Was. Well...Shadow Priest is more of a junior mod rank, all you can do is hand out dragon or skull points. Which do nothing at all if you don't care about your rank. And people usually don't.

And yet, when you skull people, they tend to get whiny. They take it more as an insult than a warning to stop being so dumb. Go figure. So it's a sucky job.

Well, to be fair the simpler Kahn model could just as easily have been a place holder until the one from the trailer was fully finished and put into the game. I think people just got really rilled up over nothing. Still it's nice to see that this look has returned. He's got that very "I will break you" thing going.

Kahn looks waaay better now..looks meaner n more powerful. i just cant wait to see everones alt. eventully! hope there honestly as good as the defaults...

Thank goodness Kahn is back to his original trailer look. WAY better than the previous render, and it's nice to know that the MK team really is taking fan feedback into account. I still haven't heard them change the announcer in any video, however...

Just a quick question, though. Are these renders? I'm tired and blurry-eyed, but they look more like concept art to me. Nothing rings "computer generated image" in these pics, but I'm still impressed as I doubt these would be released now if they weren't the newest designs.

Not to be a total n00b (despite being here roundabouts for years) but how do you know if you've gotten skull points? >_>


As for the renders, Scorpion's is usual Scorpy goodness... But for mr Kahn, wow... hot...

Though to be honest, I don't see that many differences between it and the previous reference. I can (obviously) see the changes, like the amount of spikes, the kind of spikes, the loincloth, the way his helmet works...

But I still get the same guttural reaction from both... They're still both the exact same idea.... ah well

You can tell that you've gotten skull points when you see a skull icon at the bottom of your post.

This is one thing about this concept for a game I love, it brings Kahn back as the Big Boss. Onaga was okay, Blaze kinda sucked IMO. None of the bosses since Kahn have had the same level of intimidation and the same kind of "cool factor" to me.

Aren't they supposed to be putting out info on the characters which are talked about the most on their site? I'm pretty sure Scorpion and Kahn were at the bottom.

Anyway, Kahn looks impressive in this render. Really menacing and like a dominant ruthless warlord. I can't wait to see more.

True, Kahn does have a lot more presence. I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that he has like fifteen taunts and none of the other bosses talk.

Although, Onaga did get an incredible entrance. The Deception opening cinema probably still stands at the top of the mountain as the best FMV to date in an MK game.

Better renders isn't really releasing new info. It's the 6 buttons at the bottom of each character's page that the rankings are supposed to unlock.

And Scorpion and Sub-Zero already got their first four before the site was finished, so...there's that.

Ahhh, now Kahn is back to his old, hardcore self. This looks so much better. Funny how the little details can make such a big difference.

Couldn't care less about the Scorpion render though. I'd rather he got the "tiled" look from the Shadows trailer than the smooth golden one with those ridiculous black plastic flames. It just doesn't look good in my opinion.

But oh well, he's not the character I am going to play anyways, so it's not that much of a bother.

Onaga would whine "NO KICKING" if you low kicked him too much...but other than that you're right. It wasn't important or impactful like "I am Shao Kahn Bow To Me!" but it was damn funny.

There's the towering, demonic, all-powerful, hammer-wielding badass that slaughters armies, destroys souls, and has hot sex with undead banshees! That's the Kahn we all know and love! Wow, he looks great!

Damn! Gotta hand it to NRS, they really did a good job with this new Kahn design. Kudos guys!

Personally, I loved both designs.
The new one is a spin to Kahn's classic look. Definitely badass.

The old one (the one with the pants) looks more battle-ready and it has that "I-am-ready-to-kick-ass-and-conquer-worlds" ring to it. NRS can use this for Kahn's alternate costume.

The previous render never had pants. It was armor strapped to his thighs.

The king has returned! Now he looks more like the BOSS... the old render gave me the impression he was going to be playable, he just looked like a dude wearing a helmet.
