I like to do one of these well before each games' release. They turn out okay sometimes... and some of the stuff we put in here might influence the game by release. Never know.... Which is really cool because we can be a bunch of whiny a-holes from time to time. lol anyway...

1.) Pick a character... or more.

2a.) It looks like a reboot of MK1-3T right now so, what do you expect to happen to your character(s)' story?
2b.) If you wanna deny the little bit of evidence that is here, that points to a reboot, then what do you want to see from that character in a sequel type situation? (short versions please)

3.) What kind of moves//fatalities do you wanna see? Could be something old, or something you make up on the spot.

4.) Alternate Costume(s)?

5.) Extra stuff like stances, victory poses, and all that stuff.

============
---Here's Mine:
============

1.) Raiden

2a.) If I adopt the idea of a reboot as far as his story and character description, I'm hoping for the belligerent, carefree, sort of angry Raiden from MK1&2.

MK1 End 1
MK1 End 2
MK2 End 1
Mk2 End 2

2b.) If I deny the reboot concept....I'd want to at least know about what happened with the whole Dark Raiden thing. And why he's now seen fighting Kahn again. What happened to Zombie Kang's corpse, and how is he cleansed again...or his he?

3.) For moves, his stuff from MKvsDc was good, and I'd like to have that stuff back, but I'd really like to see something new please.

The other moves I'd like to see him have is that ground attack from the MKA intro vid (1:11sec), and petty much as many of his moves // behavior-isms from the MKD Intro as is possible.

The way they had him charge his lightning to where it surges up his arms like that looks cool. That throw he did on Quan Chi looks cool, the specific way they illustrated his teleport looks cool , that jumping roundhouse looks cool (sorta had it in MkvsDc, but I still like how it looks), his electric shield looks really cool....all that stuff.

-- In one fatality, make him do some cool Kung Fu mojo, lighting everywhere, then...*boom* (btw I like the MKDA primary fatality, there just needs to be more of a lighting show going on if they use it again)

-- In another type of fatality, they could use his staff. Have it appear from out of nothing into his hand. Then, have him throw it at the opponent... It turns into a big ass bolt like Captain Marvels move, then blows your head off!!...or something like that. Quick, affective, surprising, it's good!

-- Last one pays homage to his MK1 fatality. Have him zap the opponent a few times from far away, real smooth like with his fingers. Then have him teleport in close, and do that old fatality. Only this time, instead of just sending the bolt by itself inside the opponent through the collar, he like teleports all of him self in and....*boom!... shakes off all the blood and guts like in MKDA.*

4.) For alternate costume ideas I'd like something that looks like some of the fan art in that first post. Pretty much the same sorts of ideas are still good, I think. I didn't like Vincent Proce's Raiden btw. Didn't look good on paper.

5.) Stance from MK1-2 // MkvsDc is cool. It was, and still is the best to go with as a default. It's a power pose, and is very cinematic.
The other i'd like to see, is from off the side of the MK2 arcade cabinet would be really nice some kind of way. It's a power pose is why I like it, and because it's rare.

Now you go!

1. Nightwolf

2. Hopefully we get to see him act as the mediator amongst the remaining fighters. His home is supposed to stop the extermination squads, so that would be pretty cool to see

3. The hatchet! My favorite move in his arsenal. Make it possible to use it two or three times in combos like in MK3. Make that crazy light thing his fatality again.

4. Leather Jacket would be funny

5. Hope the MK team puts something there that takes a jab at Street Fighter's T.Hawk. Something like a victory quote, or something in his bio. It'd be great!

---------

1. Scorpion

2. We have to see him torch Noob.

3. Give him the hellfire kick as an Anti-Air. Using the spear has to be very punishable like always. Air throw is needed.

For a fatality he can launch his spear, yelling "Get the fuck over here!" Then he grabs the victim's arms and drop kicks his chest, ripping the arms off and sending Scorpion into the air. Scorpion dives straight through the victim's chest like he did in his MKD ending to Onaga. Then he summons the hand from hell to take the victim down. You can see creepy dead people trying to reach out at the victim while the hand is out. Now that is violence my friends.

4. MKDA alt is a must. Scorpion's flaming head is a memorable part of the series, why not make it a costume?

5. Give him his MK3 stance.

I expect The MK team to really try and stretch out each characters plot and spread over the timeline as much as they can. I would expect a Bio or some sort of flashback/relapse via "Story mode" to show a bit from Sektor's past. This would then dive into the Lin Kuei and his missions, then his automation and the events leading up to the damage being delivered to his being causing what he is now. I think he will be represented as somebody whod you would rather not run into. The ambition and motivation as both Lin Kuei and a Singular Cyborg should and I hope, Will be stressed and shown very strongly. We may even get a glimpse of what he was like when he was human. I dont want to hear a single word out of him the whole game once hes a cyborg. nothing but the mission. He has no reason to converse with anybody. Soulesness.

3.) What kind of moves//fatalities do you wanna see? Could be something old, or something you make up on the spot.

Moves:

Flamethrower- exactly like MKA's version. Perfect execution.
Pro-move- A bigger, more powerful and blue coloured flame comes out giving it a big Boost for a 2-hit or a 2nd attempt.
Tele-Cut-Classic underground rising uppercut setting up for a combo while opponent is in the air.
Pro-move-Double Tele-cut also setting up for an air combo.
Pro-move2-Telecut into a one handed choke, lifting them into the air with a few punches and one sending them flying down to the ground.
Pro-move3-Double tele-cut into the chokehold, punch and ending blow.
Missile-A missile with a mild homing mechanic, straight forward, I would like it to be equally as fast as the MK3 missiles.
Pro-move-Double missile like we seen in the trailer, giving a challange to simply jump over as one will be in the air aswell.
Air Kick- Not to rip off Kung Lao, but seeing as there is Jets on his back, a mid-air dash kick would not be hard to impliment.
Pro-move-The kick ends with an air grab similar to smokes MK3 over and down throw.
Pro-move2-Dash kick into tele-cut and allowing transition into its grabbing pro-move.
Dashing Leg Slide-Id love something similar to MKDC scorpion or batman. Preferably just a low slide Like scorpion. Using his jets on his back could bring the move to life.
Pro-move-Dissapear into the ground via binary code after the slide and come up with the telecut and its variations.
Ground Missile-Launch a missile into the ground via binery exit, coming up underneath them and blowing them into the air towards the player, setting up for a combo.
Pro-move-Double Ground Missile, the second coming up just a little bit closer to make contact in the air.
Pro-move2-2nd missile blast comes from chest, blowing them away if not preferred to be close.
Teleport regular- Same at the telecut but with no follow through, just a quick teleport via binery.
I know he'd be a powerhouse to most first impressions, but it diddnt look like hes going to have much emphasis on combos this time around so He has to compensate.
Fatalities

1-Flamethrower- I feel the close up of him doing this in the trailer is from his fatality, its straight forward and brutal. I would immagine he would do something after or before thats brutal. Maybe Crush their charred skull into the ground with a stomp & grind. Or set them on fire once, let them struggle to the ground on their back, he then steps on their chest and aims it right at their face, lets'er go and that pretty much ends it.

2-Im conflicted on this, I Do not want his mechanical crusher back. And a generic Missile is too simple. Maybe a Missile into the abdomen, imbeds in there and then explodes. this leavs the legs dead and the upper half gored and bloody, intestines hanging out and crawling. At this point id love to see his brute force and tough side opposed to technology, Id like to see him come in with a 2-step boot to the temple exploding the upper, closer half of their head. Id be satisfied with something like that.

(I still believe Cyrax will show up eventually so i saved the grinder fatality just for him Cyrax fans :P )

4.) Alternate Costume(s)?

1- Beating Arcade mode on hard or higher/Beating Sektor in story mode should unlock this first alternate costume. A more Sleek MKA(default) style Sektor with something pretty close to his original helmet for sure. He looks amazing but id love to have the option for classic Sektor.

