For an unexperienced MC Parody really stepped up.This battle was all he cared about. Last time he came to my house, all he did was work on his raps.

And beleive me when I say he really did try to upload his audio, just not enough time.

I was pretty interested in hearing your audio verse too man. So just fyi, once you've recorded your vocals, you have to save it(cuz it should still be a "wav" file or whatever), and then convert the file type to an mp3. I just use my Windows media Player plugin for that
(Tools>Plugins>Audio Converter). And if you don't have that, go to the official windows site, find it, and download it because it's free....but you gotta find it ugh.

Right now all I'm using is a regular ol', desktop mic with the Usb cord, the Sound recorder that came on my Pc, that Audio Converter, and I found a site that will allow me to upload mp3s.... "ZoomShare.com. Basiclly in that order too, I just didn't realize I could do it until right before this matchs' first round.

Another thing too man, I recorded my 2nd audio verse after the voting was announced so, if you get it somehow, put it up anyway and let us know........

Damn. This is a hard one for me to vote on. Both put out a solid effort, and Parody definitely had some good "slams". I'm gonna have to go with Pred though, because as Scorp748 pointed out, Parody's rhyme scheme almost became too predictable. No offense though man, I really liked your shit.

It was a fathers day gift last year but I think she got it for about 20$. I mean it's a "Logitech", and they make really good pc stuff. Sht actually, my wireless controller to my Ps2 is Logitech too so, I like the brand. But I'm sure you could go to Best Buy or Target or something and find this kind of thing.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I think it should be a rule that when you vote you should also have to give reasoning as to why you voted the way you did. I think it makes it more legit.

He has more rythmic breaks than you, and the tempo changes are obviously implied in his writing style. Your flow was constant and repetetive (aka boring). You also got very sheepish and friendly in the last verse, which is not very good for a rap battle. Also I thought your lyrics were really immature and the rhymes were redundant with entire sections using one sound to rhyme through most of it. In short..........you were owned. Is that legit enough for ya, or do I need two forms of picture I.D. and a birth certificate to start an account?

Someone mentioned "reputation". Well that's the first thing I thought about when I re-acted. So yea, I had those people come in here and read or listen to the battle. They're people that know I rap, or already like my material. My Myspace


I simply wanted to send a message that "We play fair" in here. So, to bring this nicely confused little match and vote to an end, Parody will recieve the maximum reward...as if he beat everyone on his bracket trail fair and square, Including me. (doesn't matter to me, i don't need the reward)

Oh, and one more thing: My "buddy" list is an almost completely active 80-100 current users on MkO.....I could have kept going, and going, and going...lol

The next time this type of thing is suspected no reward will be given.

Can I sign up for a 1 on 1 battle or is everything already set in stone? I can't do audio (don't have the equipment) Sorry if I am asking a stupid question, I just wanted to have fun and write some lyrics, I don't really care if there are rewards either.

I got some surprises in store for this kind of thing. When it's time (it's gonna be a while actually.), I'll pm people and see if they wanna participate on a short term basis like that. Glad to see you're interested, and if, like I suspect someone doesn't show up, I'll come and ask you then.

I'm not usually one to complain, but dude...who do you think they were gonna vote for? Fair enough, you've made up for it by giving Parody the top reward, but I don't think its fair when you get people off your buddy list in. Just my 2 cents. Congrats to Parody for getting the reward, it was highly deserved.

Exactly my point. I think it's "fair" to say that I'm like the only dude on here who actually:
1. Goes to the studio and records for real..
2. Gets on stage and gets paid for it..
3. Actually has a real reputation for being a Midwest Hip-Hop artist.

As far as my buddy list, I didn't have to go as far as to "use my buddy list" this time. My list is just big enough to where, whenever I'm online at least 5 of the people that are online at the same time, are also on my buddy list....So I just see who's online. lol

Makes "Vote Hustling" a really bad game to play with me...

That's what I mean though Pred...you do this professionally - if anybody should be 'vote hustling' it definitely shouldn't be you, you're skilled enough to do it without getting other people in. You say it's a bad game to play you against but no one was trying to, you initiated it. Still, let's drop it and start the second bracket - I'm patiently waiting for my spot.
