The sleeveless look with the arm guards ruins it for me. It just doesn't fit Raiden.

Great. But his lightning hand looks odd, like he only has three fingers. Also, is it just me, or is his left shoulder pad merging with the band on his upper arm?

Looks good but I never liked the idea of him having a cape.

For me personally, this is one of the best (if not the best!) renders we've gotten so far. I love it that te sleeves are gone and that we have a blue-white Raiden once again!

I'm also no big fan of the cape, but on the other side... if it suits one character, I think it's Raiden.

Raiden looks awesome.

Thank goodness he's back to being normal and not returning as "Dark Raiden".

He looks really bad. Sleeveless doesn't suit him at all, that loin cloth thing is pointless, and those armbands and shoulder pads look like a last minute addition that they made because they realized how bad he looks without anything on his arms.

And his face looks like Bugs Bunny's.

Okay, okay, okay. I've seen the light. I love that he wears metal to conduct lightning. His shoulder pads looked so out of place in MK4, but it looks right here.

To me though, he just looks like a guy who gets in alot of fights. Or an eternally aged person who messes around with electricity too much.

So I guess I agree with you, but I like that he looks a little older in this one.
Only thing left now is to see if they get close enough to the lightning effect from MK1, some cool special moves, and to get his voice right.




I see what you mean. But at the same time, I like the more humanized Raiden. I think it makes him more reasonably accessible to the other human characters. More likely that he actually could be seen fighting with mortals and not look like he should just demolish everyone.

This one is like a happy medium between MkSm and that one. In the face, it also looks like they aged the Carlos iteration of Raiden from Mk1-2. I think it's right on.
