I agree with most everyone here, keep em coming real or not. I'm really starting to think they are real. I think it is a viral campaign, and to everyone that says it's not professionally done. i say wait if your going to put out vids that you want people to question there authenticity, you don't show game footage first of all, and second you would do an under the radar quality vid. I've also went back and looked at some of mortal kombats past marketing, and this really fits with their style. Just think about it from the perspective of midway making these vids with the intention of denying them. And that is something that the wonderful mind of mr. boon would do.

The only other possabillity is maybe its created by a mortal kombat fan site to try to draw attention to their web page.

Lets just keep an open mind to all the possibillities..............

I'm one who doesn't loose sight of this sites purpose after all...Which is for pure "entertainment". Just says I won't separate myself from participating, just because I'm also skeptical of the authenticity of the material and information we're getting. I can be diverse without it jeopardizing my character as a person.

And too, last month I can remember people avidly demanding "something...anything".

atually both videos(Rayden's one and the "look to la luna"one) seems to be cool and professionally done.

RAYDEN SHORT TEASER TRAILER: at first i tought it was a obvious fake.
Actually when you start a trailer you talk about useful inofs,and most new infos.
that trailer begun with already known infos,(completely renwed,darker,etc)so everybody was pretty hasty to judge it fake.The final blow was represented by the short clip of a guy really similar to Rayden.
We have tons of pic about Rayden standing proudly under the rain(mk3,mk4 for instance) and everybody told me that was a photoshpped fake version of a old mk4 pic of Rayden.Someone noticed that rayden's nose was "cutted" and in a very hasty way someone toughts it was a hint that the clip regarding Rayden was a fake.
Now i see that trailer thousands of times and really i didn't see any "faked" pic in it,the nose is just small.Rayden 's face looks very "bastard" and angry,too mch serious for our beloved earthrealm protector.
it can be actually the consequence of his "turn heel" after Mortal kombat Deception.
But look at the ps3 logo:it's a old logo,it's not fake,but it's old(taken from ps2 logo?) and also the blood shed in the end of the teaser was a stereitypical gimmick used since Resident Evil for SEGA Saturn.
However the part regarding the logo of MK was too well done for unprofessional video makers:look how good was that part of the video.

i actually think that video was really a leaked trailer,but a old one,dated 2006/7(maybe they planned to sho the game before).In fact if you read an old new you can read that Ed Boon said exlicitally:"We are not ready yet to show the game ".This means that they worked hard on the graphic engine and the first result wasn't satisfactory,so they redone the engine again,this time with good result.
my personal opinion is that they planned to show the game about november/december 2007,but this unluck accident crashed their planes.
in the meanwhile the "MK8 fever" grown up and then midway and Ed Boon choosed to make fun of mk fanbase delaying the presentation of the game at april 2008.(if you read you'll find explicit indications about the first infos in the beginning of the new year,so we thought about january/february of 2008).We're in March and nothing important happened,except for two doubtful trailer and a countdown on Noob.Com,that until two months ago was a empty domain.

so my thoughts are.the rayden's trailer is true,but old and regarding the first development of the game "the ver very beta version" of the game we could say.


SECOND TRAILER"LOOK TO LA LUNA":Actually i think this video is pretty official.In the first 5 secs of the video we didn't see any "Sal divita weared as Nightwolf2 think.During this disturbed period of the movie we see the girl on her red car with a side camera,however this part was "disturbed" 'cause the road and the rest of the scenario was in Computer Graphic and was a obvious fake.Te logo on the car is ver trye,and on the side mirror of the car thre aren't faces reflexed.
interesting thing about the movies are:
1)the girl:her wear is "new fashion"(emo,gothic,dark,etc) and this can refer to the new "look" of the game("renewed"said Boon),mybe hinting as the game to be dark and gothic without losing his natural kidding and comicity(after all the girl in the car looks happy and also gears of war that is the inspiration for Boon & co for mk8 didn't refuse to make sarcasm in some situations).
2)interesting notification is also the part when she drives:if you can drve a car and have a driving license you can understand that she puts the third speed on the gear.This can be a hint about Unreal Engine 3.

false hints:
1)the moon or luna in my native language and also spanish and portoguese it's not a true hint to be considered.as someone said before me:"take it as a grain of salt".
Actually i can't think about the moon being a new realm,and i can't think about a warrior that comes from the moon.The only relationship si about the distance between earth and moon(as someone hinted).

