At any rate, this image looks like a Rage mode thing. Although I think some talking preceded this picture, somebodies explaining something about rage mode to the other one.

Side note: Interesting seeing these two characters in a scene together anyway, never really happens.

It looks like Scorpion remembered the good part of himself, and is going to merge with Liu Kang and the good MK characters against the DC side.

The vibe I get from this is like, alot of the other warriors are in kombat, and after being beaten by Supes Scorp is in a slump, Liu comes for him and is all like
"Scorpion, PLEAS! We need your help in this"

Cool, a Liu Kang/Scorpion confrontation. I don't think there ever was one yet.

What little Boon has said on the story that I can recall from an interview *I believe from Leipzig* is that the merger is caused by Raiden and Superman doing something *whether it was the same thing, or just something powerful, I can't recall* at basically the same location in between the dimensional barrier, forcing them to merge. Not 100% on that, so don't rip my head off if I'm wrong...