2- This should ONLY be unlocked by beating Sektor's Kombo challange which is hoprefully still included. Id like it to have 20 moves and much harder this time around. This Costume I'd like to focus on a mid-automation Sektor. A semi-bloodied human with both oil and blood on whatever visable skin there is, Proto/inner helmet covering most of his face keeping that essence of mystery. Half of his chest still human and one arm fully human. The other arm should just be armor from elbow to fingers leaving the bycep a bloody mess. One leg should be completely robot and the other human form the knee down. it would have to look like hes been experiencing a huge amount of pain.

ThePredator151 Wrote:
5.) Extra stuff like stances, victory poses, and all that stuff.

Victory Pose1- Classic Sektor MK3 with one arm over chest.
Victory Pose2- Classic Cyrax MK3 with the "X" shape. Always wanted him to have that one.
Hara-Kiri- Self Destruct
Friendship-No
Animality-No
Extra- If Sektor wins a round against subzero, He should mimmick Sub-Zero's victory pose.

1) Scorpion

2a) I want to see the damn vow from MK2. I'm sick of people arguing whether or not it's canon, and it's one of the best parts of Scorp's backstory so it needs to be shown.

Scorpion goes after younger Subbie, realizes it's the wrong one, and goes basically "I killed your brother and I still can't rest, so maybe the right thing to do is actually atone for my sins. I will start by watching your back...but I'll also have my eye on you to make sure you never turn into an asshole like he was." And then it has to come back up later during the "MK3 part" of the story when Kahn summons Scorpion out of Hell and basically hires him to fight for him. He finds out Subbie's on the other side and suddenly has to make a choice: Stay with Kahn and never have to go back to Hell...or do the honorable thing and stick to my vow.

2b) He should take a step back and realize the way he behaved in Armageddon was idiotic. I have a lot of ideas how and why, but the short version is I want to see him stay Champion of the Elder Gods and do more as a hero with a rebellious loner attitude rather than a stupid villain who's so angry he just attacks everybody all the time for no good reason.

3) The Hellfire Kick needs to come back and stay forever. I was so mad it wasn't in MKvsDCU. Also, I hate the way they animate his teleport punch lately. It needs to be a JUMP punch, not sliding across the ground. I'd also like to see some moves where he whips and spins the spear around ropedart-style like he does in Shaolin Monks. I'm not so good at Fatality ideas, but I liked the giant lava hand from Trilogy and him turning into a giant scorpion in MK4. They need to update or make a more elaborate version of the Toasty if they're gonna bring it back though.

4) I definitely agree that he needs to have his flaming skull exposed again like in his DA alt.

5)
Intro Pose (If they have them, and I hope they do): A blast of fire shoots out of the ground and when it's done, he's standing there, as if Hell just spat him out.
Stance: One arm curled up behind his head like a scorpion's tail, his classic stance from the old games.
Round 2 Wake-Up: Using his spear as a grappling hook to pull himself to his feet like in Deception/Armageddon.
Win Pose: Spears the camera and pulls it in like usual, but then lifts his hands to his sides or does his MK3 win pose and summons fire all around himself. (Sorta like Subbie does with ice in MKvsDCU)

Well, mine is not gonna be as detailed as yours, Pred, but here are my thoughts :)

1) Sonya

2a.) First and foremost, I don't want it to be all about Kano. We've seen too much of that rivalry, and as iconic as it is, a reboot this late in the game calls for a lot of variety: events that will surprise us, and not beat a dead horse.

I want her to be drawn into the tournament through Kano, but through her pursuit of him, realize the bigger things that are at stake. As one of the "chosen" ones from the classic trio, she should have some sort of relevant influence in the outcome of the tournament; in other words, her actions should contribute to the greater scheme of the story, and not be completely wasted on continuously spouting "Where's Kano?" I want her to have other fights than against Kano. There are so many Outworld characters that could be matched up against her, either through the tournament or through her personal story in the game, that it would be lazy not to take advantage of it in order to flesh her out. Why not have her butt heads with Jade, as intended in the movie, or Mileena? Sonya hasn't seen a lot of catfights in her lifetime (unless you count Catwoman Kitana fight off Reptile's capturing squad later in the story? I never liked how she always seemed to get separated from everyone else in order to deal with her shit solely. And judging by past fights and especially her portrayal in MKDC, she can apparently take on the likes of Baraka and superhumans with no problem, so take advantage of her obvious skills.

Of course, she should whoop Kano's ass at some point, maybe send him cannon-balling off that skyscraper again. I always enjoyed that death. In simple words, her Kano story line should take a back seat and be more of a side story that parallels her involvement in the fight with the Outworld forces, a much bigger and more present threat.

2b.) If we're going with a sequel to Armageddon, I want to see Sonya lose a portion of her self-righteousness. I know if I'd gone through all of the personal, emotional losses she has endured, I would react in a lot more explosive ways than a "tough personality". She should realize that she's been actively defending a very fucked-up world that continuously takes from her. This should drive her to become sort of a "rogue" warrior in protection of her closer allies, believing death to follow her around. Of course, there would be a huge threat to take care of, so circumstances should push her into an unlikely alliance with a character who somewhat mirrors her new persona, say Sub-Zero. Such a story line would explore parts of Sonya that have remained hidden, perhaps nonexistent, due to her friendships with Jax, Cage, Liu, Cyrax, and Co, and as a huge fan, I'd love to see that come to fruition.

3.) My top priority is having her classic moves back: Leg Grab, Vertical Bicycle Kick, and Kiss of Death. Now that's just three moves, and I know damn well this game ain't gonna boil down to three moves each, which means there's plenty of room for new ones. I'd like them to get creative with Sonya's new moves. She's obviously extremely flexible, nimble and fast (anyone who can leg-grab a person and smash their head on concrete deserves such credit). Her new moves should be more cinematic and complex.

Instead of just having her pick up and throw someone, why not have her wrap her leg around the throat of a standing opponent, choke them for a second, then swing their big head to the ground? Why not have a flashy sequence of leaping elliptical kicks that can be chained into one another? Speaking of which, I'd love a few chain-a-ble, bone-breaking combos ala Tekken's Nina. I'm sure in her many years of military training, she's learned to snap a few.

Fatalities? Okay, so Sonya obviously has some kind of poisonous substance at her disposal that she can "kiss" opponents with. And apparently, even slight contact with it will blind you temporarily. So I wonder what would happen if she actually blew that poison straight into the opponent's insides. I see her walking up to the dazed opponent and bringing her parted lips just close enough to theirs that she can breathe the toxin down their throat. Then I see ruptured organs galore, blood spurting from the mouth, eyes, and nose, and a horrible, sickeningly satisfying death. Now who's gonna tell ME this isn't the most bad-ass Sonya Fatality ever?

Her second fatality should play up her nimbleness. I see her tackling her opponent to the ground and locking their vital limbs in some convoluted hold, and adding pressure until they slowly rip from the body. Dare I say that's how I would like to kick the bucket?

4.) Her primary costume should be based on her MKDC outfit, her best look yet. I'd love a variation of that one to make a return. Definitely stay away from the bulky MKDA one. The only thing I liked about it were the leather pants.

Her alternate should be more Earthrealm-y, less military. It's called an alternate for a reason, and it shouldn't mimic the same thing the primary accomplishes. Give Sonya a casual, albeit sexy Earth female getup. Ripped jeans, calf-length boots? Loose hair is definitely a must in her alternate. Longer than her MKDA hair, MUCH more sinuous and less "get-up-and-go".

5.) The salute has to return, it's become a trademark of hers. Whatever her victory poses are in the new game, I do think they should be more feminine, not so "all-business". Something simple like a hand on her hip instead of a limp arm would add that nicely. She should glare more, look angrier, lose all that predictable formality. Spicier.

Button link combos:
i think all the characters should have a good list of combos including two 6 - 7 hit massive combos that end in corner blasters i.e. spin kicks, Jax's overhead hammerfist from MK3. they should all have kick combos that end in corner blasters, pop ups or stuns. they should all have a number of smaller combos that either end in pop ups, or corner blasters, stuns or serve some purpose in juggles. but i personally dont like random small combos that dont serve any purpose other than to just get in a few hits.

