I think he looks pretty awesome. I like how his look is his iconic look and is sorta like MK:SM and MK:DA. At the same time, the sleeveless parts of his outfit are cool too imo.

Overall, another great render! Raiden looks sweet and I can't wait to see him in action.

I really don't understand why so many are digging that look or how exactly it humanizes him? Sleeveless and wearing stupid arm guards = more human?

For me, this is easily the worst design Raiden ever had. Heck, I'd take his MK1 look back if I had to choose.

Thinking too hard about it. Colors signify things. Certain garments also signify things. So..



This one does have more of a presence as a god, or as a member of some sort of royalty becuase of the golds, and other metals ect.. Large accenting outlines and so one make him more " " in affect. Which is the "presence" we're talking about.

So, to humanize that^^, you take some of those highlights away from him, show his skin a little bit, and give him softer accents. Makes him look more like a glorified hobo, than a God.

I like the "sleeper god" characters. Ones that don't look like they're very powerful, but actually do have a tremendous amount of power, and responsibility. So by humanizing him, for me = they made him better. "iMo".

I liked the design of the MKDA-A^^ costumes because it seemed like it was about time to do that at the time. Seemed like he needed to show "God" for a change. But right now, I appreciated them going back a little bit. Back closer to the sleeper god character of MK1-2, MK4, and MKSM.

In this new render, showing his physique is more than enough "power" in the image considering the pose he's doing. I asked for a power pose, and they gave it to me. Raiden fan.

Looks exactly like a....toned down MKDA-A Raiden, or an upgraded MKSM Raiden. Which pretty much equals what we have here.

I love his look. He is one of the few characters who stay with the same look in nearly every game.

He looks good, I never really make a fuss of Raiden before an MK game, then I get the game and he quickly becomes one of my faves... good stuff.

Something about this look makes me think of Raiden looking more "godly". I love the MKDA look, but I think even that was overboard.

This is the best Raiden ever, and good to see the last of dark Raiden.

Hello...Jack Burton has returned from a lengthy absence. It feels good to be back...and JACK!

First and foremost, I am a major Raiden fan. I've followed him since playing the very first game as a small child back in the early 1990's. He was my favorite from the beginning...

I have liked all of his incarnations in the various games that have come about. I've never really had any complaints about the way he looked or anything like that. The way he looks here for MK vs. DC is a welcome sight to me. I like it all! The cape...I'm kinda indifferent on that. He'd look just as good with or without it. Personally, I'm an advocate for the older version of his hat. Judging from the render, I can't really tell which one the MK team went with, but I'm thinking it may be the one they began using from MKDA to now, which is also fine too. As for presence, I preferred his booming, echoing vocals from MK4 and MKD. Also, I wouldn't mind if he actually resembled the 7 feet of height he's been claimed to stand at. From reading everyone else's posts, no one but me seems to like the Dark Raiden outfit from MKD, but I think it really did a lot for him on the intimidation scale, but hey...I like the traditional Raiden like everyone else!

I hope he comes packed with all the special moves that has made him the icon he is in the MK universe. I'm saying this because of the lack of his torpedo attack in the MKDA game...DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN, MK TEAM!!!

Dark Raiden was awesome. I never understood why he's so hated.

ditch the cape and it's great.

He looks good, nothing special..but really solid. They could've ditched the armor. I liked the "humble begger but I can put lightbolts in yo a## " look better. More god like IMO.

I always been a fan of his Mk4 look and this reminds me of that.

Looked better from afar. I must say this Hi Res doesn't flatter Raiden. That texture on his pants is awful. Looks like he's wearing potato sack fabric. And damn does he look old. He's a god, I'd expect him to have a youthful appearance, of someone say in their mid to early 30's at the very least.

Jack Burton will agree that he did like a more youthful look to Raiden...I don't think I made any mention of that in my earlier posting.
