I was just going off the leaked character list of the web series. I also completely forgot about Noob. I feel like him and Smoke will be DLC personally.

So it appears Kuai Liang is indeed our Sub Zero and he's running the Lin Kuei. No signs of Cyrax or Sektor... So presumably Kuai wipes them out and takes charge. Do we see this in the comic or story mode? It's hard to imagine how much they could pack into the game.

They also used the throw I made for Eastwind for Green Lantern in Injustice. Summon wall behind opponent, slam them into it leaving a crack, then kick them through.

And they also used a close-combat system just like one I had in mind for MKvsDC, and the new Brutalities are something I've wanted them to do too. No one ever accused me of not knowing my shit, haha.

Using Kojin as a character basis was a great idea for Ekimaru. I'd like to see them do more with the other gods.

I noticed something about Kung Jin's description that he's listed as a "descendant" of Kung Lao not as a cousin as the webseries cast call presume to tell us (great considering Kung Lao was the last of his lineage so he could not have any cousins or siblings). Which could mean one thing which I find funny...

Not only Kung Lao is a violent monk contrary to Shaolin tenets, he also bangs a woman and gets Kung Jin as a descendant, breaking his vow of celibacy. It's good to be a Shaolin! XD

Not true. Kung Lao could be the last of the Laos, but his mother probably is a Jin, so he could have a thousands cousins from the Jin line.

I think that the stop shown in the streams as Random select, Will be for the unlockables and DLC characters, so Yeahh I hope for 30 characters at launch, except for Ron Tan Cho

I can't believe we are actually basically going to get a remake of that slightly messy first Special Forces game, with Jax.... no, I know this is MKX but at the same time it's also kind of a Special Forces game, to me.... klearly, there will be a big focus on that! I am personally very happy about this.

This trailer is krazy, I cannot breathe. MKX will be the most entertaining and epik game of 2015!

Now this blew me away, a fighting game with this kind of detail in story mode?? WOW, the best thing yet! That evil version of Kitana looks awesome and Mileena as well, not that stupid stripper look and just so many crazy scenarios with the amulet and stuff.

The only thing I hate is how NRS always makes Asians look like caucasions!! Kung Jin looks like an American with some 'exotic' features. I would've liked the Aztec warrior, but his moves look great.

It's a very strong possibility that Cassie Cage, Kung Jin, Takeda & Jacqui take over for Sonya, Johnny, Liu Kang & Jax. Those 3 are 100% playable.

There's definitely hints at a boss character:
- a lot of references to the amulet
- Shinnok apparently trapped inside of it
- the red smoke as if a ghost escaping
- Mileena stating to Kotal: you are going to take my means of reclaiming my throne away from me, i.e. using the amulet / Shinnok?

I think the chances of Shinnok being the boss just increased greatly. Fire God Liu still possible, but no hints at Liu Kang whatsoever so far.


Just so many questions at this point hahahah

In this trailer we've seen new appearances by: Rain, Shinnok, Baraka, Erron Black, Johnny Cage, Mileena & Sindel.

Erron Black is probably the 4th and should be. Any of the old could be, though Mileena makes the most sense. I think even more that if Johhny, Sonya or Jax are in, they will be DLC. Liu Kang remains a mystery, which I love, he could be a surprise!

That was absolutely amazing! Blockbuster film vibe. The developers weren't kidding. Just the dialogue itself, the scenes, the atmosphere.. it looks awesome.

Couple of things:

1. The Cassie Squad with Jacqui, Takeda, Kung Jin, and Cassie seems interesting. I guess the story will follow them in their quest and is how the story will unfold. They are getting a big push - I hope they deliver. Cassie is already well-established, just have to see how the others act.

2. Sub-Zero looks 100% baddass. Damn - he looks undead. In MK3 he at least had pupils, but this just makes him look way more menacing. We also got a glimpse of his personality: Is a good guy, but has no remorse for anything or anyone. He'll do whatever it takes to conserve Earthrealm, whether that means killing a few allies as well. Dig it.

3. Raiden imprisoning Shinnok does not de-confirm him. His costume and model looks awesome and I doubt NRS will waste it. Considering Shinnok is the face of MK4, and a lot of fans always requested him, I'm sure he'll be an unlockable. Also, in that very same scene, I think it's Sonya dead on the floor and Johnny is helping Raiden.Johnny for an unlockable? Not sure about that costume though.

4. Mileena looks amazing! She has this whole creepy,anime vibe to her. Love the shout out to Shao Kahn with her skull helmet. Seems like she'll be a force to be reckoned with in Story Mode with her possessing the Amulet. I doubt Rain will be in it since it seems he has his MKA costume.

5. I wonder if that is indeed Li Mei. She has no real costume so I think it's just a cameo by her. Sindel is an obvious cameo. As I mentioned, Rain looks like a cameo as well. Baraka leading the horde is a cameo too.

All in all, an amazing trailer and an amazing preview of what Story Mode is going to be all about. Can't wait!

Mixed emotions, mostly good though. Takeda or however you pronounce his name, he looks great! The retractable whip things he has, his design, it's all good by me. That and he actually looks like he fits in with the special forces. The other guy looks fucking ridiculous IMO. I mean he may be fine on his own but he looks goofy as hell in the special forces, giving off that Saturday Morning cartoon vibe.

Maskless Sub is looking slick. Appears to be somewhat undead (the eyes) so I'm happy about that. Really dug how he isn't teaming up with the Special Forces, that's the exactly what I wanted from the Lin Kuei, to have their own way of going about things. Complete opposite feeling about Scorpion, I'm all for having him unmasked I just don't want "I use my hatred for justice and all that is good" Scorpion. Judging from Kitana and Sindel we'll at least get some big battle/ explanation of why everything got ressurected.

Loved the quick chariot scene between Kotal and Kano, that's the sort of stuff I was hoping for. HATED how they spoiled Reptiles death. By the G.I. Joe reject no less. The camera was different, that is definitely an in story fatality. I'm Happy were going to get them though. Looks like we wont have all the Earthrealm heros killed off in one go this time.

One last thing, I get a lot of people think her intros are witty but man... IMO Cassie Cage's voice actor is horrible. She seems to be the show runner of this whole thing too. I get she's supposed to be chill but the voice actor just seems to be giving zero effort.

Mostly good, a few bad.

I'm excited to play the story chapters that aren't the new kids teaming up. I really hope Shinnok is playable. He looks so cool but I feel like they are gonna fuck him over pretty fast.

Same here. Story mode looks even better than MK9 and injustice.

I also hope these characters are in the Pax East build next week. I don't think I'll be seeing much of PaX outside of the WB and Netherrealm studios booth.