Juggle combos:
they should all have the ability to do original juggles, not just 3 hit pop up to projectile or teleport etc etc. you know what im saying if you played MK Vs DC.

corner combos should make a return as well as counter combos like high punching someone out of a jump kick then going into a massive damage juggle.

other than that im just worried about how the button link combos look. MK3/UMK3/MKT had mostly cool looking combos but alot of the combos from the 3D MKs looked kinda stale.

and the run button should make a return.

brutalities should also make a return.

as an after thought, the throws should be strategically usefull, like setting up the victim for something, countering attacks(reversal) or ending combos.even throwing someone into a stage fatality after they have been defeated (and not before). but a particular characters throws should be strategically useful to him in an individual way i.e. not everyone gets an air throw, reversal, combo starter/finisher etc. let it be something that helps define the character.

Cyborg

1) Cyrax

2a.) I expect to find out possibly what he had done previously to becoming a cyborg. Then of course, there's him and Sektor becoming cyborgs. After that could come him and Sektor tracking down Sub-Zero and Smoke, successfully capturing Smoke and bringing him back to get automated. Then the eventual search for Sub-Zero and where he gets lost and trapped in the desert or wherever they decide to have him, setting up the MK4/Gold plot of him being found and rescued by the Special Forces. This is the basic stuff we know, so I would love to see these events in cutscenes, but would be even happier to see anything else he may have been a part of during the MK1-MK3 time period.

2b.) Just basically what happens to him after Armageddon. He hadn't really been a super important character leading up to the event, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was one to get the kill switch, but I am still interested in seeing how he went out and if he had accomplished anything before hand.

3.) Cyrax's moves leave a little more to be desired if you ask me. He's my favorite character, yet I usually opt to play as othe rpeople with better and visually appealing attacks. That's not to say he has nothing good, but a couple new additions wouldn't hurt. Here's what I feel he should have:

Net
-This is a classic attack setup that's perfect for him. Few characters have an attack like this that gives them a free hit or combo setup, and I think this one should stay. Though I would really like it if the net was designes in a better way. A bright green thick squared net just looks way too cartoony IMO. I would go with either just black or maybe a darker less vibrant shade of green. Also, the net should actually surround the opponent better rather than be just an oval with them inside. Maybe to make it more practical they could have a cord attached to it to pull the opponent closer. Either way, just find a better way to use it, but definitely keep it regardless, as it's a trademark of his.

Bombs
-The Far and close bombs should be replaced by 1 button imput instead of 2. If you want a close bomb, when putting in the imput you will just press the last button normally. When you want to shoot a far bomb, you will hold down the last button for a second and release. I think this would be a nice effecient way to do this. It's less confusing and it means 1 less button imput to have to think about. If not, oh well, it's not a big deal.

Teleport
-His teleport is decent, but I would like it to happen just a tad bit sooner. Compared to Raiden's his takes a lot longer, or at least it feels that way. So in order for his teleport to be a bit more effective, I say speed it up just a tad. Also, change the botton imput to something a little faster to do. Raiden's is down up, so Cyrax's should either be the same or something equally as fast to pull off.

Kicks
-These were kinda neat kicks that he does. So I guess I will keep these, but I am iffy on them. Maybe in 2D they will look better.

Saw Projectile(New)
-Instead of having his saw blade attack from MK:DA, I would like to see simply a saw projectile. It would just look better in battle IMO rather than having a giant metal beam coming out holding a saw.

Gas Bomb(New)
-This would be a bomb that instead of just a small explosion it would set off a little cloud of gas. It would be about the size of Sonya's kiss of death but it would be shooting up instead of out. If the opponent is in that cloud when it goes off or walks through it in the 3 seconds it lasts for they will start choking for 3 seconds giving Cyrax an opportunity for another attack.

Moltov Bomb(New)
-This would be a bomb that upon explosion it sets a little puddle of fire a few feet wide. If the opponent is standing on it or jumps in it while still lit he will be burned and stumble back, sorta like Scorpion's Hell Fire.

I would like these new ones, simply because Cyrax is a cyborg, and a cyborg in order to be unique from the humans, should have most of his attacks come from his compartment in his chest. This also gives a sort of surprise factor in that anything could be coming out of there so you have to pay attention when facing him. Also I would like to make a note that all of his bombs should look the same, another sort of surprise factor. Or they could have a little part that's colored or flashing a certain color that indicates which kind it is, but only if it's subtle enough that it forces the other player to turn his attention to it for a sec. to check. I would also like the size of the spikey ball toned down a little bit. They look too big and bulbous, when they should look slick and deadly. Sort of like the end of a mace. A slightly smaller ball, with little spikes instead of huge ones.

Fatality 1:
Cyrax shoots a bomb from his chest at a high rate of speed and it embeds into his opponent's chest. Right after the first one comes out 2 more fall to the ground at their feet. They immedietely turn towards the camera and crumble to their knees. As they are looking down at it and feeling it, Cyrax uses his arm panel and sets off the bombs, The first is the gas one which makes them choke, followed up by the moltov which lights the cloud and the opponent on fire, and finally the 3rd, which explodes sending limbs, flesh, guts, and blood all over.

Fatality 2:
Cyrax shoot's his saw projectile from his chest, which flies across the screen, appearing that nothing has happened, his opponent looks confused, until seconds later their torso slides off their lower half in a slant, and then their legs crumble.

Fatality 3:
This one is a remade version of his MK:DA Fatality, with a slight alteration. Cyrax shoots out a cord from his chest that wraps around his opponent's neck. It slowly pulls them towards his chest. As this is going on you can hear the sound of a grinder. His opponent is screaming in terror and fear as they are being pulled in and innevitably their head gets sucked in first and their body follows suit. Cyrax then spits a red mush with bits and pieces of bones etc. out of his chest.

4.) For alternate costumes, which are honestly hard to come up with since there's not a whole lot of options, I would like a suit that looks more like his classic suit, as in that suit but in 3D and new details and whatnot. As for a 3rd costume, I can't really think of anything besides him without a mask or certain armor parts, but I'd hope the MK Team could come up with something better. A Cyrax decked out with awesome weapons and cyborg badassery would be cool, but I can't think of exactly how to approach it.

5.) I really like his MK3 stance where it looks like he's playing with his dreadlocks/cords heh, mostly because it's unique from anything else the others have. So I say keep it. As for the Victory Pose I would keep that the same as well but maybe just add some cool flare. Cyrax just seems like the least serious out of the 3 cyborgs, so it'd be nice to give him some flare once in a while. Not nearly to the extent of Johnny Cage, but just not so serious. Sektor is the hardcore elitest that gets shit done and Smoke is more towards the neutral side but still serious, whereas Cyrax just doesn't seem like that. So I'd incorperate some of that in there some where.

Amazing for Cyrax. I like the projectile/Teleport ideas. Immagine if the ent, even if blocked, remained on the arms for the remainder of the round?

and to Razor. I love the idea about Scorpions Tele-punch, ive been demanding the classic flying punch for so long. I feel tehy should keep this one aswell from MKDC. If you press DB3 we get the MKDC version with the pro move option. If we press DB+2, we get the flying version, but IF we make contact, leave to pro-move option to teleport into the MKDC uppercut after to set up for a longer combo.

GREAT IDEAS guys. Keep'em coming! Im loving this thread.

Thanks man. I enjoyed your stuff for Sektor as well, I didn't read until after I did mine so I could have completely original ideas from my own head first.

I feel as if Cyrax plays second fiddle, but he shouldn't have to. Not because Sektor and Smoke aren't awesome, but simply because Cyrax never seems to get any real oomph so to speak when it comes to his moves and whatnot. It's as if they do all the other characters, and then when they get to Cyrax they just run out of ideas.

IMO the moves I gave him would definitely make him more fun to play as, as the variety of bombs give him a bit of mystery and he could be like a jack of all trades so to speak, and the Saw projectile is necessary because he doesn't really have a good projectile to begin with.

