So i was waiting for clear in game Tanya footage to judge, and it seems like they effectively white washed Tanya, so sad. Why is this still happening in 2015? I predicted this back in 2011, Tanya in Deception was lighter than Jade, so if Tanya came back, she would be even lighter than Jade was in MK9.

Maybe we should spam petitions to make Tanya darker lol.

Tanya's new look wasn't bad, but unfortunately every time I saw her it just screamed this.

I like Tanyas look. People who think Jade and Tanya were black were wrong and they were clearly just tanned. This new timeline is busy so they dont have time to sunbathe.

"Black" as in what humans consider? No, of course not, Edenians are a mixture of a lot of fictional races that resemble Earth races.

However, their skin was always much darker than the other characters.

Why are Tanya and Jade's skin color always an issue with people? Look at their hair, neither of them are full black(if they even are at all)....they are never going to be the skin color people keep wishing them to be. Tanya and Jade's skin wasn't even that dark in Deception either. Don't know why people think there's such a difference now.

On all seriousness, I think Jade looked great in MK9 I'm game, i did find it strange that her classic alts were lighter than her Mk9 outfits though.

I don't appreciate what they've done with Tanya tbh. Getting rid of her milky dark skin pissed me off.

Considering the Asian characters actually look Asian now, except Sub-Zero who still looks white.

The problem with Jade is she was a pallette swap of 2 different white women. Ermac also has varying skintone each game for the same reason. All MK ninjas were played by crackers.

They're not from Earthrealm so it's okay to take liberties with them. Be glad the Briggs have black features although their skin tones could be darker. One might be led to believe that Sonya really was Jacqui's mom.

We're talking about skin colors not race, they're not black nor white, they're edenian for fucks sake. It's a matter of consistency, if Sonya or Kitana suddenly appeared with darker skin we all know people would notice something is off and complain about it, yet with Jade a Tanya it rapidly devolves into a race issue.

When we say they are "black" we don't mean they are black is in African/American, idk why people always think that, every MK fan that knowns anything about the lore knowns they are Edenian and not from Earthrealm, but that doesn't mean they cant be black lol That's like saying Shao Kahn and Baraka aren't white because they are from Outworld or saying Darrius isn't black because he is a Seidan from Orderrealm lol
