I want no Kreate-a-fatility

would'nt mind Kreate-a-fighter except with more options and detail of course

Scenes like MK4 with the Fighters acting it out not somebody telling nor somebody doing it like in MKA

And maybe some kind of nice Extras Mayb like Mortal Kombat 4:Gold u know they never had a MK4.

- KAK to Return, with a Wider Variety of Styles, Weapons, & Outfits. Maybe In game character preset models. Ever play Wrestlemania X8? You could use in game wrestlers and change they're moves, but not the outfits. Aswell as a LAYER Option. So we can add alot of ITEMS.

- Longer Online Names, 8 Characters is wack.

- Away Message for Online, so ppl won't rapidly challenge you.

- Rank Resets for People who try to Rankwhore Online.

- A Emblem Maker!!! This is a must for KAK's That way we can make clan logo's or W/E Else.

- Morph Mode so we can adjust our KAK's Size, Weight, & Height.
- Options to Kreate, Oni, Shokan, & Centaurs.

- Kreate a Projectile, Color, & Damage Ratio.

- Kreate an Arena. Which you can upload and share with others online. Time Splitters Future Perfect, is a great example.

- Tag Team Mode, Tekken Tag Tournament Type Style.

- MK Bowling, Kinda like Tekken Bowling.

- KAK in Konquest. Be able to use you're KAK in the Konquest mode.

That's all i can think of.

No more gimmicks. Just good damned game play. Solid storyline going back to its roots and this time with animated endings for each character please.

Some solid and more realistic looking graphics. A mix and come back use of digitized actor images but this time, over newly produced high quality 3d models. (basically 20 times better than MK:Gold since thats the last game that used digitized actors over polygon models). Im talking real here! Almost imagine playing a game that looks like the fight between Scorpion and Johnny Cage in hell from the first movie, or Liu Kang and Reptile, etc etc, but beyond anything we've seen.

Darker, eerie, hardcore and realistice shaolin feel to MK again (like MK1 with a blend of MK2). Bring that back because everything is starting to feel like Dungeons and Dragons here.

Konquest mode is always ok for me so long as its better than the last.
Mini games, again gimmicks like these arent needed. Just uses up memory you can invest on gameplay, graphics and over all quality. More isnt always better and MK Armageddon proved that.
Hell, I havent even used about 40 of the 50-60 something characters on that roster yet. haha tongue


And lastly, most importantly, GIVE IT TO US NOW PLEASE!! Aaarggh I cant wait no more!grin

1. A VERY long Konquest mode that is very detailed and difficult.

2. The possibility to play through Konquest mode with each character.

3. Characters that are extremely difficult to unlock(super unlockables).

4. A very dark and scary theme to the game(well, this is pretty much guaranteed already).

5. Only around 4 old characters returning to this game(I'm thinking Sub Zero, Scorpion, Kitana, and somebody else). And these characters should be the super unlockables.

6. The old arcade pillars(you know, where you could select one of the four pillars? I really liked that for some reason).

7. No "heavy" gameplay. I want the game to feel light and comfortable, yet violent and dark at the same time.

8. Unique characters, each having their own special moves.

9. No more fighting stances(this is just my opinion though).

10. No more Kreate a Fatality.

11. Each character having 2 fatalities, 1 brutality, and 1 animality each.

12. Cameo appearances by all of the old MK characters in Konquest mode(well, maybe not ALL of them, but it would be nice to see them imo).

13. Around 25-30 characters(well, I guess more would be fine with me as long as they pull it off correctly).

14. An amazing story that is clear and easy to follow.

15. No more confusion with what's canon and what isn't.

I'm just really hoping Mileena is back. I don't care much about the addition of new characters, I like the old ones better.

Everything un-reasonable at this point. So, I'll just say that I'd "wish" for Excellence in Experience.

Show me how good the game must be, because the franchise is as old as it is.Show me what Mk looks like, mastered.

1). A better Faster and Less buff and Bolgie reasonable Selection of Fighters. (That meaning not to Many Characters)

2). A way to Sprent.

3). Only Arcade and Konquest. No Mini Games. That Including a better Konquest System.