I also really like the Fatality ideas I came up with, simply because they are really brutal and gruesome. Cyrax had one of the best Fatalities to date IMO, with his grinder one from MK:DA, and I would just like to keep that momentum going and give him some other really awesome ones. Far too often in games one Fatality will outshine the other, so you essentially use that one Fatality the majority of the time, so I tried to think of 3 Fatalities that I personally would use all the time, because they are all equally visually appealing, as well as gruesome.

And I would like to add to the story after Armageddon that I would like to see. As a cyrax fan, I understand that he'd most likely die since he is one of the better characters in the bunch, but he's not in the group of guys that I think would make it passed Armageddon. Here's my best case scenarios:

If he were to live, I would want him to ultimately rise to the occasion and defeat Sektor in a long fought battle after giving everything he had.

But with that unlikely...

If he were to die, there's 3 different ways I would like to see it played out:

1.) Cyrax saves Sonya or Jax, possibly both. He does this in a sacrificial way as he takes the bullet for one of them so to speak. It'd be like a "Thank you" for giving him a second chance and allowing him to be free once again type of deal. So he would die for the sake of saving their life, and then of course whoever killed him would be killed by one of them. So it'd probably be just a random character but one that could use the achievement of killing Cyrax. Possibly Movado or something.

2.) Cyrax is attacked by Sektor's Tekunin army and he fights off the majority of them in a heroic bout, but ultimately is beaten when Sektor himself steps in and finishes the job.

3.) Cyrax squares off against Sektor. They both fight in an epic battle to the brink of death. It gets to the point where Cyrax knows he is done for, and in a heroic move he self destructs taking both of them out.

As a Cyrax fan, I think these are the 3 ideal ways for him to die, but still remain relevant and important. But whether or not they would give him that much importance or attention is another story. lol

With the state of his humanity around the MKDA era, im sure it will be a mix of all that should he go out. Him and Sektor are Due for one last showdown, no doubt. With Sonya and Jax after the Tekunin, it could very well be a battle with them that leads him to save sonya or Jax and sacrifice himself. I feel that itd be th best route to give his character some full round closure. He attained his humanity back to the point where he valued anothers life above his own. Perfect ending.

Sektor on the other hand, Should and has the ability to take out a big character before he dies. Whether thats cyrax or perhaps Frost to get to subzero's mentality therefore affecting his effectiveness in their hyped and forshadowed final fight.

I honestly Feel Sektor should die by SubZero's hand, not get owned, but have a great and close battle. I could see Subby pleading for Sektors humanity to come back and beg him to overcome it, but the effort should be followed in silence moments before an emotional subzero's final blow.

Epic.... id have complete closure at that point as a Sektor fan and I'd applaud his exit

I agree that Sub should be the one to kill Sektor, I was just speaking as a Cyrax fan, my ideal ways for him to go out. You actually gave me a great idea for Smoke's story.

Instead of Sub trying to get Sektor to look deep down and revert to his human side, I think it would be much more fitting to see him use that tactic on Smoke. Sektor should be a heartless cold blooded killer, to the point where Sub realizes it's no use trying to reason with him. However in the case of Smoke, Sub could fight Smoke and he tries getting Smoke to search deep down and realize what great friends they once were. He could keep doing that and refuse to kill him throughout the battle. Finally, he could just turn his back and walk away refusing to do the job. Meanwhile Smoke could use this to his advantage and try and kill Sub Zero only for Scorpion to finish Smoke off before hand. Something to that effect would be pretty decent. That or you could change Smoke with Noob and it would still work.

You know, That actually really makes more sense for Smoke. I diddn't even think of that. I agree Sektor should say nothing and be completely ruthless and cold until the end despite the urge to hear his concience.

Id like to just point out I edited My first post, added moves and pro-moves for whoever cares.

1.) Jade

2a.) I would like her to have an ambiguous characterization again. I want someone who's never played the series or has forgotten about her to wonder: "Is she good or evil? What's her deal?" Or, in place of that, show her having a crisis of conscience of sorts. Not a "BAWWWW! What'm I gon do?!" situation, obviously, but have her show that her loyalty to Kahn has the potential to waver. A few disagreements with fellow minions, and a look of dissatisfaction or two can accomplish that.

3.) I would like her razorang throws to once again have some degree of control and added fluidity. It really wasn't a decent projectile in the latest incarnations, being extremely slow and clunky. Make the razorang a projectile to be feared, like it was in UMK3. Will it go straight, up, down, make a return out of left field? The projectile is essentially like a boomerang, it should feel like the player has some degree of "toying" potential and flexibility.

Her Dodging Shadows ability is her trademark and should rightfully be retained, but the green glowing and white flashing have got to go. It looks way too...cartoony, if you will. I'd like to see her go semi-transparent while under that effect. It would add to the ninja/stealth feel, while at the same time giving that magically-attuned quality that many of us have come to associate with Edenians.

The Vanishing Winds teleport was an awesome and much-needed addition for her. Very cloak-and-dagger and befitting of someone who's supposed be the part of Sindel's stealth ops. The green smoke can stay, but I'd change exactly how she teleports. It's probably just me, but that whole twirly Barbara Eden-like pose seems like it suits Kitana more than Jade.

Her Blazing Nitro Kick move needs to be either heavily modified or removed. It shouldn't resemble Cage's Shadow Kick at all. I'd be in favor of giving her a new move or two here.

Fatalities. They want to make this as disturbing as possible? Sodomy writ large. I'd like for Jade to take her staff and shove it vertically up her opponents ass/taint/netherregions/whathaveyou and hold them up on display as a human popsicle. Can you imagine that with the anatomical close ups like they did with Cage and Sub-Zero? For her second one, I'd like to see something that involves her razorangs. Since we possibly know both of Lao's fatalities already...perhaps she can utilize her returning razorang to decapitate her opponent, then cut off their torso, like Lao in MK3.

4.) I'd like for her to have an entirely new outfit for a primary. I liked the amazon woman warrior look they gave her in Deception. It was an interesting, workable, and visually appealing concept. However, I felt as though it strayed from Jade's original intent: to be the most stealthy and ninja-like of all the female characters.

I'd suggest that her new attire be skin-tight, but tasteful. No dangly jewelry, either. While it complemented the amazon look, it would be absolutely out of place on a stealthy character. I'd be in favor of her outfit having a few well-placed sewn-in emeralds, but that's about it. I'd also like to see them incorporate a bit (only a bit) more black into her outfit, it complements green well and prevents her from being too monochromatic (like the gold and black served in Deception).

5.) I'd like her stance to be three things at once: aware, fluid, and NOT creepy or crouchy. She's stealthy and always ready to take swift action should danger leap from the shadows...she doesn't have back/posture problems. Furthermore, I'd like her staff to be visibly attached on her back as she fights. The black staff from MK:SM would fit the bill, and her utilization of it should be more deft and swift than in previous installments.

Though this is a cut and paste from Soul Calibur (I think?), I'd like to see her drop from the sky/roof, land on bended knee, then arise in her fighting pose. I would have suggested a fade-in from her semi-transparent state, but Reptile seems to have something like that already.

Her tag out animation? I could see her quickly curling herself around her staff horizontally to make a U-turn into the background and backflipping out of the picture.

Hm....anything I'm missing? Nope, that's it.

1.) Pick a character... or more.

1. Reptile.

2a.) It looks like a reboot of MK1-3T right now so, what do you expect to happen to your character(s)' story?
2b.) If you wanna deny the little bit of evidence that is here, that points to a reboot, then what do you want to see from that character in a sequel type situation? (short versions please)

2a. Reptile has escaped his bonds from the Spike Pit on a quest to
find out who he really is.
2b. MK9 is the aftermath of Armageddon...the fallout as it were..some things were reset to preserve realm integrity.

Reptile looks like he did in Armageddon/MK4, with a new outfit.
I'd think he's searching for answers about other Zaterrans
post-Armageddon he will have his old memories and things aren't how he remembers them to be.

