I noticed that briefly - Midway released an "Art of Midway" book. I haven't seen it on shelves, but it's online at Amazon.
However, I'd like to see / get an "Art of MK" or "MK over the Years" book. Something like this would be a real good collector's item and it would help them out as well financially.
I think it would include in depth information on all the characters, even the most obscure and even those who didn't make it. Concept art, sketches, final renders and ideas, How they came up with moves and fatalities for them, etc.
Realm ideas, story ideas, Plot details, original stories and endings, all that good stuff from the original MK all the way to past MKA.
What do you guys think?

I thought you needed a formal statement, like..."We the aforementioned, blah blah"
meh, I wouldn't know. I've never made a petition. good luck, dude.
To the Mortal Kombat Team at Midway Games - with the culmination of this era of Mortal Kombat coming to pass, we the aforementioned request that you put out a book detailing the world of Mortal Kombat in better detail. A reasonable comparison would be Street FIghter Eternal Challenge, a Japanese sourcebook that was released that gave information on the characters and world of the video game series, as well as behind the scenes information and ideas that never made the final products. It was a treat for fans of the series. And since Mortal Kombat is so expansive with the world that the creators have made, and since Mortal Kombat is such a profitable franchise, it would benefit all parties to have a book like this to commemorate Mortal Kombat's past and properly move forward with the future.
Try this -
