Mileena Retro DLC Revealed as Wal-Mart Exclusive!

Exclusive pre-order bonuses have gained yet another merchant as the massive global warehouse retailer Wal-Mart has joined the fray! A few days ago we revealed a high definition render of Jade's classic costume [full story], which has been confirmed as bonus DLC material for purchasing the rereleases of the Mortal Kombat movies on Blu-ray. Wal-Mart's exclusive DLC costume is now confirmed to be the deadly vixen Mileena! It remains to be seen if Mileena will use a color palette swap of Jade's costume, but it is highly assumed to be the case given the male ninja costumes. We will continue to look out for any official images in regards to this story.

Wal-Mart joins Gamestop (Scorpion), Best Buy (Sub-Zero) and Amazon (Reptile) [full story]as retailers offering exclusive costumes for pre-ordering with their company. Logic suggests Mileena's sister Kitana will also receive the same treatment, though the retailer who will offer this promotion remains a mystery for now.

I think you have the exclusives a little confused. Gamestop = Scorpion, Best Buy = Sub-Zero and Amazon = Reptile.

Frankly, I don't like the female ninja look for MK3, I like it slightly more for MK2 though, but neither particularly wowed me. I'll be passing on these because tbh, the female ninjas (with the exception of Jade and her MKD alt) have never looked better

If it's true to her origins, it'll be purple- not pink or magenta

(Though I always did prefer the alt-color magenta version in MKII)

I hope they have classic fatalities for the women, I have yet to read where they do. Some of their classics are controversial if they should be allowed though especially Mileena - nobody wants her suck em in and spit out their bones to return for sure. I'd say the best to work with if they did would be:

Kitana - MK2 Kiss but a lot more detail to make it more realistic with the body becoming inflated and not as big as they did in MK2 but show the veins protruding and pop one by one

Mileena - MK Gold version (not MK3 with her big gunlips) lol, of her nail spit - also controversial but for a classic it's the only one that could be realistic, since there really are female-picked weapons like that; and she of all people should handle some sharp extras in her mouth; maybe pull out an impaled eye and eat it like a olive on a toothpick for a simple seductive extra. Her sai stab's already in use with a regular throw/move and her MKD ones are too similar to what she already has.

Wish there was a way to change their hairstyle. They'd look astronomically better with long hair, whether coming from the bun or if completely loose.

Anyone else hoping that the classic skins won't be just for ninja characters?

I'd really love Sonya's and Sindel's MK3 costumes to be available. Sub-Zero's MK3 costume might be interesting too. Sexy even.

Crap.

I already placed my order and got it all set with Gamestop. I would have gladly supported this Mileena exclusive had I known about it before.

I'm still pissed off that Gamestop (the easiest and most convenient for me) was the one to get the Scorpion exclusive (ugh, it was obviously done on purpose 'cause I'm sure most people will order from that store and they just want to give stupid Scorpion the advantage).

I really had no choice but to get this one, but, he is the one I couldn't care less about. I'd had rather gotten the Reptile version ('cause Ermac is already included in the KE).

Anyway, I'm too lazy to cancel because I'm sure all these costumes will be available for DLC later on the road, but, I would have gotten this one for sure (or Jade had she been a store exclusive).

Can't wait to see the official picture. All those fan edits of the Jade costume are cool.

Yeah!!! That's bad marketing for us and the remaining hidden exclusive's company.

I just hope they don't take ANY UMK3 fatalities and make them the classics, that is (IF) the women get the same treatment, well at least change them and make them rather realistic.

Now I'm wandering if Skarlet will have a MK3-style costume also, as a perfect finishing touch lol. I'd also like to see Tanya with a yellow one as well when she becomes DLC :) if she does that is.

Nuh uh... Not if part of the conditions per store was to meet some kind of quota.
Gamestop>Amazon>Best Buy> Wal Mart > whatever other store.

Once they met the nation/world-wide quota for GameStop and or Amazon and or Best Buy, meeting Wal-Marts quota might be easier/lower. From the looks of it... no render out or anything to accompany the news, they might even be ahead of schedule somewhere.

They are doing it right. We might even get something extra if my theory is correct and they're ahead some kind of way.

Fuckin' Wal-Mart. Always cheaping out.
I would love to see Kitana and Mileena in their classic MK2 outfits, but given that this is the MK team and it's much easier to retexture a model than create a new one, I got a funny feeling that we're gonna see them in full UMK3 glory.
But if they look as good as Jade, it doesn't matter. Jade rocked that UMK3 look. And I HATE almost every costume in MK3/UMK3.