3.) What kind of moves//fatalities do you wanna see? Could be something old, or something you make up on the spot.

I want the force ball back. Everything else looked alright.
Fatalities: his MK4 face eat one...updated...plays on his totaly primal animalistic side and he rips apart his enemies and gorges on their meat

4.) Alternate Costume(s)?
A ripped up, thrown together version of the MK1 Ninjas.
I like the idea of Reptile once being held in a spike pit and fighting everyone..take that to the next level and that's how he survived..by eating who he killed..torn up ninja outfit would be really great.

5.) Extra stuff like stances, victory poses, and all that stuff.
he needs to be quick, feral, and sneaky.
I hope a lot of his strikes are clawed scratches, and some Snake style striking pokes and chops..

1.) Noob Saibot

2. If they retell the story of MK 1-3 , I want to see a focus on the time immediately following his death in the first tournament, and his transformation into becoming Noob Saibot. I personally would like to see the story play out , that following his death he ends up in the neatherrealm where he is tortured by Shinnok for his betrayal, to the point that he loses all sense of humanity, nearly forgetting his past and going from a tortured soul in training, to the leader of the Brotherhood of Shadow. I also want to see more focus on his relationship with smoke. Finally a heavy focus on the 3 way conflict between Sub-Zero II and Scorpion.

3.) For moves, he needs almost completely reworked. No more Ninja stuff. I want his presence to be more of that of a Grim Reaper style character, stalking in the shadows, and a ominous presence that once he arrives, your only choice is to run because he will kill you. You can fight him to slow him down, but he will never stop coming, he is a wraith. His fighting style would be very relaxed, almost as if he doesn't need to put his guard up as he knows what your are going to do already. His strikes would hard and deliberate , and flow as if he was toying with you.

-Shadow Throw : Similar to his move in MK Trilogy, he sends a shadowy human from his chest towards the opponent, but instead of running, its more of someone leaping forward , almost diving towards the opponent, while the command ends in three ways depend on the button pressed.

A. The figure flys forward and grabs the opponent, and throws him back, like the original move. This move is unblockable

B. The Shadow lands low, sliding through and popping the opponent up in the air, this can be block low, or jumped to avoid

C. Shadow fly forward, but simply hits the opponent for knocking them down, this move can be blocked high.

This move keeps the opponent guessing

- Shadow Portal

Noob shoots a black shadowy projectile at the opponents feet ( ala floor freeze) , causing a portal at the floor where the opponent would fall through the floor, but then reappear from the sky above falling above Noob, where Noob could then uppercut the opponent. Move is unblockable like the floor freeze.

Shadow Teleport throw :

Basically the same as his Trilogy move

Scythe Slash :

Noob Pulls out a Scythe slashing the opponent into the air, similar to Johny Cage's Upper Cut kick, however this move would work from a distance, and would be used as Anti-Air.

Fatalities

-- Nightmare on Noob Street :

A black shadow portal appears below the victim, causing the victim to slowly be pulled in, we see shadowy hands pulling the victim down as they are screaming "no no no", once they are completely in the floor we hear one final scream, and then a giant geyser of blood shoots up from the floor raining down on Noob.

-- Army of Me

Noob Saibot stands in front of the victim as shadowy figures seem to be stepping out of Noob, as if he were cloning himself, before long they are duplicating themselves, until their are over a dozen shadow figure surrounding the victim. They suddenly attack the victim like a pack of wolves, and you hear the victim screaming as they are all huddled over the body which you can't quite see ....... you then see arms and legs and organs flying out of the crowd ....... the shadows all start to fade away revealing nothing more that ground up meat and bones.

-- Now you see me, now you don't

Noob vanishes into a shadowy smoke, leaving the victim confused ..... suddenly we see Noob's scythe appear out of the victims mouth, with the camera panning to show Noob behind the opponent, with the scythe sticking into the back of the victims head with the blade coming out of the mouth with noob still holding on, he then turns away and violently jerks the scythe over his head cause the head and spine to pop off the victims body still stuck the the scythe.

4.) His primary look is a modified version of his MK4 grim reaper attire. He wears black leather pants with black buckled boots, with a black cloak like vest that hangs down like a trench coat. The only skin you see his his arms that look almost grayish and decayed like that of a dead body. His head is covered in a large baggy black hood completely hiding his face.

His alternate attires would be similar to his Deception look wear he is covered in an all black suit with all black skin, only he would wear no ninja mask, but instead would simply have a slightly demonic face with a bald head and completely black (almost tar like ) skin, with glowing red eyes.

Other alternates could be his original MK 1 Subzero attire, but with solid black instead of blue, and his Armageddon attire with the bondage style suit.

5.) Stance would be more stoic like. His arms would be down at his sides with clench fists , and he would be standing slightly sideways, with his head almost look down. He walk would be a relaxed sort of leg over leg stroll, similar to the animation used when Scorpion and Subzero would walk in MK 1 and also kind of similar to how Freddy Kruger would walk with that sort of relaxed swagger.

Noob Saibot would not be just another ninja, he would be a ghost far more terrifying than scorpion ...... he would be death himself.

Sindel is mine.

Reboot: I would expect to see her return in her role as dark queen with a vengeance. Later in the game, as it goes into the MK3 portion of the story, I would expect to see her as the central character. This time around, for a story mode, I would expect to see Kitana involved a lot more in terms of rescuing her mother from Shao Kahn. Instead of making it all cut and dry and clean, there could be a scene where Sindel actually nearly kills her daughter or mortally wounds her. When Sindel is freed from the spell and sees what she has done to her daughter, it fuels her hatred for Kahn all the more. I would also actually like to see a scene where she is coronated as queen on earth. While the earth is slowly transforming into a part of Outworld, there is a coronation ceremony atop one of the Outworld buildings, with thousands of loyal denizens that have come from outworld just to partake in the festivities. This could even be a neat idea for an arena.

Moves: The scream of course would come back. Her hair whip needs to come back in place of that terrible throw she has been cursed with for the past 2 MK games. Her float also needs to come back, especially useful in a 2D game. I would also like to see some more magical powers come out of her, perhaps a move reminicent of Tsung's ground fireball move from MK3, with purple fireballs rising out of the ground as she raises her arms. I would also like to see a long distance sweep move using her hair that knocks an opponent to the ground.

Fatalities: The scream fatality would need to come back, followed by her kicking the skinless foe to the ground and levitating in a victory pose.

The next fatality I would like to see would be her using her hair. She would form her hair into multiple spikes that would impale the foe and lift him into the air. She would then look up at her foe and then use the hair that is impaled into her foe's body to proceed to rip the body apart.

Costumes: I wasn't a fan of the purple leotard. I would like to see something dark and regal on her, fitting for the queen of outworld. I would like to see her main outfit to be something along the lines of her alternate in MKD, but with more clothing. Robes instead of a thong (she's an evil queen, not an evil hooch). Along with the dark robes I would like to see a crown or tiara on her head, as well as shoulder and arm coverings with blades portruding from them. I would also like to see her fingernails either elongated or formed into razor blades. Her hair is wild and flows as if it is alive.
Her alternate could be what she looks like after she is rescued. She resumes her role as queen of Edenia, with regal white robes and maybe some armor plating on her arms and legs.

VIctory pose: I was always a fan of her MK3 victory pose, where she levitated in a pose as if she was saying "tada!". The one in MKD made her look overly evil, with claws outstretched, even though she wasn't evil anymore....
Anyways, I would like to see the MK3 pose return. Perhaps for her alternate, she could bow and then cross her arms and turn away looking down, as if still dealing with the guilt over the things she has done.

OK, let's see here...

ERMAC

Given a reboot, that would make him a bad guy again. In that case, I'd leave his story the way it is as I have no problems with it. If this isn't a reboot, I think that without Kenshi being in the game (likely) and Liu Kang already having too many characters involved in his story, I think Ermac should kind of become a wild card, or at least fight for his own intentions, similar to Nightwolf.