1) 2 personal fatalities for each character.
2) 4 - 5 special moves per character.
3) interactive arena's.
4) The return of the Living Forest and as a stage fatality.
5) intense graphics.
6) Noooooo; KAK, KAF, or Konquest mode.
7) Don't include the other "alities" from the past MK games.
8) Real disgusting/horrifying Fatalities
9) Nooooooooo, Motaro either way (four legs or two legs), Goro, Kintaro, Onaga, Blaze(unless he returns his normal size [MKDA]), Mokap, Moloch, Liu kang, Baraka, and Taven
10) These Characters.......Sektor, Nightwolf, Tanya and Ashrah. Plus some others to return in MK8. tongue

Just three?

1. The ability to re-create any of the past characters in KaK.
2. Ominous secret characters like from MK1 and MK2.
3. A tag mode.

Monsters and stuff is partially what gives Mortal Kombat such an appeal. It's basically a fighting version of D&D! lol.

1. No more mini-games. They are just generic looking, and aren't fun. If you want to make mini-games, make a whole different game for that.

2. No more Konquest. Its repetitive, boring, and painful to go through, specially to try and unlock items.

3. Only have characters that contribute to the story of the game. Don't just throw random characters in the mix for the sake of having new characters. As for returning characters, only bring back those who make sense to bring back.

4. The blood. Limbs. Guts. Need some improvements. Make it more life like, and less like big chunks of meat.

5. Less "plastic", action figure looking characters.

6. Fluid and fun gameplay. Balanced characters.
I'd like to see a diverse and well developed fight system with every character having their unique style.

Make the combat look like a modern kung fu movie fight. Fast and intense.

A mix of Tekken, DOA and Fight Night is kind of what I have in mind.

Play mechanics should be on par with those games.

Avoid adding things that seem too gimmicky, or at least don't make it so obvious. Like if everybody has combo breakers, make them look and maybe work different for every character. Not the same thing for everybody.

Graphics, character models... should be as photo real as possible.

The blocking animations and combat ideas in the Matrix path of Neo are something to look in to.

I would also like for *Shao Kahn* to be in MK8 as a normal playable character. His return as a playable character should involve him trying to regain his throne.

Shao Kahn is the only "BOSS" that I like out of all the other past and present bosses.

Not really. I think that KAK will not return. KAK is krap! The reason why is that it wouldn't have his specials in it, and besides...KAK is lame and bland just like KAF and Konquest! Otherwise as I see it, Kahn's last MK was MK3/UMK3 and MKT. I know that he was included in the Game Cube version, but we(PS2 and Xbox) users got ripped off. Therefore, Kahn returned in MKA...which was cool. I surely hope that he does indeed return in MK8 as a playable character. It's Kahn's time to return! "You weak pathetic Fool", "Don't make me laugh".

Old characters evolved in ways that do them justice

Fatalities that can be done in-match, like special moves in wrestling games, and the ability to avoid or counter these moves

A more fleshed out grappling system.

Art direction on par with the MKII

Fatalities on par with MK4

No stupid fatalities, like neck stretching or other moronic things

Characters should NOT look like bloody popcorn when they blow up

Characters should NOT blow up unnecessarily, like when falling from a great height (the MKII pit fatality with the overhead camera was a million times better than the sky tower fatality from Deception)

HUMAN SMOKE, THE WAY HE LOOKED IN SHAOLIN MONKS

Blood that doesn't look like massive lumps of red Play-Do, or roll down characters in drops the size of baseballs-- seriously, WTF??

Characters that don't look like they're made of plastic

Animation that isn't all stiff. I could animate a Barbie doll better than the animation in MKDA thru MKA. Those three games and the Smackdown! series should get the "Worst Animation in a Video Game, Ever" Award.

Graphics that are at least on par with Shaolin Monks.

Whoever wrote the story for Armageddon should be fired.

Whoever designed Smoke's new outfit should be fired.

Whoever designed Reptile in DA should also be fired.

Gameplay that is a mix of WWF No Mercy and Versus mode in Shaolin Monks. Free form movement, the ability to target between separate opponents, etc.

The ability to have more than 2 people participate in a match.

No red or yellow lines marking deathtrap areas. How stupid does Midway think we are?

The facial damage was a an OK idea, but seriously, lose it. It's kinda hard for Sonya to be a sex symbol when she has all her teeth missing.

