Baraka made me lol. He looks like crap

Luthor is meh/good/eh. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad.

Baraka looks ugly, but he does look more demonic.

Face-wise, I still think MK2 was his best. Costume wise, both of his MKD looks were good.

When I saw the first screenshot with Baraka recently, I thought it was a nice move to give him back the black eye feel from MK2. That along with his original teeth would make him look more intimidating in my opinion.

Nevertheless, his eyes from the render aren't that bad either. And what do you think? Wouldn't that be a better look for him?

Baraka Outfit is decent.
But i think facially is where he looks flawless.

Ok now not really a big fan of sir Lexington but the render is cool but i think they should of changed the color of his P-P-P-Powersuit(yes i am a stutterer jk)

Would've been nice if it was a bit bulkier. Most modern artists give it a bit more weight than that. I wonder if this is an indication of in-game uniformity among the size of most characters.

Baraka is okay. I don't know how I feel about the armor but he looks real beast.

To his credit, at least he has a reason to have giant corporate logos on his outfit. Not so sure that goes for Liu Kang's belt, or Scorpion and Sub-Zero's nikes.

I love how easily butthurt comic book lovers get over other people's opinions. It really is the silver lining in this whole MKvsDCU fiasco

At least the Joker doesn't have to worry about putting a smile on Baraka's face. He looks so happy already.

I think paired Superman's and Batman's most well known nemeses as best they could for MK characters. I'm guessing that Lex made the cut with Jax with their mechanic enhancements (at the dismay to Cyax/Sector fans). And Baraka may be paired with the Joker for there villainous smiles.

I really like Baraka because of how insane he looks. So much less human looking than previous takes on him, very MK II. If only his fighting style will reflect his madness rather than just a boring fighting style.

With Luthor... Who does he think he is? Luigi?
Seriously though, he looks as all right as he can be with me want wanting him as a fighter. But I would have preferred to see Luthor as a scheming background character like Quin-chi seems to be him the story. Oh well, at least his trademark boldness is intact.

You know what I think is interesting?

FIrst we get the first Baraka screenshots. The guy has pitch black eyes.
Then we get the render. The guy has yellow eyes.
Then we get more screenshots. The guy has red glowing eyes.

I KNOW, RIGHT! Who would put their first initial on their costume? So weak.

They both look bad to me.

Baraka will need "virtually real" graphics to make his look work in a 3D environment. The photoshop, and the 3d rendering isn't doing him any good. Whatever this method is, it's not working on him. He needs to look more real, or constantly be seen in motion with the different lighting Fx on him to drive his look home. Realistic skin would have really done him some justice right about now.

I don't like the military//warrior attire for him either(never have really). I liked it better when he could seemingly blend in until it was time for a fatality.

That and, he still isn't terrifying enough..... He needs something truly impressive and I think he has needed it for some time now.

A close up in animation, coming out of some dark corner might reveal something on him we haven't seen before? little scales on his skin?, unexplained gills? maybe even skin that looks virus infected? Idk, but something more impressive in order for a monster to be a monster now-days.

He needs more.

Lex Luthor looks like a good guy. Or, another Jax or Hsu Hao. To me, he's more intimidating in a suit and tie....actually, scrap the suit jacket, and maybe roll up his sleeves. *cigar*
