About the Reptile/Onaga's deal. It is... hinted 2 times, about the're separation.

1. Sindel's Deception Ending
2. Jon Vogal Hinting to Sindel's Deception Ending in Onaga's Trading Card

I'm convince that inside Vogal's mind, there were bio's.

But damm... whoever told him to cut the bios sucks. furious

I'd definitely rather have a petition for that T-Rex. I bought the Resident Evil Archives book, and that was a great item for RE fans. This would be a great chance for them to clear up the entire story, include unreleased sketches, ideas, etc.

An MK bible is something ive been hoping for for along time! and i was hoping they'd atleast post and official Mk story line from the great kung lao to armegeddon.. i think we deserve at the very least!

I mean i can even see how they can make things work.. the whope reptile onaga thing.. well i believe that onaga was defeated by shujinko last time, but not destroyed. then in comes sindel does her little thing which gives us mr. reptile back (as his body is seen in ninja form in her ending) and puts onagas soul back in his body. But since his soul has been brought back into this realm and back in his body.. onaga resurrects. Not quite as powerful as he originally was but still pretty powerful he raises up out of his sacred coffin now reborn. And as he goes to regain power, BAM here comes blaze to mess things up. Thats how i can see that being explained.. lol and id laugh if that was onaga bio too!

With frost thats easy enough.. and like some1 else said about mavado a kabal.. there are more than one pair of hook swords in the world. maybe mavado likes the feel of them and went out and bought some of his own.

Fianlly Havik has played a much bigger part in this game. Who's to say the charters that have officially died off in the past weren't brought back by havik somehow? jeeze.. with all the creative ideas I have for this game midway should just hire me to helped sort out storylines =-p

I have a business proposition for Midway. Have them release an official Mortal Kombat bible. Include the official chronology, the backgrounds and detailed game-by-game bios for each of the characters and maybe neat little details and designers' comments a-la Bio Kards. Finally, allow Vogel and his team of writers to have their way and explain what the hell REALLY happened in Armageddon. This kind of thing has been done before (MK3 Kollector's Guide,I believe),and the MK Team was always notorious for the fanservice,so why not give complete closure to this chapter of the MK Saga (the closure that should've been in the fucking game in the first place)? It's a win-win situation. The reasons for that are as follows:

1) The production values are minimal - it's text illustrated by already existing sketches and renders, for crying out loud. Merchandise and collectable items are a worthy investment. All of the Japanese companies seem to know that.

2) It will make for a highly desirable collector's item, especially if released in limited quantities. I can assure that every hardcore MK fan who respects the MK Saga and was, thus, disappointed by MKA's storyline will buy himself a copy. Please realize that these people are the core of the MK fanbase. Without their support and undying love for the game, the MK series would inevitably stagnate and die. They were promised closure, and offering them a huge "fuck you" instead wasn't very nice. This bible, should it ever see the light of day, will show them that you still care. Hell,I'll personally go out and buy two copies. If that thing ever comes to fruition,I'll be anticipating it more anxiously than the actual game. smile

PS: Vogel freaking rox0rz. I've always been saying that. =)

Thats great and everything but thats just more money they suck out of my pocket the explanation for MKA needs to be free because damn 50 bucks for the PE was not worth it the story should be in it thats one reason we buy MK for the story where is it no where to be found

Plus how can people be excited for MK8 when we got fucked in MKDA MKD and MKA. MKD probably was the best they ever got MKA's fun just because you can be anyone but other then that it blows really really bad. All 3 were rushed so whats MK8 going to be Midways going to rush them again because starting completely ove will take awhile and in the end I'll be stupid enough to but it cuz I love the series and probably once again I'll Get F*CKED

If Project Soul, Soul Calibur 3 can post up character bios, including the Bonus characters like Hwang and Li Long. Then so can Midway.

Dammit... give Vogal the greenlight already!

There's also another possibility...

As you all know,a Wii port of MKA is currently in the works. The reason for the elimination of bios might be Midway's decision to release an "Ultimate MKArmageddon" on the Wii that will actually have the bios and (dare I say it?) possibly even Khameleon. That way, they screw us out of our money twice. If that's what they are going for, that is an extremely asshole decision on their part.

Nonetheless, spending more money on a complete Armageddon storyline beats having no Armageddon storyline at all... -_-

Even if this was true, you think posting this up about John Vogel is wise? You could be getting him fired, and that is not a good ideal I say. The story is terrible because it makes no sense, I think this whole tread should be taking down, start the petition I said, but if some one sees this, this man will be in some trouble...this is not about screwing people over. furious

He wouldn't get fired over this. And yes, it's about the company screwing the consumer over if they think they can take stuff out and add it into a later release as an incentive to sell more copies.

