Once again, all you misguided, speculating n00blets act like Ed Boon is the only person who is working on Mortal Kombat.

Personally I'm just looking for the re-introduction of some old characters and the cut of some gay ones. I definitely also think that there should be a create-a-fighter mode. Noob and smoke should be separate fighters. There should be a tag-team mode also. and classic 2on2 mode. Actually, I would like the fact that there are a lot of characters. I've been a fan of the series since I was 4 and MK came out on Sega Genesis. And personally, I wouldn't mind if they made a few adjustments to the story to fit old characters. Also, I could care less for the introduction of new characters. I just love the nostalgia of playing as Sub or Scorpion in each of the new games. I would love to see all of the ninjas to come back, like reptile, (even though he's dead) and Rain, Ermac, Noob. Kitana, Mileena, Jade. And all of those from MKII. Also, for those of you who are too narrow-minded to accept that your vision of the MK story might be altered because of the addition of characters, find a hobby, write your own damn MK fiction if you want. But don't take it out on the MK develpoment team. They got this far with the series, and so far it has been awesome. So, you can go screw yourselves.

I love playing Mortal Kombat period. If they tweak things, so be it. If the next game is a fighter but it's on PS2, so be it. If we have to wait another year for the first MK game on next gen systems, so be it. All the better. I love the characters, the games, the story, everything. I trust it in Boon's hands because without Boon, we wouldn't have MK. Sure, they are a bit on the slow side when tweaking things and upgrading systems and all that. But as long as they keep coming out with good games that deserve the MK title, I will be more than happy because every game so far (Excluding the past adventure games) has deserved the Mortal Kombat title.

Mortal Kombat might not match up to games like Tekken or VF but there are always different kinds of games for people who have different tastes. Like James Bond or XXX. X-Men or Spider-Man. Batman or Superman. Rock And Roll or Hip Hop. Pop or Techno. Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings. My tastes just happen to lie with Mortal Kombat and I personally can't wait to get my hands on MK7 whether it's something that will blow me out of my chair and out the window or whether it'll be a small improvement on DA and Deception.

Like others I want quality not quantity. Amount! No one cares about the amout of warriors if the game and story are good. I never realised I got so mad but I want to focus on MK;SM , play it, then worry about mk7. But I dont want MK Triliogy 2

People assume it's going to be a new Trilogy game just because of the "Biggest Roster Ever" proposal.

I pesonally think that when he says "Biggest", it means that we will see many new Characters, rarther than inexplicable Sheeva ressurections...

They all think the new games are horrible and probably like the originals better. There is no shame in wanting it to be improved, but you've got to look at it on a realistic level, with Midway's track-record.

If MK7 is on current systems, you can bet your butt most of it will be "recycled" with new features and a cleaned up program. It wouldn't surprise me the least if we have to wait a few years for Mortal Kombat to show it's face on next-gen systems like we had to wait for Deadly Alliance. But like the saying goes, 'Good things come to those who wait'.

Well I was reading the first two pages and noticed that most of this is bitching and complaining which is an obvious. So lets look at some common facts here:

PS3 is slated for a spring 2006 release the Nintendo is unknown probably the fall assuming. Regardless MK always comes out in the fall at least the past three games including MKSM. So MK7 gonna be on current or new gen? Well considering the 360 and PS3 will already be out and possibly the new Nintendo, I'd assume that MK7 will be on the next gen.

Now the biggest roster ever, well with DA's final secret and D's super unlockables, he may really mean ever or he may mean for the latest games Mk4-MK6 the 3Ds. Therefore if MK7 had 28 characters foresay, we'd already be at the biggest roster ever.

Now if he really does mean the biggest roster ever, then yes we'd be talkin a 40+ roster. Well from PS and N64 which housed the last biggest roster ever, we've gotten to the PS3 and at least N5. Two console generations later meaning that the overall improvement would be simply better. If MKD can house what 24 characters, and the PS3 is supposed to be at least I know it'll be much more but at least twice the power of PS2, then I think the next gen systems will be able to handle the amount of characters as well as focus on the engine.

Whoever said it was right, we are all going to bitch and complain because MK won't be how we want it. Even though I am more story driven than fighting driven I too want some improvements. And to be truthfully none of us are all going to satisfied until the day the MK team comes to each of our houses and specifically designs how we want the game. The fighting of MK never got me into it besides got me lookin, the story is what pulled me in.

I know we all have our opinions but to me the fighting is the sizzle but the story is the steak. You can read all my posts, I've never bitched out Boon as much as other people. I'll even go on a limb and say I've never bitched him out because shit I like all the MK games. Honestly we make the MK fan base look bad when we'll bitch each other out, moan about how Boon sucks, etc. You can bitch me out I don't give a damn, I have other things to worry about rather than some guy online is likes to constantly talk shit.

So basically I am just a peacemaker lets calm down about this whole MK7 thing, lets wait until more info is released and lets just be cool. Edit: I figured if I'm going to make a retarded comment I should offset it with an actual thought, lol. The dev team doesn't need to meet all of our needs. They don't need to go door to door asking players what they want. All they need to do is create something that "gasp" works correctly. Gameplay is much less subjective than story and character development. You can mechanically and systematically determine what works and what doesn't. No one has ever really questioned MK aside from gameplay.

Also, anyone associated with the development of MK can gain nothing but knowledge from all the "hating." If a person gets their ass on their shoulders because people think they're retarded or don't "appreciate" all the hard work, then to bad. That's their issue, no one else’s. Constructive criticism begins to get jaded when it's not acknowledged. If issues concerning actual gameplay, the actual component of playing the game, were to be addressed and implemented with some form of competency then there would be a huge decline in the "hate." People need to stop acting like the dev team is their little brother.

Speaking of which; mastering characters at the age of two? Uh, the frontal lobe isn't even fully developed at the age of fourteen. Just a little food for thought. That is, if you can actually comprehend it.