At this point in time i really wish i was Boon so i could read all these blogs and sit back and laugh! Because i think we are all SO off track with everything!! and for all we know The noob site could mean NOTHING AT ALL! he may have just liked a moon and an earth symbol to fill the O's...Dont get me wrong im sitting here too working out what all this could be and the meaning of everything! I just think that Boon and the team are sitting back laughing..

I hope "Look to la luna" is a hint of Reptile returning.

I think the look to the loona is just a reference to link Noob.com and the new vid.....

here is what we do know.

the number 238,868 is most likely a reference to the amount of miles to the moon. I'm assuming it might be a current distance.

and the white line that it is above is simply pointing out that it is in fact the distance from the center of earth to the moon.

the 8's are most likely red to signify mortal kombat 8. I think the release date of 8/8/08 is just looking into it too much.

there is no full moon at the end of the counter. it does not arrive until the 20th of april. a couple days late. so i really don't think that the lunar cycle has anything to do with this hint. It may just be a neato way to get us looking at the moon on his page. This is where the ty-in comes... thats exactly what we are doing... "looking to la luna" which is the first thing we see in the vid.

we also know that the countdown does infact end on midway gamers day. and midway has said they WILL have info about the next gen MK at that day.

overall i think that noob.com is just pointing out gamers day, and just that. but the earth moon thing is just his very subtle way of letting us know the vid is real. throwing in the distance was just to get us to look a little tooooo deep into it.

I love how fans are just SO hungry for ANY bit of info. Anything at all, real or not.

I'm just a natural skeptic and cynic, so, for me, both trailers are major, but well done, fakes. The PMs I got from the poster were rather suspect as well. I'm not the least bit convinced, so I guess I'm finding it rather baffling how the vast majority seems to be taking these so seriously... maybe I should try my hand at this and show off my CGI skills....

... but for some reason, I'm having flashbacks to "super unlockables", "hidden FMV endings", "secret bios", and "Skarlet"....

lol. you guys are waaaaaaaay too over-analytical. i mean, with the distance of the moon and other such mathematical equations. i honestly stopped reading post like those after the second line...cause me head was startin' to hurt. anyways, as far as these videos are concerned i think the Raiden one is legit. it's just too well done. personally, if i were making a fake video i woudn't put so much time and effort into something that could be so easily disregarded.

I think Look to La Luna is a reference to Mortal Kombat. I think this stuff will all be about Mortal Kombat. Except the stuff on Noob.com. That might be about a new NBA Jam, it's too soon to tell really. Take this with a touch of paprika, two nubs of butter, and if you have it, a splash of white vinegar.

Sigh, this always happens, we get some stupid gimmik from some idiot fan, we take it seriously and end up finding out its fake. It happens every freakin time a MK game comes out. I'm not getting my hopes up for MK8, not after MKA, nope.

To be fair, it's not like the clips were particularly malicious, and they were debunked pretty quickly and painlessly. If they aren't in fact made up of obscure clips taken from other material, they're definitely some of the best fan made videos around! Worthy of recognition!

So, if a string of disappointments point toward yet another MK failure to live up to the hype, don't hate the player. Hate the game! Whole heartedly! And maybe John Vogel a little bit... But mostly the game.

I'd give this dude more credit if he actually admitted his vids are fake despite how good or bad they look, instead of claiming they're canon "Midway trailers" fooling and throwing off a lot of fans. Humorous but weak at the same time.

I'll wait til april to get real info, later but as others have said before myself Noob.com and this dude have nothing to do with each other.

If the video is to be believed, then maybe the chick at the end is supposed to be the witch that used to fly by the moon--just made to look less like a stereotypical witch.

Maybe the moon represents that MK8 will be a lot darker than the previous offerings. Or maybe it's just a moon.
