Wow...so Dr. Manhattan is more powerful then Superman, Hulk, Silver Surfer and Phoenix?

Ok, well the more and more I read/hear and watch about Watchmen the more interest I have.
It's dark, DC and has badass characters :) Just the style I prefer.
Anywho...
Not much in the power department but has a nice story and this Dr. Manhatten has some slick powers. I did some reading up on him and wanted to post a few links and see what you guys thought.
I was reading some links to him but found this break down rather interesting.
If anyone here that's also obsessed with comics and powers wants to chip in, feel free. I'd like to hear your views as well.
This guy must be beyond powerful seriously if he can take out Superman, Hulk, SS and Phoenix with ease. At least in this link I read where this guy literally breaks down everyones power.
Check it out here...

Now personally, I'd love to see how Dr. Manhatten would fair against Amazo(especially the cartoon version since he was insanely powerful it was ridiculous) who takes your powers and adapts constantly.
And
vs. My boys Raiden and Fujin being Gods literally.
But I suppose for now we can discuss the comic book comparisons.
Discuss.
Dr. Manhatten looks really cool though.

So you're reading about Watchmen and your response to it is....who'd win if Dr. Manhattan got into a fight with someone..?
Interesting reaction.

Absolutely. As a big DC fan I'm surprised you didn't know this. Not only is he more powerful than Silver Surfer, but he can make duplicates of himself that are just as powerful.
Plus you don't fuck with anybody that glows blue.

Alright, just to note, I had no idea "Watchmen" existed before the movie buzz so, I guess the n00b thing to say is that "Manhattan l00kz c00l3r d3n Batz".
I see what you're trying to do though MKF, and there's really not a lot of logic to it besides to say that everybody looks at "gods" differently, and so each interpretation doesn't need to be clashed together in a "who would win" scenario.
My guess though, just off surface information is that anyone who bends matter should be a pretty powerful being to begin with. Will, intent, and intellect would probably dictate what "wins" a vs situation between any of them.
Last thing is, Isn't this sort of familiar for DC? You know, the whole "god almighty, unequivocally over-powerful character" make-up?
This ain't new to DC is it?

lol, sorry man I'm a little puzzled with the "trying to do" part? I honestly read up more on Watchmen of late past few months honestly and just want to discuss him. I've heard of them prior but wasn't that familiar and figured I'd see what all the hype was around it. So I found out wow..nobody has powers but this guy Dr. Manhatten then I looked into his powers and was like wow...this guy is pretty damn powerful.
But honestly, my intent is just what I have stated to discuss his powers vs. other super powered comic book people
He is pretty much a God in his own right, then again so is Raiden lol.
I find it really cool though that he's a good guy.
@Rijo, oh yeah I forgot you're right I do follow DC a lot but mainly the Justice League characters more then anything else. But I'm getting more into the darker divisions and stories like V, Watchmen and Constantine etc.

It's possible that two people could take out Dr. Manhattan.
1) Franklin Richards. Because Franklin can apparently do anything he wants.
2) Captain America. Because Cap doesn't job to anybody.

Raiden is a god in the Druidic sense. Mortal, fallible, and the embodiment of an elemental energy (lightning, in this case.)

Actually the name is given to him by the government because it "sounds American."

Hmm, rather interesting. Damn spoilers lol. From what I read he's a good guy and not evil though? His bio anyway. Is there something I'm missing here?

There's mistake number one my friend, don't go on sites and read bio's then think you know Watchmen. (I'm not trying to be rude in any sense, but you should really just read the GN)

I'm not sure if you where being sarcastic but the typo really wasn't the reason for my post. I was just trying to point out how ridiculous the question was. If you learn about Watchmen and then come out of it with nothing but wondering how Dr.Manhattan's powers compare to other "Superhero's" then you obviously have completely missed the point. But then again I was unaware prior to that post, that you haven't even read Watchmen, so I do apologize and I can't really blame you for asking.
Ya, so I'm rambling now. Sorry MKFlegend
And BTW

Moral ambiguity is a big part of Watchmen. In a sense, every character is a good guy (Ozymandius wants to save humanity, Rorschach wants to clean-up society, etc.) and every character's a bad guy (Ozymandius kills a few million people, Rorschach kills criminals, regardless of their crime.)
Manhattan is (and I'm getting tired of saying this) God. He can see the past, present, and future, he has complete control over matter and energy, and he can be anywhere, at any time (even if he's in another place at the same time.) Yet, he's allowed the atrocities in Watchmen's story (which parallel real life events like Vietnam, the Cold War, political assassinations, etc.) to occur.
In simpler terms (just for you mkflegend):
Say there's a man sitting in the bleachers at a football game (or basketball or whatever.) He decides to go home before the game's over, only to see someone lining the exits with C4. Now, instead of warning everyone inside, the man leaves. Later that night, he sees on the news that 80 people were killed in the explosion.
That's the essence of Manhattan's character.
And, to me, that makes him 'evil.'
Oh concerning the God thing...ehh God=God lol. Some differences I grant you though obviously.
Since you don't seem to know what it means, can you define the word 'god' for me?
As a person who enjoys X-Men material, I must admit my skepticism on Phoenix be less powerful than...anyone.
Also, when comparing this person to anyone else, you must acknowledge all of her, which include Phoenix (Jean Grey), The Phoenix (inner-blocked personality), Dark Phoenix (The Phoenix while possessing Jean Grey's body), and Phoenix Force (The Phoenix in her true/ greatest form).
When comes down to it, it's not worth it comparing Phoenix to anyone. She's pretty much in her very own category.

Onslaught, Galactus, Apocalypse, and possibly Annihilus and Thanos(with infinity cubes) are more powerful than Pheonix
