Can anyone see this happening? I mean, the MK3 style Kano. Kano has always been pictured as relatively short, whereas Austin is huge, but I think Austin would be able to depict the sadism Kano has.

I could see this happen but the trouble is that all of a sudden Kano gets a "Kano 3:16 says I just knifed your throat" line.

Actually, Austin's been pretty serious about his acting career in the few roles I've seen him in and not given anybody a stunner or used any wrestling catchphrases.
That said, Kano's Australian now and I doubt Steve can do an accent.

No,
if it where up to me Kano would be played by either, Jason Statham, Vinnie Jones,Matt Schulze or Sean Bean.

Him being serious about his acting career is exactly what would stop him from playing Kano in an MK movie.

Jason statham would be great but I cant see him as being the bad guy.

I guess it'd be fine?
The only thing I care about for a movie is that Terry Crews plays Jax

Granted it's still Austin, he's more typecast than Tony Cox.

I would like to see Statham try Kano, but really, Trevor Goddard was the first Kano I saw so it's kinda hard for me to picture anyone else.

Yeah, the man just brought this swagger to the character that wasn't there in the game. For some reason it actually worked and came off very well on film. I don't think anybody else would even try to play him that way.

Austin's not right for the role.

Mickey Rourke, no reason they cant just make him all kinds of bald in makeup. Hell he'd make a perfect Duke Nukem too based on his Sin City character. He'd make a good Kano.

Mickey Rourke as Duke Nukem = WINNING!
but I think the man perfect for the role of Kano is Jason Statham look at his MK1 pics and come back to me
