they should take a lot of extra time and work on THAT for a while.hope its actiony and brutal,like mine or fijikungfu's first one
tennis kombat.

It's like tennis, and shit... but the arenas are MK, and the rackets and shit.

there are a few specials that come with each character. The energy for specials are scattered around the court (it's hard to get them in the middle of a rally

Fatalities can be done at the end of the match, when you win

Scorpion

special 1- he spears the ball, brings it to himself, and hits it with his racket

special 2- fires spear. opponent must dodge it. If now, they're pulled to the ground, and they lose the round.

Fatality- scorpion offers the opponent the ball over the net. When they come to pick it up, he takes off his mask and toastys the shit out of them.


Subby

special 1- raises a wall of ice. Enemy can't get the ball around it for several turns when it melts

special 2- shoots a ice ball, and if they get hit by it, they freeze, and lose the turn.

fatality- freezes opponent, serves ball, ball hits opponent, shattering him to peices


sonya

special 1- does her flying kick on the ball, making it fly at the opponent fast

special 2- shoots a kiss of death at the enemy, if it hits them, they cough, and lose the round

fatality- jumps over the net, kicks the opponent in the balls, and then in the neck. She then blows a kiss at them. They barf, barf blood, and then die. reptile special 1- turns invisible (only for opponent) special 2- shoots a ball of acid, if it touches the opponent, they fall and lose round fatality- covers the ball in acid, and throws it at the opponent. When it hits them, it burns them pretty bad.

My concepts are too simple, I need to make stick figure animations with pivot instead...

Another couple Minigame ideas:

Character Building. Speacial Powers and Weapons.

I think we have become far too accoustom to using the "freeze, fire chi", or any weapons. I think a cool, relative Mini game if we are to have any, should allow us the opportunity to see what it takes to develop such a skill with these things.

I picture it as something that starts off small, and builds into more versed more ellaborate tasks. In the process, makes players character stronger, look different//better, and teaches the player something about the character they either build or choose to go the distance with(story) development.



With the weapons, things might be thrown//launched at you and you have to deflect them, helping develop defense tecniques and manuvering. Maybe a master of each the different arts. GrandMaster SubZero for elementals //Master Bo Rai Cho or Kung Lao for discipline and focus within your chosen fighting styles(hand to hand majorily) // NightWolf, Quan Chi or Shang Tsung for sommons and soucery//Scorpion could also train for say, endurance//Shinnok and Raiden on opposite sides of poweful cosmic development. Subject to how you design your character, or who you pick from the regular roster of course.

NOTE: This could be done in first person too, to add intensity but should be able to be done in third person view as well. After all, we're in 3-D enviornments.

I think the objects that are thrown at you can vary and could be dealt with differently. For instance, if canisters of firey coal are the thrown at you, and you have to prevent them from hitting you, Deflecting them isn't the only thing you have to worry about. Slatter could damage you.


Whereas, dirt, smoke, or water could effect your vision on screen as you attempt to accomplish the objective

Other challenges could include:

1. The Elementals (fire, water, earth, plant, animal challenges...Manipulating and control.)

2. Sorcery ( Chi and Sommons....Manipulation and control)

3. Accuracy and Precision ( Focus with a Weapon. Swords//Knives, Axes, Bow and Arrow, Guns [minimal really], Sticks, Poles, dual weapons and handling them effectivley under stressed situations.)

4. Experience. (Maybe a challenge or two that makes you go against the forces of nature//habitat.

a. "Climb//More like "tavel" to the top of the mountain(cold-- stay alive, don't let the elements of nature kill you)//

b. Cross the Oasis(hot-- stay alive, don't let the elements of nature kill you)//

c. "Find the Man"(future//technological....picture being droped in the middle of a city and playing a virtual "Where's Waldo" with a moving objective. Could be a strey dog or lost bird you have to find and bring back to your sensei)

These challenges could be timed, and could even have you collect certain mandatory little items on your way to the finishing point. Think of like Mr Miagi wanting a small particular type of tree in the Karate Kid series...the little irritating objectives you must have done in order to get approval from your master. The sequence that is 2:35sec into the video is something like what it should kinda resemble.

These could build experience in a way that would allow you to upgrade your characters capabilites, armour, more features....ect. Basiclly for fun and for money>> to get more stuff>> to make your character more like you>> or better in some way.


5. Mini- Game log//Character Log:

Stats, Skills aqcuired, Objectives completed, Gauged Potential in power, capabilities(what you are capable of......melee fighting, how many special moves you can perform, which ones and what types. Where you have been and what you did there....ect ect...Very ellaborate here so that we know what exactly is going on with our performance and where we need to improve in the mini games and in the fighting arenas..)