Moves? I like his MKA moveset particularly, however, ditch the Mystic Float in favor of any of Kenshi's TK special moves, I really don't care. Ermac's fatalities should be the classic TK Slam we all know and love and the other one I feel should involve his axe in some way. Maybe have Ermac stake his axe into the ground and then TK throw his opponent into it. Another possibility would be one where Ermac telekinetically rips his opponent's limbs or head off, or maybe breaks their neck.

Alternate costume can be the same as the one from MKA. No issues there.

Stances? Well, I doubt they put styles in this game, but if they do, I've always preferred Hua Chuan on him over CLF. Axe style can stick around as well, I've always loved how awesome it looks.

1.Sub-Zero

2.Choosing A.

The way its looking right now, theres still much debate over what exactly is happening in the MK universe in terms of story. Subzero will be one of the characters to be hit the most with whatever plot changes are going on. I would immagine from the recycled MKDC mask that this is the unmasked and scarred brother. I wouldn't be surprised if people came to the conclusion that this would be the original in which became Noob Saibot. I beleive this will be covered in this game to clear all of this up.

Sub-Zero should be followed from the events of his brother's death, any despair or anger should be strongly represented in his characters actions. If any of his Journeys in MKSM were canon, I would expect them to be shed some light at one point or at least mentioned. I really think for the fairness of the character, smoke should heavely be stressed when it comes to Sub-Zero. What happens is sad And I would expect much to happen in terms of visual and theatrical action to make us feel for smoke. Cyrax and Sektor are not so much important here but Smoke was a friend. This is Mortal Kombat but people still do care.

One thing I absolutely want to remain as it is, asuming They are taking the same route with Scorpion for the MK1-3 era, is the vow. I do not want Sub-Zero gaining any knowledge of Scorpions vow. Keeping them as icons of power and importance in the eyes of one another is crucial this time around.

I would expect to see much more of the Lin Kuei this time around, with 2+ characters being 2+ major plot devices, You can expect to dive right into the storyline.

3.Moves
Subby is pretty much been the same and hes great. I wouldn't change too much.

Freeze-looks amazing from the trailer, instead of a singular ice ball, it looks much more fluent like a constant stream of cryo energy.
Pro-move- A secondary Ice ball to be launched right after initial attempt, could fool an unexpecting opponent. But could also back fire if the first one hits renderring You open for attack. its a gamble.
Pro-move2-same thing but secondary ball to be fired into the air for jumping enemys.

Ice Bait-Id liek this to resemble the classic style of ice clone more. Have execution able to be performed during any part of an animation, jump, duck or move. I would ahve subzero remain as the clone like in MKDC and if hit, instead of Kori-Blading them, just jump in for a free combo on the other side.

Slide- This move is absolutely perfect in MKDC, I would bring it directly in form there with a little variation.
Pro-move-A back kick following the initial hit of the slide for a second attempt at blocking or hit players.
Pro-move2Teleport just like MKDC, absolutely amazing but it also had risks if doen too often. the prediction factor is brutal.

Ground freeze-I feel this should be brought back just as was in classic games for chaining combos together aswell as baiting opponents.
Pro-move-a teleport to follow the ground freeze to trap the opponent in between, a combo could then push them onto it and free another combo.

Teleport-Simple, a teleport where he dissapears into the ground and comes up on the otehr side. He should go straight down this time. MKDC was kind of a bad animation.

Fataities
I wont mess with these really, They are perfect.

1- Spine Rip, But add a battle cry on the end of it. Have the spine stop halfway out, and a secondary brutal rip gets'er out

2- MKD's freeze, head snap and throw to shatter the body.. perfect

4.Alternate Costumes.

I would love Subzero to have a revamped costume in a full-helmet shredder look just for the latter fans of the series. I am going to follow my same method of unlock as before. Defeat subzero in story mode or beat arcade with him to unlock. Have it a re-vamped shredder costume, maybe some chainmail mesh in there for pezazz. He has to look like hes been through enough BS and he knows what hes about to do. More vibrant blue and really reflective silver.

The second alternate costume I would liek to ahve back is the unmasked MK3 version or the "John Turco" version. It would be great to see this costume come back with a revamp. The scar and themuscle. Have the arms turning just a bit blue form the hand up. This costume should only be unlocked after completing subzero's Kombo challange which should contain 20 hard moves. This would ensure that only the most dedicated players will unlock his clearly best costume.

5.Extra

Victory pose-MKDC and MK3's one hand power fist.
Hara-Kiri- creates a small ice spike strip and falls on it impaling himself, dead.
Friendship-Snowman
Animality-no
If wins against Smoke- No victory pose. Shaked head in painful frustration and walks away.

It's nice to see everyone's ideas and thoughts. It's a shame more people aren't participating, though it's pretty neat that nobody has repeated a character yet. I love discussing and throwing out ideas for characters, but it's always disappointing afterwards because you realize these aren't actually gonna be in the game. lol Anyways, I am bored so I think I will do another character. Hmmm...who shall it be? I'll go with my second favorite:

1) Kano

2a) I would like to see Kano's story played out in detail and see all the cinematics showing off certain moments. His battles with Sonya are key, as well as his capture in MK2. Then his involvement in MK3 would be nice to know more details on.

2b) I think Kano has managed to slip by long enough, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the final nail in the coffin for Kano. Fans seem to be bored of him, even though he has missed a few of the games, but since his story never really developed any further than feuding with Sonya and the Red Dragon, he had grown stale in the eyes of many. So if he were to die this is how I would like it played out:

Kano ambushes Sonya in a cowardly fashion. After brutally beatng her down he is over powered by her courage and ultimately defeated. He always underestimated Sonya's will and heart, and it finally caught up with him. Moments before death he pleads for forgiveness, but Sonya has none of it and she kills him with a true Kiss of Death, ending their long storied feud once and for all. I would want Kano to be very ruthless with her, and when she finally overcomes him and kicks his ass, it has to be impactful, almost like you thought Kano was finally gonna end her, but her heart and will gave her the strength to beat him. Also, the final Kiss of Death should be a bit of a sweet goodbye, in a fashion that she hates him, but they have kinda kept each other relevant and on end all those years, so obviously there is a bit of irony and closure in it. The cowardly pleading he does isn't meant to be taken seriously, as he's obviously just doing what he does best, and that's scheming, but it plays into his humanity a little as well. Kano may be a cold blooded selfish thief/killer, but out of all the ruthless killers etc. in the game, Kano should have a little bit more humanity in him in that he doesn't WANT to die, he's not trying to complete a mission at any cost, so when his life is on the line he should beg for it.

I would also like to see him kill someone off before hand, but it's not necessary for his character, so if he doesn't I would be ok with that. Jax seems like the obvious choice, but for some reason I don't think that should happen. If either Jax or Sonya lost one another I think it would change one of them drastically, so I don't see that happening.

3) Kano has always had "ok" moves IMO. He isn't super fun to play as for me because I just don't really care for the cannonball, and that's his main move in most games. I understand why though, because he's just kind of a hard character to think of moves for. Regardless, I will do my best to spice him up a little.

Kano Ball
-Obviously this has to stay as it's been a trademark of his for far too long. I would think a neat way to mix it up though would be to allow the player to control the angle of his ball as he flies across the screen. Say the player holds down, Kano would curve towards their feet making it a low attack, and vice versa if they hold up.

Knife Throw
-I like this move so I am fine with it staying the way it is. Make sure the knife stays in the opponent because that's a neat little visual asthetic.

Eye Laser
-This move is another decent move that should stay. I also think this move's effects should change a bit. I would like it to make the opponent stumble or hold their eyes for a few seconds, so it can be used as more of a setup move rather than offensive/damage move. Then they could also take the damage down so it just hurts a little bit.

Knife Uppercut
-This was used in the older games and I think it should be brought back. Have it be a simple button imput like Back Back Triangle/Y. Have the move do more damage than your usual uppercut, and it could be a great up close offensive move, and a decent defensive move since the blade itself would reach out a little bit more.

Reflector Ball(New)
-This is where Kano jumps a little and does a quick Kano Ball in place, with the purpose being that his spin allows him to be unharmed and it reflects whatever was thrown at him.