Studios do this all the time with DVD movies, where they'll leave out a certain amount of deleted scenes or something so they can re-release the movie the next year as a "Collector's Edition" or some such with the rest of the scenes added.

If Midway thought they could get more hits to the game's website by having the bios only available there, or think they could get more sales from, say, the Wii version by having them only available on THAT version, you bet your ass they'd go along with that idea. They're about doing whatever they can to wrangle as much money out of the consumer as possible.

Well you make a good point. I can't go against that...what makes you so sure he won't get fired if that was the case? Well the game does suck and it is obvious that what Midway was up too. Any one can see that, he seems like a decent man, with a good heart. Fucking corporations do not care though.

Tell your friend that I appreciate his email to Vogel, maybe this will fix up some plot holes in the story line. Is there anyway to email John again, and tell him that 90% of the fans really hate the endings, and he should publish new bios AND endings in MKA webiste, so it will cover all the hate towards the storyline. John won't use ideas from fan endings, since he is forbiddened to make any contact with a writer outside Midway, though we can still give him suggestions and opinions.

Ok so Midway says no bios, this I can believe, however the need for bios isn't that necessary if they explained things in half decent endings. This would lead to an ending of the story line, no BS "they get god-like powers", and good canon explanations.

That's very true. I can understand Vogel being upset over the lack of bios, but there is no excuse for those piss-poor endings that explain little of the characters...

Unless the higher-ups forced him to write such crappy endings.

The game is still shitty, bios are needed...the dude above you Homer is dellusional to think any game can do with out a good story and Biographies. At least Tekken Tag had endings that made sense...even Roger playing Rock, paper, sisscors with Yoshimitsu even worked out well.

Correction, MOST of Tekken Tag Tornament's endings made sense lol but I'm getting a little ahead of myself here so I'll get back to the topic. There's noexcuse for how sucky these endings ended up being. However I understand why Vogel is unhappy with the way shit turned out. Games without a good storyline ends up being like that movie Gigli.......just plain shitty to an infinite degree.

I can only pray they make a MKA Ulitmate or whatever they will call it...WE DEMAND BIOS, MORE STAGES, AND I noticed that Johnny Cage and Cyrax have the same throws...Lui Kang and Reiko have the same recovery pose as well. Hmmm...cheap! Also, I thought Rain father was a general killed when Shao Kahn took over Edenia, it is not Argus, that means that Delia had to cheat on him, or she did this long before she met Argus. Hmmm

I was dissapointed when I found out that there are no bios in MKA. This was supposed to be the game that ties up all the loose ends, and plot holes that the series has. Instead it just makes things even more confusing. I thought that Onaga took Reptiles body. So what is Reptile doing back in MKA? That's just one of the questions I have. It was a stupid idea to cut the bios! The fans of the series deserve to at least know what the story is. It seems like they just put every character from the series in MKA, cooked up a story for the game, and threw in all the characters. Most of the characters who weren't in MKDA or MKD don't seem to have a story at all. The just seem to be there.

Why can't they post Bios on the website? If this game is supposed to tie up all the loose ends then they should post bios. Instead of clearing up the confusion they just created more. The game kicks ass, but the story is even more confusing than ever before. Who know what the real endings are? Who knows how the real story plays out? At this point I even doubt that the developers of the game know! It looks like they are just making up the story as they go along. Okay mabye I'm being a little to harsh. I just appreciate a good story and Mortal Kombat had a good one. I can't say that Mortal Kombat has a good story now since the characters in it barely have stories of their own. I'm realy let down by the fact that there are no bios. I hold little hope for there being bios added at all. It's to bad. They dropped the ball in a big way.

A petiton won't work as well as if someone found Midway marketting's e-mail address and we all just individually e-mailed them intelligent, calmly worded explanations about how important the storyline is to the fanbase and how disappointing and damaging it is to the franchise that there aren't any bios in Armageddon.

Anyone have, or seen the Marvel Encyclopedia?

If there could be something like that for MK, I'd be so happy. Instead of short little bio's, they could be huge, since there's 62 characters instead of over a thousand.

Plus there could be major focus on the storyline ect.

Ahhhh, Logic prevails.

A "new" rendtittion of Mk3, A totally new rendition of thistoriys' tendencies as well. Mk3//UMk3//MkT. And so the "plot" thickens.....hopfully. Right?

I'd be for a pettition for these as well but the Newsletter that was just recently posted is leaving me in shams too. I just got finished beating this game and I don't know what the hell to think about the story.
