, and Sheeva. All of them are unique, nonhuman, and in need of further emphasis. All can be given very special moves, with emphasis on their amazing power. Sheeva, with her large body, mohawk, and scary eyes, can easily be given a better costume and have a storyline focusing on her quest for her races' rights, as can Motaro. Both of them are so large and powerful, dark, and unknown. Motaro is such a favorite of mine. He and Moloch should be made very animal like in moves, but highly secretive and plotting with their stories. Forget the human focus. These three characters have been so unused, yet are so creative.

- Replacing the male and female ninjas, and cyborgs
With the continuation of Chameleon and Khameloen, they may become a new race in Mortal Kombat, and maybe just one interchangeable character team, like Noob Smoke. But to discover their stories and powers would be awesome. They are also unused. They can be incredible with animation, as the producers are able to make their bodies into whatever they please. I hope they run with this idea!

- Lose Noob, Ermac
We all know Noob was just a kinfa spoof character, though cool. And Ermac, well, he had his time I think. Retpile and Rain should take the spotlight. These two should be totally revamped into beasts, less human! Rain should become someone powerful and manipulative of weather, like Storm in X-men; his ninja theme should be dropped and replaced with someone stark- no costume or much of one- just a person really powerful with the elements, especially water. Reptile should really become a reptile, with his moves focusing on snakes, lizards, poison, claws, etc.

- Combine Smoke, Sektor, & Cyrax as a storyline of some development of a new generation of human and machine hybrid that goes psychologically wrong but machanically powerful (to replace Jax, Kano, & the cyborgs). Their limited arsenal of moves can be made into one all powerful machine.

- to replace Raiden
Raiden has had him time, and his character has not changed much at all recently. Ashrah should be his replacement. She should lose her conservative costume and become blindingly white and electric. She should be god-like, perfect in execution and very intimidating. Like Rain, she should be one with electricity and mind, body.

- replace Cage, Stryker, Sonya, and all the other very human characters
Make MK8 really dark. Focus less on human characters, and bring out the unknown demons. The above characters should be replaced with Meat, Havik, Kabal, Sareena, and Kira, who should all be made much more dark and scary. Build them into demon warriors with deep storylines and human-like desires. Again, focus less on female exploitation and make these female characters intimidating, and scary.

- Finally, replace more male characters with good female characters!
Jade and Tanya are strong, beautiful, and full of potential, and Midway needs more strong, nonwhite female characters! Jade has always been a character with much speed and ability. Both can be made into deep characters, but Tanya needs SO MUCH work! Jade is already awesome, but her story can go so much further, as well as her gameplay.

- Thus, here is a list of returning characters, and like another fan said, most if not all should be unlockable!!!

- Mileena
- Blaze
- Moloch
- Sheeva
- Motaro
- Frost
- Chameleon
- Khameleon
- Reptile
- Rain
- Cyborg Ninja Mutant
- Ashrah
- Meat
- Havik
- Sareena
- Kira
- Kabal
- Jade
- Tanya

- This is only 19 characters, maybe also bring back Onaga, Kung Lao, Kai, Li Mei, or Jax (as a derranged mechanic mutant). Bringing back a dead Liu Kang is also really cool, but make his powers Zombie-like. Make him a ghost zombie. Make his really eerie.

Gameplay

- Do away with "special moves" and make every single move of that character related to their special power, so that even their kick is special. For example, Instead of just uppercutting, they always use their weapon. Or instead of kicking, they kick with fire, or both legs, etc.

- Do away with chain combos and replace with a better "combo" system, one with more creativity... But also, each character, like in Street Fighter, should have more than one, maybe three, very super, DRAMATIC moves that require much time and energy to utilize. Like Rain manipulating a hailstorm or Mileena wildly biting another character.

- Again, bring back special fatalities, but make each character have more than 4. This is a highlight of MK, the makers should run with it. Make them elaborate and creative. Make some funny, others "SAW" like

- Definitely use real fighting styles for the games, but this does not mean have boring human like characters like Taven or Mokap. Have the beastly, very dark characters make use of real fighting styles. Even create new fighting styles for characters like Moloch or Sheeva who have different bodies.

- Finally, keep including the REALLY creative Konquest Mode. Except this time, have a really deep story, with all 63+ characters involved. have them join you in your mission; or what I mean is that have more allies and enemies banding together, like a war. DEFINITELY allow the player to choose the character... so that at the beginning I could choose one of five to begin, and by the end I will know their full story, like: Khameleon, Moloch, Sareena, Frost, and Motaro. Imagine running through Konquest as Motaro kicking ass!

Stories

- Again, create vast connections in the MK world. Give more than just one boss character immense power. Make Kitana en emporer who invades. Make Scorpion the leader of a powerful army, who maybe joins Baraka in power. Give Sonya a side-story that makes her evil. Make Noob Saibot and Goro positive, good characters who make change. Screw up the MK world! Make it really dramatic and highly changing and dangerous!

- All PAST MK characters should be included in MK8 in the stories. This would make for one very rich universe.

Number of Characters

- Yes, more is better. Have at least 15 new really incredible, creative, highly themed characters, along with SO MANY hidden ones! But if there are more, make sure they are highly distinct and seperate from one another.

Secrets

- MK8, 9, and 10 should be so full of secrets and hidden characters that by the time 10 rolls out, people will still be figuring out the secrets of 8! Maybe even have 15 playable characters at the beginning, and 25 more unlockable! Nothing makes a game more interesting than incredible depth and mystery. Make MK mysterious again, and by this, make it REALLY secretive. Give it so many layers that we will go nuts trying to uncover everything. Make us work through the new MK to uncover the old.

- As an example, the last two hidden characters could be none other than Scorpion and Sub-Zero, and Kitana as well, making us want to unlock everything so badly!!!

Well lets take a quick look at the main reason i hated playing mka online when you beat someone the person you beat would quit preventing a loss in there record maybe this time around if i person quit during an online match without the match actually being over or a connection problem happening that person shall get a automatic loss in there ranking just for intentional quitting.