I think these moves will help balance Kano out a little bit more. If you noticed, all of Kano's moves were pretty much strictly offensive, and for the most part projectiles, including his own body. This kinda made Kano 1 demensional when it comes to fighting, and makes his stretegy capabilities limited. So I decided he should get a setup move such as a Freeze or Spear, as well as a reflector move such as what Nightwolf has. I think this will play to his strength, but it's something he needed if you ask me. One of the things I liked most in MKvsDc is they gave all the characters a variety of moves to give them new possibilities, and I think Kano kinda got the shaft on that.

Fatality 1:
Kano takes his knife and makes a cut across his opponent's abdomen. He takes his opponent's intestines out and wraps it around their neck and starts walking off screen as they are being dragged and screaming, with a trail of blood just being left as they go.

Fatality 2:
Kano throws a knife into each one of his opponent's feet ala Kira in MK:D. They fall onto their back with the knives still in their feet, so their knees would be bent. Kano walks over, meanwhile they are trying to use their hands to pull themselves away but the knives are stopping them, and he stands over them and uses his laser eye for a few seconds going across their waistline. They keep trying to pull themselves away, in doing so their torso is seperated as they were essentially cut in half by the laser, and as they crawl their organs and intestines etc. fall out in a pool of blood, as this happens Kano yanks out one of the knives from their feet, and after they have crawled a few feet, Kano walks up and puts his foot on their chest and slits their throat.

Fatality 3:
Kano walks over and yanks his opponent's heart out, they looked shocked with their mouth wide open, then he proceeds to shove it in his opponent's mouth, and then they fall over.

The second Fatality sounds a bit elaborate, but I can't see it taking up any more time than say Kung Lao's Buzzsaw Fatality.

4) I would like to see Kano in his MK1/MK:DA alternate costume. The white with possibly black trim looks really neat. As for an alternate I would like to see something like his MK:DA primary. Obviously it shouldn't be the same, but something along those lines. As for a 3rd costume I would like to see his MK3 Black and Red outfit, but with something to distinguish it from his primary, maybe some different puches and strap etc.

5)
His entrance:
He should be sharpening his knives.

His Fighting Stance:
Have it be like his MKvsDC one. He should be alert at all times and constantly aggressive.

His Victory Pose:
Have him do the cut throat taunt with one of his knives, and throw in a laugh.

And that's Kano! Man these things take forever, and a lot of thought. lol I really think some of these additions etc. could really make him more enjoyable to play as. His Fatalities would be the most brutal and gruesome I think we've ever seen.

Wow, it seems as though I've made it a bit late to the party! That's alright, the character that I wanted to pick is still out there, so here we go!

1.) Pick a character... or more.

Shang Tsung

2a.) It looks like a reboot of MK1-3T right now so, what do you expect to happen to your character(s)' story?

If this is in fact a reboot, and that picture of what appears to be his throne room does in fact show him, then I think we'll get the opportunity to play out one of the coolest transitions for a character in the history of MK!

I think we'll get a chance to play as both old Shang Tsung and young Shang Tsung. That's my hope here anyways.

Maybe they'll just be costumes, and even if that's the case, I'm cool with it. I've ALWAYS wanted a chance to play as older Shang Tsung. Every fighting game has an old sage type of character and let's face it: Shujinko didn't exactly fill that quota for MK.

Of course the twist with MK would be that Shang Tsung is evil. So I think that it would be cool to play out that story with him. The epic battle that must've taken place between him and Liu Kang where he loses, this is obviously where you start with Shang Tsung.

He most likely got separated from Goro due to "the apparent death" line in the MK2 intro, but this time we might get to seem him having to limp back to Outworld, beaten and broken and having to beg at the feet of Shao Khan for another chance.

We then see his youth return and who knows? Maybe he gets some new moves and maybe he even fights and feels different as a younger version than the older version. It would be cool, but I doubt that happens.

I'm more intrigued by where his character goes from that point. He obviously doesn't kill Shao Khan and use his armies to unbalance the furies (are we ever going to find out what that means exactly!?) and bring an unending hord of soldiers in to Earthrealm.

So what does he actually do in MK2? Like I said, this is what I'm curious to find out. Does he have some sort of rivalry with anyone? Does he try to get revenge specifically against Liu Kang or perhaps Rayden? It would be nice to find where he fits in to the equation.

Of course, this is what I EXPECT to see happen in his story, so I'm going to expect that with his plan to get back in Khan's good graces successful, he'll then enact a plan to overthrow Khan. I think he'll try and utilize any and all allies at his disposal.

Perhaps with Khan preoccupied with questions of Kitana's allegiance, Shang Tsung will try to get to Mileena and turn her against Shao Khan? This didn't actually happen that we know of, but it would be an interesting twist.

Regardless, I'd say the real story from Shang Tsung comes from the underhanded, behind the scenes scheming. He's not the most powerful character like he was in MK1 so now he has to operate differently and I'd look forward to seeing that side come out more.

2b.) If you wanna deny the little bit of evidence that is here, that points to a reboot, then what do you want to see from that character in a sequel type situation? (short versions please)

The short version? I want him to replace Liu Kang as the Chosen One. I know that sounds weird, but he was born in Earthrealm, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

With Rayden losing Liu Kang, I want to see him go full on evil. Not in the moustache and black hat sort of way, but I want Rayden to be a zealot that believes that what he's doing is right. I want to see Rayden decide that Earth is too corrupted, to full of evil and that destroying it and remaking it is the only way to ensure its survival.

Standing in the way would be a host of unlikely characters. This wouldn't be the collection of good guys that we've seen in the past. Of course, this would be highlighted that the only character perceived to have enough power to prevent Earth's destruction is the one that tried to use the tournament before to conquer it.

I like this idea because it puts an inherently evil character in the role of Earth's last hope. How does Shang Tsung respond to this? Does he have any sort of link to his home world after all these years? I'm not saying turn him in to a good guy, but as a sort of anti-hero, he has a ton of potential in my mind.

3.) What kind of moves//fatalities do you wanna see? Could be something old, or something you make up on the spot.

a: Flaming Skulls: These are a must... 3 forward and 3 from the ground. These are standard Shang Tsung moves.

b: Soul Steal: Another classic Shang Tsung move. Only this time, I wouldn't have him steal health. That's another move listed below. I'd have him steal one of the other character's special moves. Now, for balancing issues, it would have to be the same move every time. Most likely a projectile. But I think it would be cool, especially if the announcer called out what the move was when it was stolen.

c: Morphing: Unlike in the past, I don't want to see Tsung morph in to characters IN the tournament. I want him to morph in to warriors that he's killed, each with their own small move set of maybe 3 special moves. I'd obviously cap this at 3 or so characters.

Obviously I know they'd never do this...

d: Body Switch: Just a small maneuver but I like that it's a bit disorienting.

e: Aging Throw: This wouldn't be his regular throw, but more of a "Gotcha Grab" type of move. He grabs the opponent and his hand glows green, the opponents face starts to age as their soul gets sucked from them. He then grabs their face and slams them to the ground before they turn back to normal. This could also allow him to gain a small amount of health back.

f: Incantation: I think it'd be cool to have a sort of wild card move. Shang Tsung gets on his knees and utters an incantation and perhaps one of three things could happen. Maybe the opponents controls are reversed, maybe the opponent can't hit you or maybe any damage dealt affects the opponent only, even if they're the ones doing the damage.

Of course, it might also be cool if there's a fourth option where Shang Tsung is actually affected and his magic backfires on him.

g: Neijin: The simple ability to power up his attacks and defense.

As you can see, I like the idea of making Shang Tsung a more "effect-based" character that's not so much about offense and defense, but about affecting his own abilities and that of the opponent, thus tilting the advantage in his favor.

I think that it would make him stand out a bit.

4.) Alternate Costume(s)?

I think that he should have four total costumes. I love the new look of his costume in the throne room stage, so that's one, but I'd also want his MK1 outfit with the blue robe, the gold shirt and the brown as well as the long moustache.