How many items you picked up for your Sensei, What they were used for, How much power//experience you gained. Maybe contains special videos of tips or advise that you attained during your missions.


6. We should be able to Save and retry any level of this//these minigames. It might be the differnce between life and death in a further part of the game somewhere. Stegnth, endurace, power...ect....Here comes another small video from Raiden or one of your other senseis'-- "Go back and do level..blah blah over". Damn! Haha! Probably be the level you hated to do that you must do better in order to win the mini.

"All that training Paid Off." Right? Right.

7. In the end, your story and accomplishments could be given to you in a semi-cenimatic ending. You might unlock a secret character or two....get a bunch a money....open up some rare clothes, armour, weapons, new special moves unique to your characters capabilites(picture a
level 50 freeze move or fatality or something.)

Since these new systems seem to be able to constantly update our games , new character endings, katas, information about your type of character could be bought(points) or downloaded to keep the game interesting.

More types of mingames, more types of weapons//special moves//fatalities //personality--character based story endings. More hint videos or clip notes...ect ect.

Story tid-bits could even be "auto-updated" seeing as how involed the internet is with these new systems. Your character has relative experiences eve while you don't play(bad or good depending).

Picture this:

"Your experience has dramticlly increased//decreased because of your allignment with .......any random good or bad guy/gal in the main part of the game....The next time you turn on your game...Cool! Right?

Okay i have an idea which wouldnt happen but anyway. Where you build you own city and all of the characters are either people you can summon or people you worship. The evil and the good. You have a choice to worship how about raiden or fujin. If Raiden then he will give you lui kang or kung lao to use. If fujin then Kai or Johnny Cage. Or if you choose evil shinnok or shang tsung. If shinnok quan chi or kano. If shang tsung goro or reptile. Your goal is to take down there city. Make your army go over to the opposite city and take them down. If two characters go head to head then you go to battle. In the battle if you win you can do a fatality. You can do special moves in and out of battle. If by chance you get sindel her out of battle special could be her scream. Where it damages everything by her.
I guess you could say it is kind of like Age Of Mytholigies.

hmmm... a strategic game... will there be armies... if so, that would be awesome... btw, it would probably make it if it was a seperate game rather a minigame, but then again, so will mine, so ill add it anyway wink

new Minigame, a rather simple one too...
You dogfight with pterodactyls or maybe even dragons or more...
maybe a few environments such as the Soul Tombs
there would be special moves per character, maybe 20 chars
8 players max
it will have a training system and level ups... so the more you play the game, the more stats you get...
it would be okay, but i hope better

i havent read the whole thread so forgive me if i repeat any ideas but i have a few...even tho i would rather the next mk not have any but here are some ideas ive posted in other threads and some new ones:

1: Mini-Golf = 6 characters,2 unlockable....each character has a special power swing or put....has to be atleast 2 players or 1 player vs com....whoever wins does a fatality to the loser.

2: Tug Of War = 1-8 player button masher or guitar hero type system to see who can pull the player or players into a pit filled with differents types of deathrap type things like snakes,spikes,acid,lava,rotating blades,a deep pit to just fall and splat on a floor,pirahana or shark filled water,ect...

3: MK Slot machine= pretty much self explanitory,win coins or whatever to unlock stuff

4: Shooting gallery= also pretty much self explanitory

5: Trivia mini game

6: A Hangman type mini game= basically like the word game hangman but with a twist...the players chosen is shown standing on a block with a nuece around his/her neck....an executioner stands along side with a large mallet....each time a wrong letter is chosen the executioner hits the block....the number of times the block is hit is according to the level of difficulty the game is set to....or it could have fatilities kinda like the puzzle kombat did.

7: MK Billiards= an idea i havent put much thought into

8: MK Olympics= might be too much involved to be a mini game though...idk

9: MK Carnival games= i forgot what ya call the game but the strongman one with the bell an hammer,dart games,reptiles version of lilly frogs(the game ya use a hammer to hit the thing to launch frogs onto a lilly pad lol),other canival type games i didnt list....

Nice ideas lycan!


Anyway heres my idea for one.....or two....or one....

Mortal kombat fair rides-Roller coaster-Rider-Your on a roller coaster and when it tells you to perform some combination of buttons it will show you that and a tim limit. So you have to do it quick. If you do it wrong or run out of time the coaster falls off the tracks leading to your death. That would be boring but there is a catch. While doing the button combinations you are also fighting someone else. You keep fighting people until you lose or buttons. The harder the level the more people.

novice-One person that your fighting at a time, easy buttons
easy-One person that your fighting at a time, harder buttons
medium-Two people that your fighting at a time, harder buttons
Hard-Three people that your fighting at a time, really hard buttons!

