This better not be THE MK8.
They're supposed to be focusing ALL of there time on making the MK franchise better. They better have hired new guys to work on this shitty MK VS DC so the REAL MK Team were able to work their ass off on MK8.
It doesn't make sense to say UR3 engine and then have MKA renders... there HAS TO BE two games coming out. MK vs DC maybe even be the new "mini game" or whatever.

I'm pretty sure they're going to say that it was consuming too much time or something along those lines.

MK VS DC is inevitable. There will be no new characters except those that are DC.

I think this is just a cruel joke. I hope so, anyway. It's a terrible idea to restart the franchise that way.

in my opinion, of course mk8 will not be MK vs DC, it is just a nasty rumor.

I still can't find the news story on their site. I am still hoping there will be a true MK8.

I swear to God, dude, if this versus game IS MK8... if this is THE game that was supposed to restart the franchise and make it everything it could've been before... if this is the game that was supposed to be darker and everything MK should be and there isn't two games, just this one... Boon can kiss my ass because he's never getting another penny from me. If this is true, this might just be up there with the biggest B.S. gaming events in history. What a sell-out.

Yeah, I'm not buying it. For being a "dark, gritty, realistic" game, having color characters with no-kill codes in a game about killing people just doesn't mesh. I remain skeptical until I see actual proof of the game, which should be sooner rather than later.

However, if it IS a MK vs DC game, consider me a disappointed fan.

I can honestly say, i wouldn't be mad. I've been waiting for a game with Martian Manhunter in it.

And TBH, Activision hasn't been doing anything as of late to make another X-Men Next Dimension game. So, this would be cool imo. Get the best of both worlds.

Anywho, I find it interesting that JRF and cyberdog have posted slightly"different" things. Like for example, according to cyber yes when I was chatting with him on here in another thread there's a wii version.....another there is only the MK vs. DC on the wii alone while 360-PS3 get MK8 alone... while JRF is saying otherwise....so no disrespect to these "inside" guys but really I think it's best to wait until Midway actually confirms WHAT exactly we are getting with MK8 because everyones saying something different so I think I'll just wait until later today once we have more updates and that vid on friday that the other dude posted from gamesradar.com


I'll be shocked if the Wii isn't getting some kind of MK 8 game though, remember the new Star Wars game:Force Unleased is graphically better and plays differently then the Wii version which got an exclusive fighting game, wii motions in lightsaber fights and in some ways is more interactive yet doesn't look as good as the other two obviously.....so I'm sure Midway has something planned for the wii(especially since more people have a wii more then the other two)

Why do you think thats a MKA render of Kintaro...lol. B/c like I said there using the MKA engine and already have the MKA renders for this Wii eclusive game. MK8's Unreal 3 Engine wont have MKA looking characters, there getting a fresh look.

But on a different note, lets hope this Wii eclusive doesn't doesn't do good as its a testing ground for future VS games. Ed Boon said if this works out well, they will make more VS titles.

So we all need to not buy or rent this crappy VS game.