Then of course, I'd want two versions of him when he's young. Now I'm not a huge fan of the beanie hat, so I might take something that's more of a cross between his black and gold MK2 outfit and his MK:DA alt costume, again, sans beanie.

His last cosume would be much more basic. Black pants with a green sash at the waist. The pants would have a silver and gold dragon design and he'd have black wrist tape, but this would be more or less his fighting costume. Think of it as a sort of opposite yet similar look to Liu Kang in MK2. I think that it would also be cool if he had black tattoo designs on his chest and back, sort of magic looking symbols.

5.) Extra stuff like stances, victory poses, and all that stuff.

His stance, to me, is now Snake. This is how he should look in both young and old form.

His victory pose should be what it was in MK1 where he raises both hands to the sky, only this time, he would do it more slowly and creepily (almost snake-like) and green energy would flow from sky in to him. Not like Rayden's electricity, but something more subtle.

I'd also actually want him to say at some point "your soul is mine." I know it's from the movie, but that line is more or less attributable to him and I'd like to make it a part of his character in the game. So perhaps when he's doing that againg throw I was talking about, he says it.

So yeah, that's what I'd like to see!

1.) Shao Kahn

2a.) Well Shao Kahn as the big bad again, he's an Emperor from Outworld looking to conquer and destroy and so on..typical stuff.
2b.) I'm going to play Devil's Advocate, seeing as how the trailer opens with Kahn and Raiden just fighting, Kahn might be a normal kombatant...
Onaga as Emperor and Kahn trying to fight his way back to his throne.
It's farfetched I know, but I'd be all over the idea if it were true.

3.) His moves really depend if he is a boss or not. But of course he needs the shoulder charges, and some moves where he swings his hammer around with a lot of knockback.
Fatalities: Kahn pops his foe in the gut with the hammer, bringing them to their knees, then Kahn winds up and obliterates their head with a massive baseball swing.
Animality: That Hydra thing from Annihilation, just for laughs.

4.) Helmetless thornbrow from the comics, also wearing pants from the movies.

5.) His regular stance of being a an arrogant giant, his Armageddon stance was fine. He needs his taunts, laughter, and just classic hands on hips victory poses. if he doesn't have his vocalisations i'll probably cry. sad

tag team moves, tag team finishers tag team throws and tag team counters.

scopion and reptile as a team.

tag team fatal 1. scorpion takes of his mask and toastys the guy, then reptile joins in puking or spraying acid onto the already burning fighter. the flames burn the fighter while the acid melts away the flesh.

tag team fatal 2. scorpion spears the opponet through the chest and pulls the fighter towards him, then reptile leaps over scorpion and lands on the opponnets waist and decides to eat away at his face.

tag team move 1. scorpion teleports with a kick and reptile perfoms his dash on the falling fighter.

tag team move 2 scorpion perfoms his backflip kick and reptile performs his rolling ball attack on the falling fighter.

tag team throw 1. scorpion does his spear, then reptile performs his jumping back kick.

tag team throw 2. scorpion does his spear in the air while reptile smacks the fighter in the face with his tongue.

tag team counter 1. scorpion sweeps at a low punch while reptile perfoms a tail sweep doing a 2 hit counter.

tag team counter 2. reptile claws at a high kick while scorpion performs an uppercutt on his strained opponnet.

that's the type of stuff i want to see in co op mode.

arena's i'd like to see are the graveyard, soul chamber, scorpions lair, reptiles lair, and the portal.

fighters i'd like to see are quan chi, shinnok, cyrax, sareena added to the existing roster.

multi tiers and multiple death traps/stage fatalitys.

3-5 new moves for existing/returning characters.

5-6 good new fighters that don't play like crap. make 3 of them good and the other 3 evil. have 3 of the new fighters be female and the other 3 new fighters be male.

new ways to unlock things like attires, bios, arenas, moves, finishers, concepts, renders and etc.

have ladders return but maybe instead of having them go up have them going across.

support up to 4 players online and offline.

custom soundtrack for players that don't like the mk music.

counters, parrys, blocking, switching stances should make it in. but have the stances already built into the character instead of that crappy switching mechanic.

blood should drip, spray, ooze and etc depending on what happened during the fight.

the bone breaking stuff could be like a mid battle brutality that does not kill the other fighter but does good damage to the opponnet. it would be similar to the ultra combos found in super street fighter 4.

hope you enjoyed. i'll post more later today.

1.Scorpion

2. Going With 2A.

Scorpion, since the beginning of the current canon series of Mortal Kombat, has been thrown in and out of the blender in terms of what hes had to endure both emotionally, psychologically and physically. His very essence has become the sould of Mortal Kombat for good reason. I would expect with a Bio, we will get a glimpse into his life in the Shurai Ryu and his sheer dominance of, and dedication to the clan.

I would expect we would see or at least hear of the re-telling of the original conflict between Scorpion and Subzero before MK1. If I am not mistaken, it was Quan Chi's doing was it not? I would love to dive deepr into the exact events of what happened in detail. I really want the emotion to be put across into the player of how the death of Hanzo Hazashi came to be and how deeply his rage burns despite the fact that he once had a family.

I would like to see The vow to protect sub-zero return. As important as it is to see Scorpion remain a dark and evil-esque character, his humanity needs to come threw at certain points and this is one of them, should this go back into the DK story I would expand on his story greatly.

The only thing I think I might change is how he became allied in MK3. I feel it needs to be more of a forced or obligated entrance than free-will. Of coarse this evolves into him turning out once he decides to stick to his vow as he diddnt know subby was on the hitlist.

3.Moves
Scorpion is one character I would not change too much, but there are some things I need to demand.

Spear- Generic and straight forward spear attack. I feel that through the entire series, this attack has had 100% unrealistic and horrible recovery if missed or blocked. Moves such as freeze and forceball are almost immediately recovered form and scorpion is left open time after time.

Tele-punch-Classic DB1 flying punch teleport allowing side to side screen travel.
Pro-Move-ending the punch with a grab to go over the shoulder and then down, bouncing them in the air for a combo setup.
Pro-move2-after initial hit, scorpion dissapears in flames and appears doing the MKDC tele-uppercut, setting up for a combo.

Tele-uppercut-More of the MKDC enspired uppercut move with a teleport, dissapearing and being seemingly grounded for an attack which sets up for a combo.
pro-move-Classic MKDC double tele-uppercut

Hellfire- Simple, keep the hellfire from MKDC

Slide Kick- same as above.

Inner fire- Amazing move, keep it
pro-move- have a secondary burst of flames come from scorpiona swell as the ground like a big fire-filled explosion. a second opportunity to take out your opponent.

Fatalities

1-Toasty, gotta have toasty.

2- I would really like soemthing very gory. Having one fatality with flames is pretty much enough. I would liek to see his spear incorperated somehow with a neck slit and abdomen exposed and mutilated.

4.Alternate costumes

This is where scorpion really opens up for opportunities. Monster, classic ninja, MK3, Semi-armor MKD, mid-armor MKDA, MKDC.

I am going to say for the purpose of him being the best looking He can be, Go with MKvsDC for one costume. His mask made of Bones is iincredible and the armor is unbeatable. The arm plates and sash come together great with the pattern and the shoulder plates. I feel that the MK3/MKD should be the primary and MK vs DC should be his first alternate, unlocked by defeating Scorpion in story mode or beating arcade on hard or higher withs corpion.

Second alternate, I am going to go with the Primary MKDA look. I feel this shoudl only be unlocked after the kombo challange is complete. Hopefully its a list of 20 harder combos this time. after all are done, We get one of his best looking costumes ever.

5.Extras
Friendship-no
Brutality-yes, incorperate the spear
Hara-Kiri-Toasty himself. or stab himself in thef ace with his spear. keept it simple.
Vs Sub-zeroa frustrated victory pose as he did not want to fight subzero because of his oath, I guess it would be accepted as subby trying to fight him forcefully. in vs. mode, who cares?
