Umm, cause it's his outfit. If he was just all clear matter then he would look pretty lame and plain.

Also the BoS symbol is a bit different if you look closely. It's not the same exact symbol and if it's meant to be the BoS symbol, then maybe Smoke was deceiving Subby all this time or he just joined now. Either way, it's NOT Noob cause of the character select screen.

It's cool, Krsx66, I'm not mad at ya. Actually, I'm not mad at anybody, I'm just frustrated. Well, the word frustrated just doesn't do justice.

Anyway, the symbols aren't the same. Like I said, the BoS symbol closes at the top, while the symbol on Smoke opens and curls up at the top.

Lets hope that is smoke, and they GET RID of the thing helping him to breath (if thats what it is).

People will be going "oh what a kabal rip off".

Like a lot of people, I'm pretty sure that this character is Smoke, having another character being transparent like this wouldn't make sense. I love how every character is turning out, I really have no complaints. I've been blown away since that first render of Baraka; it's just all so exciting to me.

See, we have to keep the title Deception in mind, and now with all of the theories floating around, I don't really what to think. There was the whole Kenshi/Red Dragon theory a few days ago because of the Red Dragon symbol on his sash. And now we have a BoS symbol on Smoke's boots. I think it's great that there is a possibility that we could be all taken aback by all the things we thought we knew all along, or even the things we are assuming now. I'm just waiting for a Lin Kuei symbol to appear on the pants of Liu Kang. LOL. I love it; you can't trust anyone or anything!!

Man, these things always happen while I'm at work and by the time I get home the boards are flooded! But enough of my whinning...

I do think its Smoke. He's transparent like described, a ninja, and grayish. I don't think its Noob since we've already seen 2 of his, plus the fact many people believe "Skab" is just more outfits for Noob. How many "outfits" of Noob they planning to show? No one else has displayed more than 2 yet. If its not Smoke its a new guy.

As for not smoking they probably just haven't added it yet, much like Sub-Zero's scar, Ermac's lifebar pic, People shown using the wrong stances, etc.

I'm okay with Smoke's look. Better than a Blaze palette-swap. Needs to have his clothes made from something other than leather though

Oh yeah, and I highly doubt they had Smoke's outfit show his asscheeks. They'd only do that if they wanted a character to show skin, and I doubt Smoke's grey, transparent butt would do anything for the ladies

well, ive read this whole topic through and I have to say,. that theres something wrong with u guys if you think thats noob, I wouldnt say its not a NEW character because I am open to surprises but this is getting ridicoulous.

First we have that rain guy saying midway wouldnt screw us over (yeah right, lol) and then we have people who think its noobs alternate when he already has 2 to begin with. and the fact that we know Noob has flesh as temp said in one of his posts should totally throw that idea out of the window.

I mean I know he looks like shit, ill be the first to admit it, but heres to hoping his alternates will be better

Dude, wtf? Wtf makes you think the select screen pic is him in the first place? All that comparison does is the too show that it's the same character.

Is any one here besides me sick of hearing that stupid comment about his pants? Look closely they are connected in the back so they aren't something he stole out of Michael Jacksons closest. I like the way he looks. I'm hoping to get a glimpse of his alt out fit in the comming months.

I'm really liking Smoke's look, I think he looks totally kick a$$! I agree with TemperaryUserName and all of his arguements, they all make sense and everybodies arguements about this character being Noob are nonsense, its crazy. Why can't you people live with Smoke looking this way? And everybody saying that he doesnt look like his body is made of smoke has got to be blind. His body is a gray transparancy and it looks like smoke, the only way they could make it look more like smoke is if they added more of a smokey effect. Well thats what I think about this whole matter and I think Smoke looks great!

i love smoke like a fat kid loves cake and i must say he is looking pretty sweet.
also the design on his boot is clearly different than the "BoS" logo so yeah^_^

I will say it again, for me and for my own, the logo looks like the Brother Of Shadows, I repeat, for me it looks like it.
Who are/were the members of this clan? Quan Chi, Noob Saibot, Reiko, Quan Chi's assasin like Sareena,....and so on.
If this is Smoke and if that's the logo I'm saying, than the MKteam screwed once more the storyline and they are just adding more holes and nonsenses.
Damn I miss Tobias, MK was special mainly because of the storyline and that's what made MK stands more than the others.
I won't hold back until it is confirmed by the MKteam.

it looks ike sub zero, the mask and everything, but just in gray...if this guy wanted to fool uis he could have edited a pic of sub-zero and put IGN in the bottom right...

Hey, has anyone realized that Smoke's mask looks just like Subzero's, only doesn't completely cover his head? It has the spike things, just like Sub. Also, did you notice his jacket is similar to Subzero's costume in MK3 (the unmasked one, not the other one), only grey. I agree with Temp, it's gotta be Smoke, because we've already seen Noob unmasked (creepy shite). Also, the pic bears a resembalence to the space next to Kenshi, so unless that pic is Noob's primary, that is not Noob. I bet Smoke is just in his begining stages, the MK Staff is touching up on his smoke, making it more realistic, etc. This could also be his alternate, his primary could be him completely covered up (like Noob).
