Who will be the Joke Characters?

It's MK tradition now. Every MK game has to have some random as hell ridiculous character, be he Rain, Stryker, Mokap, or Meat.

So, who are some contenders for the "Joke" character now? And, no, The Joker doesn't count.

I was thinking something along the lines of The Wonder Twins (tag-teaming like Noob-Smoke), Bat-mite, Aquaman, or Mister Mxyzptlk (if only to hear the poor deep-voiced announcer try to say his name...)

I think it's Palmiotti or however he spells it. I mean really, a DC writer as a character? that's more bullshit than Jax being in the game.

None hopefully.

And if they need one, best one to pick is the guy who no longer feels like a joke thanks to MKA: Johnny Cage.

I dont want a spot or 2 wasted on "joke" characters that arent even funny.

Really, I don't understand how MKA made Johnny less of a joke, not that he has been a joke lately anyway. Really, that whole game was a joke in itself.

Unfortunately, there aren't any elaborated joke/freak characters on the MK side. If anything, they rather turn serious...

Joke characters get on my nerves because when you name all playable characters in a cool game, you have to include that idiotic clown among the badass fighters in the list.

They better not make Jax a joke in this game or I'll be pissed. Drop the gangsta and portray him as the major that he is.

I agree. Its hard enuff to accept the merger to begin with.
So please no joke characters. Even though the one dude is
like going to be in there hidden or something. If so he can stay hidden.

If they decide to add him in, Johnny Cage would be the comic relief for the Mortal Kombat side.

And I would expect the Flash to be a sarcastic character as well. I would say that Flash would be Johnny Cage's counter-part just like Superman would be Scorpion's and Sub-Zero as Batman's

Please dear lord no joke characters. If this is suppose to be the gritty, dark game Ed promised, he will not taint it by including stupid people that don't even need to be in it.

Er, you do realize this game has Superman and Captain Marvel in it. Yeah, Captain Marvel just screams dark and gritty (actually, he screams "Shazam!").... I think MK9 is going to be the MK8 "dark and gritty" we were promised.

Seriously, no love for The Legion of Super-Pets? I'm disappointed in you all...

Well, as Garlador already pointed out, we have Captain Marvel. If they do somehow put in Mister Mxyzptlk, they need to have Gilbert Gottfried do his voice.

Well some Liu Kang fans might hate me I believe he is a Joke for the MK side seriously the dude was a freaking zombie suppose 2 be dead and hopefully he wont make as many noises as he did in games he did in the past other wise ill have 2 turn down the volume.

her costume sucks, her origin is lame, her name is ridiculous, the invisible jet, a spiffy lasso, and a tiara? powers? super strength and dull bracelets. wheee. yeah she's not a joke. bring on streaky the super cat anyday over this overrated wench.
