the female characters, in all fairness, are quite bland compared to the males (mainly because they all wear the same outfits in different colours).

On a serious note; Sonya is pretty much the reason I love MK, no exaggeration. There's many aspects of the game and story I've fallen in love with, but a game with no Sonya is like a subpar MK knock-off. I barely enjoyed Deception for this reason. I just love seeing hot babes busting everyone's ass, and the fact that Sonya is THE SHIT enough to whoop not only other females, but guys and fucking monsters twice her size and four times as bloodthirsty... there's just no words to describe how awesome she is. She's just IT, and she looks best doing her thing out of the entire cast.


The first MK game I ever played was actually MK2, with no Sonya. I loved Cage, but I always tend to have female characters top my favorites list just 'cuz I think a bad-ass chick kicking ass is more interesting to see. Thing is, I found Kitana and Mileena extremely bland. I was never a fan of the palette-swap thing, and these were basically just two chicks in bathing suits. I was kinda pissed that the (for me, at the time) the only girls in Mortal Kombat were so bleh. This kind of changed when I found out Mileena's dirty little secret (she became much more interesting to me), so that was pretty good - Kitana just didn't do much for me, though, she was just "there".

Then I got my hands on MK3 and I exploded in my pants at Sonya. Hot ass blond in tight clothing, showing off her ever tighter bod, kicking people into the air, leg-grabbing suckas left and right. Kerri Hoskins was easily many times more alluring than any of the other females. I was in love with that chick within minutes of playing.

The rest is history. I would always look forward to seeing my Sonya back in action next installment, regardless of what new changes were being implemented gameplay-wise. Above all, I just really wanted to see her back rockin' MK! It's pretty romantic, I know.

So if I had to pick a second favorite, definitely Mileena for her uniqueness. I also like Tanya for being the quintessential embodiment of a bitch. Sindel's goth/witch thing also hits the right keys with me. The other girls, I can take or leave, none of them really wowed me much throughout the games. Absolutely no offense to Kitana fans (as I like them personally), but she would be my least favorite. She was just meh for me in earlier games, but in the latest games she's just been depicted in a way that turns me off; too "Princess Peach", too vulnerable. I gravitate toward the exact opposite in females (in and out of fiction ).

Sonya's been my favourite since MK1. Mileena is a close second with Sindel, Tanya and Ashrah rounding off the top five.

Though the topic has been posted several times I still like to contribute.

1st- Kitana (classic female with the most impressing weapon: steel fans).
2nd- Li Mei (the best of the newly introduced females, especially her acrobatic special moves, I started liking her in MK:D with her costumes that looked the best on her, MK:DA alternate costume was not bad too).
3rd- Jade (made her mark in MK:D for me, she blends both speed and power in her gameplay).
4th- Nitara (first sexy vampire character with powerful and unique gameplay).

Sonya used to be one of my favorite if not my most favorite, but I think they ruined her really bad starting from MK:DA and the other females easily surpassed her. From then I lost complete interest in her. She made her come back a bit in MKvsDC.

The ones I extremely don't care about are: Kira, Sareena, Khameleon, and Tanya.

Why, The Princess of course.

Sonya and Frost. I like ladies with a fierce character. I am hoping for a Frost DLC as soon as possible!

Sonya Blade the baddest female character of all time. Jade comes second.

Favorite-Kitana: I have always been partial to bad guy characters for some reason, so when I first played MK2, I was young, so this was my reasoning, Kitana had a way better sounding name than Mileena, and Kitana looked much prettier in her select screen picture than Mileena. From that day Kitana has always been my favorite. Back to the bad guy thing, I was excited to see that Kitana was a bad guy, then I was really disappointed when she became good, but shes still my favorite, at least she was a bad guy for most of her life I guess.

2nd Favorite- Jade: Kitana's best friend of course.

The only other females I would say I care about are the original six. I shouldnt have to list them, but for the sake of the thread I will: Sonya, Kitana, Mileena, Jade, Sindel, Sheeva. I guess Tanya also, so I guess original seven. Frost, Li Mei, Nitara, Ashra, Kira - I could live without. I never played Mythologies so Im not familiar with the significance of Sareena, so I wont hate on her.

Second, I have three, Mileena, Sindel, and Kitana.

Mileena is the prime of the three, having been my no. 1 favorite female character since I first started playing MK all those years ago. I love her image, her style, her weapon, and most of all, BOOBIES! jk

Sindel to this day would make an amazing boss. She is a beautiful woman with a great purpose, and regardless of who she's aligned with, she'll always do her duty. Sindel is, no doubt, an ass kicker.

Kitana is, storywise, my favorite MK character, as I've posted in a previous thread I made. I strongly feel she is the true protagonist to the franchise and that the story really focuses around her and her realm.

Kitana plays the the largest role than ALL the females combined in Mortal Kombat. She has one of the most unique stories I've ever seen in any video game. I'm even gonna say that many of the MK females (Mileena, Jade, and Sindel), wouldn't be who they are, if it wasn't for the Princess.
