I was thinking the same thing, but after checking out the screen shots again it looks as though the respirator attaches from his chest strap to his neck.. (maybe it's a hole in his neck to live) which allows for the mask to be taken off.

would explain why the "respirator mask" is all decked out in spikes and steel bars... he's just hiding his face if this is the case.

after reviewing the video again his voice actually sounds as though he has one of those throat respirators.

He looks incredible. Badass moves and good fatality.
Love how he's more burned than ever before but the exposed face doesn't look that scarred. I need a better look at it but if it's not totally scarred, that sucks.

His voice is probably my favorite we've heard so far. Cage's would be second. Kabal's voice just sounds so damn cool without sounding forced or cheesy. "Lwt's see what your're made of." sounds so badass.

Kabal looks fantastic... Just watching the video he even feels like the old Kabal. The improvements are obvious and his moves and fatalities are impressive. I feel threatened already... lol

--Side note.. kinda pisses me off they've wrapped characters with awesome updates around Raidens completely normal out coming, *sigh*

Indeed, Kabal looks very cool. I'm glad he got the Ground Razor back, though it doesn't look as cool as in MK3.

I'll second that... yea. The original ones look more intimidating...more dangerous than these. Super small nit-pic though, he looks amazing.

I thought I was going to hate the coat like last time too but, no. Everything works very well. As someone else pointed out, he's got a huge Freddy Kruger vibe going. Makes him feel like a nightmare.

Finally some Kabal. Although not that much updated, I still like it a lot. It's going to be a joy again to play with him.
Hope his face is messed up too (didn't see it very well, saw the low quality youtube vid). The mask looks a lot cooler with all the details.
Although some of the cut'n slash fatality's begin to get boring, I like Kabals fatality.

Actually, I hope he has some of Flash's moves. Like the one where he comes in at the other side of the screen and start punching. And then you can do it again for the other side. But that's the only move I want him to "steal". Don't want that nomads touch move.

Soul Chamber looks great. Better than the other 3D versions. Also, do you hear how it sounds like you are really in a cave/hallway? Nice touch!

Finally! And I can definitely say that I have no complaints, they did an amazing job on Kabal! He's got all his (good) moves back, his voice is badass, and he looks like the fast character he should be.

His win pose is my favourite so far.

I look forward to crushing some shins online with his X-ray!

And his fatality is simple, but effective. Also considering I've read what his other fatality is I'm pretty satisfied.
