there were numurous things wrong with Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
First, I was pissed that x-play gave MK:A a 2/5. But now that I've played it, I know why they gave it such a bad rating.
Am I alone on this?

No, you're not, but there are others who liked it. Personally I think it was throwing away whatever ground they tried to lay with the previous titles.

Thats Nice! but why didnt you tell us this 6 months ago when the game came out.

Agreed.

Playing this game offline is pointless. If you really want a kick out of this game get your ass online. Then again the competition online is mediocre at best due to all the KAK scrubs, GS users, quitters, and cry babies.

I think what it lacked the most was/is "Enjoyment". It was just hard to "like" the damn thing after you'd beat it. Even while you're going through the motions with it, some elements are just hard to digest.
It was like giving a child a coloring book and letting them scribble all over the lines that make the Mortal Kombat dragon symbol.
I guess there was a picture//game in there somewhere....
I played it again for a while a couple days ago and, I just didn't want that.
Online is not too differet from offline. The only difference is everybody wanting to "be on top" and nobody "enjoying the game. Offline, you wanna enjoy the game but it's hard to keep playing it.
And that's without getting specific.

Ijust hope that in MK8 they have normal fatalities, because the create-a-fatalities really suck. And, hopefully, some characters won't return with the same costumes they had in the last game.

Yeah I think Midway didn't want to go through the whole process of creating two brand new looks/outfits for 62+ characters. So they just "copy & paste" that part into MKA from MKD and MKDA, lol. I just hope MK8 is much more balanced as far as characters. But in any fighting game you'll always those certain fighters that are dominant in that franchise.
I.E.-
Akuma- Street Fighter
Blaze, Moloch, Onaga- MKA
Dairou and Bo Rai Cho (considered God-tiers)- MKD
That's just a few. I'm just curious on what the new roster will look like.
i wouldnt go so far to say armageddon was completely bad,it was enjoyable, and the fact that few of my favrouit fighters was brought back was a bonus, but i thought it was lacking quality,it seemed like it was a bit of a rush job when u compare it to mk deadly alliance and deception...
but it was ok i suppose

It was indeed awful. First of all, I think time should be no excuse for rushing a game, Midway needs learn to be patience, after all MK is one of most popular franchises, so theres doubt that nobody would of not bought it.
A custom fatality system did not exist the game. It's false advertising, in the beginning, I wondered how could it be done. It doesn't seem possible at the moment. I would call it just a new fatality system, not custom. I was actually expecting link a series of pre-made fatalities that we link the all together and then setting up button a combination, but no, we had to deal with repetitive button pressing linking each move one at a time.
As for basic fighting, again, it seems repetitive. Most the characters felt like they were all played the same way.
The artwork is fantastic, but there is one problem, some of those renders have been recycled. Couldn't they took the time to make new renders for all the old They might as well just slap on the MK4 and MKT render of the characters who weren't in Deadly Alliance and Deception. It shows laziness.
I will have no saying on online play since I don't play online.
I noticed something was wrong when I was messing around with the KAK. The camera is sloppy. Sometime it will move to the left where I can't see half of my KAK.
Another thing, why can't we copy our data, you know, transfer it to another memory. I understand why the MK team did for DA but it was not necessary in Deception and nor MKA. Why couldn't they remove the copy protection?
The storyline, well, that has always been my weakness so I'll keep mouth shut about it. If someone else wants to discuss it, be my guest.
Konquest was the best part of the game. The controls weren't bad. It reminded of X-Men Legends or Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, but wasn't as good.
Score of 2/5 seems more like a compliment. 1/5

the game did feel rushed. I would rather wait a long time and get a decently-made game than wait a few months and get Armageddon.

damn, everybody left after mk armageddon was labeled crap
About Me
You know that "Scorpion Wins. Fatality!"

I think that it was a good game, but could have been better.KAK was cool, but was mostly a mix-and-match of characters. Konquests doesn't even diesrve a mention... I dispised it. Playing as every character and a half grade KAK is the only reason that it got mentioned. Motor Kombat was a waste of time in my opinion. Chess and Puzzle should have been restored, and a better Konquest and slightly better KAK would have given it a flawless 10/10. It's pretty sad, actually...

Ya, MKD had a MUCH better Konquest... I'm with you there!
