This is a better looking vid than the last one though.

1. They used the MK1 font at the beginning of the vid.

- for presentation, I have that font somewhere on my computer.

2. There's the dragon symbol on the hood of the car. + for presentation. simple lighting work, but it doesn't look completely "Photoshoped(program oriented). Looks like they had a car prop there, and flicked the lights on and off..then added the dragon symbol shadow. So yea, +'s for that.

3. Look at the left-hand of the screen for the first 5sec of the video...Keep your eyes there because there's a face that appears in the form of a reflection on the windsheild . Looks like Sal Divita dressed up as Nightwolf to me...but it's unclear. + for presentation....secrets?

4. There looks to be a face on the wrong side of the rear-view mirror. (could just be lighting, so nia + or - for presentation)

5. "Darker and Grittier" = Moon = Night time. The girl in there could be a new character from the moon.....mind as well say this to; that La-Luna may be her name.

6. The music seems reminiscent of MK3-T too. Like it was remade or something....I don't recognize it though.

7. Oh yea, the girl shifts gears in her car with stick shift....could be a subtle hint to the Joystick//arcade days....or "Gears of Wars graphic engine" UnReal Engine 3. idk.

8. One last thing I noticed, is the woman at the end, Opens Her eyes during the drum roll, and black out flashing..

Anybody notice anything else?

That's the font from the first MK... Presumably an allusion of no importance to the first game, where the phrase comes from...

I think the "face" in the mirror is just a weird reflection on the outer casing of the rear view mirror.

If there's anything in the vid that has me particularly curious for inexplicable reasons, it's the weird hooked thing hanging down from the dashboard. Wha'ts all that about?...

Before the shadowed moon turns into the MK symbol, it's rimlit with blue and an orangey/yellow hue. MAKES YOU THINK!!!

I've never heard of, nor driven a car with those things on the console of a car.

That's just a weird thing to see at all, let alone this vid. Makes me think it more that it's a prop car. yknow? Who needs a "Brake" button beneath the stereo?

That's what I was thinking. I thought maybe it was a weird American thing, especially if it's an older, eighties car or something. Cassette? Pfft, like, is MK8 set in the past? Like, shyeah! iPod plugin, hell-o-oh?

Actually, jokes aside... Imagine if they were going to compensate for budgetary constraints that prevent CG FMVs, and instead decided to give using actors another go. I can't imagine digitized in-game builds, but a greater emphasis on story would be pretty neat.

That sort of comes from thinking about this video and the supposedly linked clip wih Raiden in it, from earlier in the week.

I'm not inclined to start buying into these clips as legit just yet, but live-action back in the games? It's fun to think about!

That's not a bad thought either. Maybe they caught on to the fact that alot of people are still playing the old games and want to capatolize on that again.

The woman at the end of the vid does look pretty real...almost too real to be CG. Hell, if that's a representation of the characters graphics that they're planning to employ, it looked pretty damn photo-realistic at it's worst. I'd be all for that.

idk.....If it's still the full animated characters though, I hope they get close as possible to the way it looked pre-MK4, and supersede that with the current technology. Cuz when I play UMK3 on 360, it's still extremely cool to see the real people in there. 15yrs, and leaps later from those graphics technology.

I think the Raiden one is fake video...and if it isnt i would have expected much more from them than this crapy looking teaser video especially since the Raiden figure in it looks like a cut out from a picture that someone photoshoped and cut off the nose shape! ..i do like the other video though :) La Luna
