The fact that this is a remake of MK 1-3 and technically he was involved in the story since he was Liu Kang and Kung Laos teacher makes me VERY worried that he will be in this game. He is without a doubt one of the WORST MK Characters ever with Hsu Hao and Mokap being the worst.

Bo Rai Cho was an excellent character. I would like to bring him to a completely serious plateau and ditch the vomiting and farting, but his story and design more than justify his presence in the series.

But I'll admit, there's many other post-mk4 characters I would prefer.

He sucks and hopefully he'll be killed in the intro animation of this game.

Lamest obese character ever. Other games have better fatties. I just don't get why they would make the two most important characters of the series have a teacher that is a Joke to the whole franchise. Its like they tried to mix Gen, E. Honda, and Shun Di and came up with this experiment gone wrong.

This is just my opinion on him. No offense to anyone who likes him.

Since this game is done in a more serious tone I think he would be perfect.
I mean come on he taught Lu kang and Kung Lao how to fight.Let him use drunken boxing and I think he would be great.

I'm actually a big Bo fan. I would defiantly love to see him back in a serious manner. Maybe for a special where he spits his wine to torch the opponent it could be implanted as a special move.

I'm glad you took the time to observe and acknowledge my sig and avatar. With that said, I appreciate the fact that you have keen sense for "shitty" things.

Bo was a great idea, the execution was just too silly and immature.

In another thread a week or two ago, someone suggested he should be more like Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and that sounded perfect to me.
I wouldnt have so much of a problem with Bo Rai Cho if they dropped the whole drunken, burping, farting part of him cause it was more embarrassing and not funny at all. Make him serious

In MKD he was more of a serious character due to having the style switch fart dropped from previous MKDA. Outside his Fatality's he was more serious IMHO.

I actually didn't mind Bo Rai Cho, wasn't a favorite but didn't mind him. I would like them to do away with the vomit and farting stuff... but I have no problem with him acting like a drunk, considering his style is drunken fist. The whole idea of a character like that is that they are not to appear serious or threatening, so their opponent under estimates them.

I agree with what Temp and Razors said.

If they don't change Bo up though, I really don't care to ever see him again. I found his humor to be more annoying and stupid, rather than funny.

You know, Bo Rai Cho is fine just don't make him into such a damn stereotype. Okay, so the first fat character of Mortal Kombat must fart all the time, always drink like a slob, and have moves that shake the ground or flatten the opponent like a pancake.

I understand that he's not as bad as SF4's Rufus (who is just plain offensive by the way), but not everything has to have comic relief..... seriously.

Well again, being a drunk is the whole core of the character. He's the inventor of Drunken Fist. That's his entire gimmick. He fights with drunken boxing and he trains people for Mortal Kombat.

It's just the farting and throwing up that need to go. Without the lowbrow crap, a totally out of shape, jolly guy who you'd underestimate but is really a wise and awesome teacher is a great character concept.

Seriously. The drunken master figure is an archetype of kung fu cinema, where MK has its original roots. He and Kenshi were the most natural-feeling additions to the cast in god knows how long. He's without question one of my favorite recent MK characters.

I don't want him in this new game as a character because I'd rather focus on MK1-3 as they were presented. But I'd love him to have a cameo role in story mode.

Everyone's said it; if he'd stop vomiting and farting everywhere, he'd be a great character - one of latter-day MK's best. As it stands, he has enormous potential, and is just limited by immaturity.

Everything you just said makes so much sense.Drunken boking in this game would be so sick.

I don't appreciate the character at all either. I think he's a terrible representation of drunken master style, obese people, mentor types, stereotypes, and anything else that he's supposed to be representing.

I think he's a wasted slot on the MK roster. I don't think he's redeemable, even having him come back serious one day.

Well.... let me take that back. If they brought him back more like the MKConquest character Master Cho, I'd be inclined to review my opinion of him. Yea, that character was actually pretty cool. The one in the game succz bawllz though. lol

I think alot of people mistook the farting and burping as comedy element, which is not, or at least should not be. Just because something isn't sanitary or clean and ice doesn't mean it hasn't got the right to live.

Thanks to all, Bo' Rai Cho takes to levels beyond that of the colored ninjas and half-assed goth wannabe females of MK.
