We should have an archive of user created Avatars, Signatures, Userbars, and Wallpapers for people to choose from.

Becoming an image editor on this site, and over time, making things that nobody uses sometimes feels like a terrible waste of talent and good art. I know we have the archive with the generic avatars to choose from, so I just wondered why we couldn't contribute to that section of this site...

I have some logistic ideals about this also, for more just pm me if anyone becomes interested.

I have two suggestions that I think would be nice:

Revised Editing: I have in mind revising the edit feature to where instead of you going from the page your post is on to your post, you could just edit your post on that exact page. I think this would be much easier for users to correct mistakes on their posts they didn't before.

Revised Avatar Selection: Currently, the only way we can get avatars or Signatures is through linking pictures for other sites. I think it would be good to include an option where you have the choice to get avatar from your computer as sometimes the website's that get linked may time out or not longer be available.

Part one, of my fixing MKO book.

1. Topic creator should be able to close his/her own thread, and instead of mods closing a thread, it should just be deleted or moved to a mod only forum, where they can see what happend. Oh and change the visits # into posts #.

topic creators: Simply, this is to allow them to close their own thread gives them responsibility within the community to clean up a problem, by just closing a thread down. Without much mod intervention in a thread. There are examples of topic creators wanting to close their threads, but since there is little activity amongst some mods, letting them close it themselves would do just.

Mod powers: Simply just closing a thread isn't the best solution(for mods, that is). Deleting a thread in general/moving them to a mod only forum. This is intended to quiet down anger and things that might be used in the future to attack a fellow mko user.

updating visit-post: This visit # can be easily manipulated just by leaving the site, and coming back in like 15 minutes later. The post count is a more traditional option, mko needs to become more traditional in this regard. Because honestly, post # is a more interesting needless stat then visit #.

Oh and I wonder if this thread is now going to be closed just because I posted and intend on a giant revamp to the site in general. sad

These ideas are general statements, for further inquiry from me about my revamp, someone with high office should contact me. wink

that might be a bad idea. That would make people angry that there post is gone instead of getting an explaination from a mod before the threads closed. Plus if it's posted, it shows others what they shouldn't do.

Though i think pred's idea for avatars selection would be nice.

Deleting flamed threads is much better then just closing it. Saves a person from misery.

That just means you're shadow banned, in other words, your sig or avatar went over the limit of bytes this site allows.

Send an instant message to a mod and they'll fix it for you fairly quick.

Online Gamer tags: I think this would be another welcome change. Instead having to go to a thread with gamer tags or asking around, everyone's tags could be put under their Visit count like this:

Visits: 1003
PSN: RACECAR
XBL: Spyker88

I think this is alot easier.

I wish there was a rank that can tell us who's banned and why. It saves a lot of time wondering if the user is either inactive, or banned.

I wanna know what a dude's got to do to rank up on this site. I've been here what, 4 years? I'd like to be higher than a Mortal. I contribute enough

Changeable Usernames: The one thing that I always don't like on most forums is the fact that the only way to change your username is to make another account and have the other closed, erasing your history on the site and the privileges you had under that name. Instead, you could go to "Settings" , put in your desired username, and you have the choice of Clicking "Preview" to see if that what you want or make corrections, and/or click "update" to apply the change.

Actually, most forums have that functionality. Administrators simply turn it off. However, this is a kustom made forum, and seeing that's it's already programmed extremely poorly, it probably isn't even possible to change a member's username in the control panel.

Did you try to post again right after you posted in another thread? Its probably this site's flood control that prevents users from flooding. It can be a pain sometimes.

Well, I'm not too sure, but I do know it seems to happen way to damn often on this site

Are the profile things ever going to be updated, ala PSN ID's for PS3 and GamerTags for 360?
