Think about it, the future for both can be grand. More comics and movies and maybe even TV shows. WB owns all of the DC movies, New Line owned the MK movies but they have been brought by WB. This game can really lead to a whole bunch of fantastic things. The DC comics will become more darker and evil. Things will be heaven.

Unless you take into account that you can't do a cohesive story with Superman and Green Lantern running around destroying bosses in one hit.

??? You obviously didn't read any thing on MKVSDC.

How did I obviously not read anything on it? I looked for all the information I could find and found nothing that explained how Superman wouldn't demolish anything the MK roster could bring together. If you have an interview or something that contradicts this please link it.

You could do a lot if the two universes were to co-exist in one universe. Example, Batman keep files of all the villains on his Bat-Computer, Superman could fly to Outworld in case there was ever a shortage of portals, the Justice League could reprogram a Boom Tube normally used to travel to Apokolips to go to any other realms, it could have some real possibility :)
On the other hand, if they existed in the same universe all along, then Raiden was a damn fool for not inviting Superman, Green Lantern, etc. to the MK tournaments to fight for Earth Realm in the first place.

I'd be a lot more interested if the characters were absorbed into the comics.
In a strange sort of way, I think that platform suits everyone a lot better than transitioning superheroes into a beat 'em up video game. I can't say the genre has ever made a huge amount of sense to me, given how often it's used.
It would be very interesting to see the MK characters absorbed into a much larger world, though. I think the fact that DC is so much more diverse than MK makes it so much easier to envision the meeting on DC's turf.
If DC were to intergrate them like previous acquisitions (ie; Charlton, Fawcett characters) you could imagine the MK characters really being spread across the many corners of the DC Universe.
It would be interesting to see them forced into situations where an involving plot would be a lot harder to avoid. I think between the attention of writers, and pencillers who would hopefully adopt the more individual looks presented in later years, the characters might be better than ever.

No Will not link it cause its all over the place in videos. Its been confirmed that since the story is driven by magic, it affects Superman and alot of strong DC characters. Why? Because Superman is vunerable to magic, so that allows it to be a fair fight. Also, boon also said alot of the human mk characters (like liu, sonya ect) are elevated in power.

You have alot of excelent ideas. I think MK should become apart of DC or atleast make a cannon MK series and a MKVSDC series, the "cannon mk series" will continue to be stand alone ect. Or you can do it as if there are alternate universes like in DC comics. This deffinatly shouldnt be a "one time deal". I mean, come on guys, like MK4,MKD or MKA were really amazing games.

I do NOT want to see this as a canon thing. I just want this to be done and finished so we can get back on track with the real MK stuff.

And like MK will ever be restored to its former glory. Wow, what a laugh.

I can see where that kind of emotion comes from, but do you really want the wait for MK9 to be interrupted by something completely inconsequential?
It'll be a hard compromise, but I'd like MKvsDC to at least make some sort of significant statement for the MKUniverse. The cushion of alternate universes already existing means there's the potential for a clean break from this game, but that doesn't necessarily mean we have to progression for the characters.
It'd be nice if there was at least something small to take away from this game.

And it'll make the MK universe even much more bigger if there are alternate universe and we could gain a few new DC kombatants, this could really expand MK. I'm sorry, but MK2 was the last "great" mk game. Why not try something new.

Free Fall Kombat or whatever would be pretty cool to have in future MK games I must admit. And the graphics look good, but what I'm sayin' is I don't want it to be canon. This is my opinion. It looks fun in terms of gameplay, I just don't think it should be part of the story.

Well thats pretty stupid. Get over the the fact that mk will never be what it used to be for crying out loud. Face the facts, MK is dead anyway.

MK and DC were never meant to mix. Honestly I'd rather wait 5 years for a real MK game than till fall for this. Most DC characters don't look like they'd fit as kombatants. I don't know about you, but Superman in his blue and red tights aren't what I expect in an MK game.

Have you ever played MK3 before? You really think the DC characters are going to look out of place with the power rangers look alike that are the mk characters? Don't make me laugh. And who the hell are you "never meant to mix"? This could be the thing that breathe life in to this dead series.

Um yeah I have. And yes I do. And I will make you laugh if I feel like it, don't tell me what to do. If you think it'll bring back the series, that's your thing. You asked our opinions, I'm giving mine. If you don't like it, then ignore my post or don't ask for it.

Do you really mean that, or is that just a reactionary response to a less than desirable situation.
I'm still pretty shakey about the notion of the crossover, but if we're going to waste time with this sort of distraction, I'd at least like something I can take away from it. There's no reason the MK story has to screech to a halt. Sure, this might be slightly removed from the core story, but the individual characters have no reason to freeze for this game.
We can still get forward movement on MK's terms.
Asking for a time waster seems like throwing in the towel.
