Didn't think about that possibility. Wouldn't make me any more excited about this T rated, DC infested game here. But it'd certainly be an interesting "secret" to find out about MKvsDC.

I mean, sure, Noob Saibot being in the game could be one obvious thing, but I can't image another realistic reason for spelling Saibot; Tobias on purpose like that.

I think it's John Tobias. I like Noob Saibot alot (he could easily be a secret character in MkvsDC), but I think it's something to do with Tobias. That'd be the heavier hitting point of mentioning him like that.

I don't think that Noob Saibot can be in the game. Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the classic ninjas in the saga, and this game will be a recopilation of the most characteristic fighters and superheroes on both sides, MK and DC, respectly.

About the possibility of a Tobias return... remember UMK3 and the big shit list of ninjas, and MK4 with a poorly Shinnok and storyline... Tobias time it's over in that moment.

But, if we're thinking a little bit... MKM was a great game in the storyline. One of my favorites. Perhaps, if Tobias can do this, probably with Vogel and the rest of MK Team the future of MK (MK8) can be good.

Quick thoughts...

Tobias has a background in comics, this could be why (if he is) he's back involved with MK again. That's all I want Tobias to do. He's not responsible for making the gameplay better guys. I don't see how anyone can argue the early games have a better storyline then the later games. Sure MKA sucks, but MKDA was a great game and possessed a superb storyline that essentially cleaned up so much mess that was around in the first games. If he's back, I hope he's returning in either an Ed Boon role or as a concept artist. Nothing else is needed in my opinion.

I agree. MKDA was a huge improvement over the earlier games, it had a great story. He would probably work best just overseeing character art and all that stuff.

I honestly do not see Noob in this game. So my money is on Tobias is back or Eddy is just fucking with us.

Tobias was the creative force behind the early MK games, he created all the characters and mythology of MK1-MK4. Basically, he created the MK most of us here fell in love with (pre MK:DA). Him being back would be a VERY big deal, no doubt. But if he were back, I think they would have told us by now, it's highly unlikely.

If Tobias has returned, I'll shave my mustache.

I hope Noob is not in the game. There are so many much better characters that I would rather give his spot to. I mean,I used to love him as much as the next guy,but at this point he's got to be the single most overrated character in the entire series. I mean,he started out as a lazy ninja palette swap and,honestly,didn't evolve much beyond that point. What did he ever do to deserve that kind of unwarranted popularity? And yet everybody and their mom is asking for him. WHY?



As for Tobias returning,wow,that would sure be...an interesting turn of events. I mean,I do know that upon leaving Midway he formed his own developer studio,Studio Gigante,who,to the best of my knowledge,released only a single game - Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus. And people hated the shit out of it. Personally,I liked it,but I can see some of the reasons why it bombed.
Tobias is a damn talented writer and artist,but he isn't exactly the incarnation of Jesus a lot of people people make him out to be. Not to mention that he abandoned his child,the series he helped to create,at the time when it needed him the most. And the ones to resurrect the series,take it out of the downwards spiral it went into around the time of MK4's release were the guys that everybody loves to hate - Ed Boon and John Vogel. And if you ask me,Vogel did some very,very interesting things with the storyline and the characters that I couldn't see Tobias do. Speaking of MK4,it was the last project Tobias worked on,and you could really see he lost quite a lot of steam. The character designs were getting increasingly more derivative,and the biographies have started to get redundant. So maybe,just maybe it was for the better when he left. Just throwing that out there.

And now,the way I see it,Boon is maybe possibly taking him back. He's about completely reset the franchise,wipe the slate clean - who is the best person to do it with than the man who help create it?