Operator-All things apply from rider but your not moving the whole time and no buttons There is also a catch for this one. There will be at least two people attacking you. One goes after you, the other goes after the buttons that opperate the roller coaster. So it gets pretty tough.

MK relation-You use any character you want and be good or evil.
Good-You do the button combinations, or protect the buttons.
Evil-Try to stop the computer from doing the button combos, or try to break the buttons
Thats it or at least for now.

I would want MK to have a soccer mini game.Maybe there would be an energy meter to fill up by perfoming tricks and stealing the ball and making the goal.When the energy meter is filled up all the way,you then kick the ball and it goes flying really fast and if it hits an opponent you can break his leg arm etc.Each character also has stats like lets say Subzero would be a fast paced chacter but has less powered then Goro.But the then Goro would be slow and not move that fast.In this mini game you could also unlock extras like new costumes and the creating of the game.

I was thinking. Maybe a mini-game where say, A guy is equipped with a knife or something, and he throws it. The player has so many seconds to simutaniusly hit two buttons or he will be killed. *Resident Evil 4 cutscenes*.

Mini-Kombat!

Gameplay:The fighting engine would not be the same as the MK games of these past MK games(2002-2006)but it would be something different.It could be from Tekken or Virtua Fighter,the characters would be able to create very intense and unique combos.You would be able to switch to a weapon.Each character would have a weapon that would match them i.e.Noob Saibot might have a scythe.When the characters are to draw out their weapons,their would be no punching involved.There would only be attacks from their weapon and kicks.

Arenas:All of the arenas would also be made a bit smaller but the characters will have lots of open space to demolish their opponents.The arenas would have death traps during and after the fight.Every arena in this Mini-game will have a stage fatality.The stage fatality will need only the use of 3 buttons so it will be a bit easier just like in MK1-MK4.Only the button combinations will be easier in this one.

Dead Pool-The look of this arena would be the same only there would be rusty,bloody hooks everywhere on the ceiling.Shang Tsung would be in his mini form on the corner of the room making comments during the fight just like he says "aww" when a character gets knocked into the acid.

Death Trap-During the fight if you're near or on the edge of the arena and your opponent delivers a strong blow on you,you will fly up into the air and get impaled on the hook.The hook will then lower to the acid where all of your character's flesh will be consumed by the acid.

Death Trap #2-After the fight once it says "Finish Him" you will have a choice of hitting him one last time and letting him fall on the floor or doing a stage fatality.The stage fatality in this arena is the character will uppercut his opponent up into the hooks were his flesh will get pierced by the ones he landed on.The opponent will squirm and shake while on the hooks and the hooks would have taken up lots of pressure that they will collapse from the ceiling and onto the floor were the opponent starts to twitch and leaves a puddle of blood.

The Subway-The arena will also be made smaller.The trains that pass by will have bloody spikes in the front while going at an enormous rapid speed.The trains will shoot sparks and electricity from their wheels because of that speed.

Death Trap-During the fight while your near the edge you would expect one train running you over.When you fall into the tracks a train will run you over and you will see that your character is still on the floor in a bloody mess.Your character will get up slowly in pain from the damage and another train will come and hit you at an even faster speed which will cause the spikes to impale you causing you to take a wild ride.What will be left of your character is just a trail of blood.

Death Trap #2-After the fight once "Finish Him" appears ,your character will push the opponent to the edge.The opponent will almost fall into the tracks but doesn't.A train will pass by and shoot electricity and sparks with its wheels and your opponent will catch on fire.The opponent will run around and fall into the tracks.A train runs over your opponent and puts out the fire.

Yin Yang Island-The arena will a few changes and be made smaller.On its good side it will have tall palm trees with monkeys climbing the trees and humming birds flying around.On it's bad side the trees will turn into giants snakes that druel blood with imps climbing on them and flying around.Their will also be two area transitions.The first is you get knocked on to a pathway which leads to a boat.The 2nd transition is you can get knocked onto the boat.

Death Trap #1-(during fight)On the islands bad side if you get knocked into the sea a giant snake will appear and grab your characters small body with its jaws and drag him to the bottom of the ocean all you will see after is blood in the water.

Death Trap #2-(during fight)When your in the 2nd are transition there might be a chance where your character is knocked off causing your character to fall onto the sea.The devil fish from MKD will chomp away.

Death Trap#3-(Stage fatality)THere would be 2 but they only work when your on the island.On the good side your character will push the opponent away from him.Monkeys will jump and attack your opponent with vicious blow to the body and face.When the monkeys get off the opponent will be a bloody mess with severed limbs.

Hells Foundry-Arena will be made smaller, everything will be the same including the death trap.

