All for one story?

I know the game is titled "MK VERSUS DC" but that doesn't mean that the MK guys would all team up and fight against DC heroes and villains. It would seem more likely to get DC heroes and MK heroes on one side, and DC villains and MK villains on another. If they are going to do it this way, hopefully EVERYONE teams up to fight Dark Kahn, because it would be gay to have Sonya team up with Shang to fight Batman who's teamed up with the Joker. Otherwise it just turns into MK Armageddon where characters were forced into distinct sides despite their individual personalities and allegiances.

I'm guessing this will be near the conclusion anyway. Hopefully we have some build, lone encounters, and interplay of rivalries and characteristics before everyone goes "Wait a minute, the big bad is going to destroy us! We've got to fight together!"

I'm seriously hoping that it's not all MK characters fighting DC characters. Batman should be teaming with Liu Kang to take on Lex Luthor and Shao Kahn. What sense would it make to have Shang and Liu team up to fight Superman and Luthor?

It reminds me of that thing where you see two brothers who fight and quarrel viciously and there looks to be a lot of hatred between them, but when someone picks on either one of them, they'll stick up for each other.

There's enough there on the MK side to make more than an adequate challenge for the DC characters. I'll be bold today and say: "Even without the magic ploy that this game has implemented in a few cases."

I'm soo sick of that.

All we need are well written MK character EDIT: "Descriptions" to see how even they are.

I don't know why but seeing this really makes me want this game. I have that old feeling like when MK2 was coming out. This story will shock us.

I'm thinking this will turn out how most good guy vs good guy stories turn out: they initially start out fighting but then realize that they have a common enemy and team up to take it down.

I don't think that the characters standing position are any indication of alignment at all. I also agree with PR, it was NEVER confirmed that Kitana was evil for this game. People have just been confusing the conversation about her origin story.

Why do the cinematics look so bad compared to the actual fighting portion of the game. As far as I can tell, it's the same models/enviroments, and it just looks horrible.

Though it doesn't make sense when none of them are related and half of them have a history of double-crossing their so-called "allies" for the sake of their own advancement.

If they wanted to go with consistency, Shang Tsung would be trying to find common ground with a DC villain like Lex Luthor so as to combine his sorcery with Lex's money/technology/influence/whatever the fuck he has to destroy ALL the enemies. It might reek of MK:DA, but at least it makes sense.

Of course, there is this controlling thing that people have speculated is going on. So, Dark Kahn could be drawing the DC and MK characters to fight each other like moths to a flame...

Why would Batman or any of the DC heroes team up with the MK heroes? They are different beings and while they may be good they all don't know each other and right now they are trying to protect their own universe. Yes Liu and Shang hate one another with a burning passion, but they realize that to survive they must stick together, they know what to expect from each other, but with these new superheroes and villains invading they don't know whether they are good or not. You think Batman is going to question whether or not some ice shooting Ninja who has just showed up in Gotham city is good before fighting him?

I think the only reason Shang and Kano stopped is they were looking at Sonyas Chest LOL

The picture doesn't WOW me but I'm very happy Tsung has that dominant force he once had during that MK I era. Or Kano is being a pansy and screwed something up and now he's going to pay the price and is begging for forgiveness.

lol Warrior princess. Kitana looks very..."interesting" in this game. She can loose the ribbon, I don't care much about it, and the mask as well. I know I keep bringing it up but come on, besides MK2 and the MK3 series, when has Kitana wore a mask? There better be a reason. It just irks me you know?