No DC shit

Good looking and realistic blood and gore

If fighting styles are to be used make sure they are authentic

Realistic graphics

Bring back create a fatality except make there be a shit load of options to choose from and have character specific ones as well. So for example, one for Sub Zero is he would be able to do a deep freeze on your opponents head and then (kick/punch it off, cut it off or do something else to it). SO with this branching system, you can have one thing lead to another. I'm sure it would be challenging though to make the animations for each transition look fluid.

Bring back deathtraps and make them only available as a fatality.


This is the main stuff that should be done. Everything else falls out of the "true fighting game" spectrum.

What i would like for mk8

Is the game to up to its expectations or higher
pictured endings that are not crap (i hated the last games endings)
improved fighting system
Improved kak
actual fatalities back for the kharacters
option for giving kharacters and kak made up fatatilies
More moves for each styles (or merging some of them)
being able to run
More interactions with the stage.

10) Cut scenes: Like Twisted Metal Black, MK should have cut scenes for the intro, the middle and the ending for each character. Oh yeah, and how about this? The ability to watch all of the cut scenes together as one movie after you've unlocked them all?

11) Single player modes: There should be a LOT more modes for fighting offline. Not just story, versus and practice. How about tag team?
11a) Survival?
11b) Create a tournament? (you and 3 friends offline select 4 fighters and duke it out until there's a champion or you and 15 people online select a fighter)?
11c) How about a team battle mode?
11d) How about 4 players in the same match? The list goes on and on.

12) Fatality consequences: If you rip a guys heart out in the story mode, he shouldn't be available at the select screen when you continue. But if you don't kill a character, they should be available, and you pick up that characters story from the beginning.

13) Realistic fatalities: No more 18 rib cages popping out of one person. But also, fatities should be cut scene quality, and there should be close ups of bones snapping, realistic blood spilling from a hole or wound, tissue being shredded etc. In other words, bring the shock factor back.

14) Grown up plot lines: Make me care about the characters. I want to hate characters for who they are, not how they play. I want to see plots involving love, trust, tragedgy, triumph, intrigue, mysteries, suspense, etc etc. I also want to see characters that aren't pure good or pure evil.

15) No more ressurections: There shouldn't be a belief that "no one ever really stays dead in mortal kombat." Deaths would carry more weight if a character who dies in a storyline actually stays dead.

16) Combine the old with the new: There has to be a better way of combining the fast, special move laden gameplay of the past with the modern 3D fighting games on the market.

17) No more extra modes: If you want to create an MK action game, or RPG, or kart racing game etc, than make it separate. Make a whole Mario Party style game with minigames like Test your might, MK chess etc, but don't waste time and resources on putting this modes into a numbered MK game because they add nothing and take away from fighting modes.

18) Super Unlockables: A myth in past games, I'd like to see a roster of about 10 characters to start with, 10 that are unlockable through the story mode and 4 super unlockables, maybe a character or two from the past that would be very surprising to see again, and a character or two from the story modes that seemed to be on the fringe, but players that I'd want to fight as, and make them hard to find.

19) No more standardized secrets: I want to see secrets in th game, but not in krypt of 600 or whatever. Allow me to unlock worth while secrets through playing the game, not buying them. Also, make the secrets worh finding. I like the trading cards, the interview content, alt outfits and hidden characters (maybe even art for characters that didn't make the final cut or differences in the look of a character at the beginning versus how they turned out in the end) but leave out the huge amount of crap that isn't even worth looking at, much less unlocking. Besides, alot of this stuff should be available as bonus material that should be unlocked in bulk. One big secret.

20) Koins: I think that they should bring these back, but for two specific purposes. First, if you're going to have a ton of stuff for create a character mode, then you should have to purchase it. The MK team creates this sort of Forbidden City (in appearance anyways) and you have a shop for clothing, a shop for outer look (everything from facial hair, earings tattoos etc) and a dojo for special moves and fighting styles. You also use the koins for wagering against people online or at home. It's just a little something that adds to each bout. This could remain relevant if the MK team supports the game by putting out downloadable content.
20a) Downloadable content/store released expansion packs: Not just new outfits, special moves etc for kreate a kharacter, but perhaps new backgrounds, a new character or two, and patches for fixing F'd up aspects of the game. They could be downloadable, or for maybe five or ten dollars, you could buy it at the store for those without internet access for their systems.

Well, that's what I've got so far. Thoughts?


Really good ideas here. Yes yes YES! This is what we are looking for. The MK team should include this for a portion of their game.