Death Trap #2-(stage fatality)Your character will take a few steps away from your opponent while a big pot of lava is dropped onto the opponent until nothing is left of him.

Krimson Forest-Everything will appear the same the arena will be made smaller.

Death trap #1-(during fight)Their is an arch way as seen on MKA,you can knock you opponent near the arch way enough that he goes through it.They will hear a sound.A tornado suddenly comes from the arch way that has picked up sharp objects like swords axes etc.Your character dodges it and the opponent attempts to but does not have the best luck.He gets torn apart by the tornado and sliced by the sharp objects.

Death Trap #2-(stage Fatality)I cannot really think of one but maybe you guys(and girls) could help me out.

Dragonfly-You people have heard of this arena that you may not remember but it made an appearance in MKDA.Arena will be made smaller.

Death Trap #1-(during fight)You get knocked off and fall to your doom!Muahahahaha!

Death Trap #2-(stage fatality)This ones pretty hard.A griffin comes and grabs your opponent and flies away while your opponent screamsgrin

Living Forest-The arena would be dark and foggy with the live trees all around the arena.Arena would be made smaller.

Death Trap #1-(during fight)You know what to expect with treessmile

Death Trap #2-(stage fatality)Your character pushes the opponent while a tree grabs and smashes,tosses,and impales the opponent until the opponent is lifeless.

Acid Bath-The arena would be made smaller.Some of the statues that spit acid would become toads though.What do you think?

Death Trap #1-(during fight)Get knocked into acid...sleepsorry i can't come up with anything else.

Death trap #2-(stage fatality)Your character pushes the opponent into the middle where all of the statues spit acid at the opponent until the opponent is a pile of bones on a puddle of acid.

The Pit-Nothing would change.The arena would be made smaller.
Same death trap.

Death trap #2-(stage fatality)Your opponent gets squashed by a huge boulder.=D

Shao Kahn's Lair(I forgot what the real arena is called so I put this,it's the one from MK1-MK3)The arena would be made smaller.

Death Trap #1-(stage fatality)Shao Kahn comes a crushes you with his hammer.

Characters:These are the characters that would be in this minigame.If you want to give a new set give me new ideas for the new set.

There will be a new feature that I named and created called Elder God Strike(EGS)I hope it can be used in actual MK games.It's like an aggressor but you use it to do a super special move that does about 20%-40% damage.You fill up the meter and use it.These moves are not blockable.You can only dodge them.

Another different move I created is called Dash or Dash hit.You tap the D-pad forward 2ice and your character dashes.While he/she dashes you can hit your opponent.You can choose from either a running flying punch or a small flying running kick.

I will put the names and EGS moves.If this ever becomes an actual mini-game Midway can come up with the special moves.the percent next to the name is the amount of damage delivered.

Scorpion- 30%
EGS move:Sting from the Netherrealm
He basically throws his spear at his opponent, once he hits his opponent ,the spear lights on fire while burning and pulling the opponent toward Scorpion.

Sub-Zero-30%
EGS move:Lin Kuei Touch
His hands and arms start forming a ball that he throws and makes his opponent freeze.He then shoots lots of ice at his opponent until the ice shatters and the opponent is stunned.

Reptile-25%
EGS move:Lizard breath
His head starts to get all smokey and shoots a fast big acid spit.

Cyrax-35%
EGS move:Bounty Hunter
He throws his green net that is a laser net and traps his opponent.Then the net explodes which causes lots of damage.

Mileena-25%
EGS move:Deceptive Beauty
She throws both of her sai while pink gas(poison) stuns the opponent.

Kitana-20%
EGS move:Sharp Princcess
She does the fan lift to her opponent and does a slash with her fans so strong that there is a blue light that follows them.

Hotaru-35%
EGS move:Chaos Destroyer
His palm lights up and shoots a powerful lava beam then shoots a lava explosion.

Havik-30%
EGS move:Chaotic limbs
He gets many sharp knives,he cracks his torso to the other side then turns it back to normal while throwing the knives and a few projectiles.

Motaro(4-legged)-40%
EGS move:Centaur charge
He glows green then does a rapid charge thats fast.

Goro-40%
EGS move:Shokan Fist
He spins really quickly while shooting flames then he comes down with a vicious flaming stomp.

Shao Kahn-40%
EGS move:Emperor shockwave
He gets his hammer and smashes it on the ground 3 times creating a shockwave stunning his opponent.

Onaga-40%
EGS move:The Dragon King
He makes a fire ballin his mouth then releases a big explosion directed to one direction.

Blaze-40%
EGS move:Armageddon
Blaze teleports away and beams start to shoot everywhere and a big explosion is caused then he comes back.
