Trax, it has nothing to do with 'no rules', because there were rules, the mods were just lenient on them for the most part, just like JTF and Bobby were. The thing is, is that JTF just handled the whole situation poorly, that's all I've got to say on that topic.
As far as MeSo, Azuro, and myself 'apologizing' for what happened, I sure as fuck will not apologize, nor will I go back if it does get re-opened, banned or not. I saw too many shady, immature antics, that I am not willing to be associated with that.

@Trax I don't think it was the rules at all. JTF was like one very active mod. We had rules to go by there but not as strict as they are here.

Yes, what happend in the events of mkc getting shut down was personal affairs. A grown man who cant control his emotions so he just runs and hide from the situation instead of handling things in a more sensible mature manner.

I hope MKC opens up again soon, although I might not be the best player on the site, I still enjoy the forums, discussions, and ultimately the community there. btw, does Booya have a MKO account?

@ Rippa and Devil: I agree that in the past, the mods here have been too strict with their application of authority. I've raised this in the past but it's never gone out of hand to the extent that I'm flaming any of them or them banning me. Again, this comes down to respect and participating in dialogue to get problems solved. There is no utopic world when it comes to online forums but you can strive to strike the right balance. I think MKO has done that more than MKC.

guys... i have been banned from mkc 2x's . once for a week and once for a month (which is currently underway). ya know what though? both times i got banned is because i argued with jtf about how he saw the game and some of its game play aspects.

meso hit it on the head.... as soon as you argue with jtf its over for you...

i don't know what happened exactly with meso (im going to read every post) but i could imagine it was somewhat of a disagreement and jtf starting throwing around "you must respect me and the mods" "your banned until you learn your lesson"

Well if you dont respect the Mods, theres no point in being mods. That doesnt mean they have to be dicks however.


One Thing I want to add is this, throughout all the posts in this thread no one has said one bad thing about the actual Site MKC. We need to remember that JTF created the site for us. We all helped contribute to the Ideas of the site, But JTF ultimately made it happen. Yes, Im gonna admit, he seems like something has thrown him off his handlebars the last couple months, and I wouldnt say Im defending him, but he has seemed very on edge and Im assuming its probably some personal problems that have overflowed into this. So I guess what im trying to say is that it seems MKC is behind us, to just thank JTF for the experiences, and all the people he helped us bring into the world of MK, and say sorry he couldnt join us in the future.


Oh ya, and if Wiido is around Im gonna need that logo again, haha I never got a chance to copy it from MKC.

I don't have any knowledge of the person, or the site you guys are used to using but, you gotta use the PMs, AIM, MSN, or if you're a bold soul, even your own sig space on MKO for purposes of soliciting your own site. You gotta stay off my radar.

Couple people here are saying that they don't know the rules of this site. Well... takes about 5-10mins if you're like me, a slow reader. MKFlegend read it, and stayed off the radar for years.

For sure! We should try and move away from the I am bigger or better than you era. It complicates everything. Gerchap, you've stepped up and done great with the new site though, I have to give you props for that because frankly, I think the volatility within XBL community won't survive on MKO and would always lead to drama. I hope you can control that now but I trust you to keep it all together.

I have never had any real problems with MKO. I think the forum software is outdated and some of the mods are a little harsh but this site isn't really that bad. It's just a matter of choice.

It's a little odd that whenever JTF throws a hissy fit everyone comes here to discuss it, then once "everything is okay!", everyone leaves. But it's a neverending cycle... you all seem to come back... and JTF is who he is, and he's been that way for years. It will keep happening until he leaves the community. I used to have some amount of faith people would begin to see that, but I doubt it more than ever honestly.

But whatever I suppose. This isn't a harmful thread and despite the fact I know a lot of you don't like me personally and many of my mods, using this site temporarily to help this community figure out what it wants to do is fine. I don't particularly like it, but so long as you all stay within reason it won't be prohibited. As far as the comments about site superiority, yeah. This is a news site mostly, it's what we do. It's what this site has always done; we report. The forums were created basically just to discuss the news and share ideas. Online play was added and there wasn't much of anything we could do with the current format. I personally would like to have some sort of interactivity in the future, but I am not the webmaster or the administrator, and I cannot say for sure if any features will ever come about or when they will come about. However, I have shared my ideas for improvements for the online play sections and will continue to do so. It's more or less a matter of time however.

Think what you want about JTF. In the end, almost everyone will agree that he did create a wonderful atmosphere for high level players; a base, if you will, that used to visit this Web site every day even years after games, such as MK:D, have been released. You will never get such loyalty fromthe majority of folks who populate MKO this minute. I have suggested numerous ideas to improve MKO as have many others. Nothing ever gets implemented. Nothing ever changes aside from the Boon-ass-kissing and power-driven moderators that your crew exhibits on a monthly basis.

In any event, JTF and MKC are gone now. It is in the past. Gerchap, a figure who is undeniably nowhere near as controversial as JTF, has already made a Web site to replace MKC. So far, almost everyone has made the switch.

I tried to join MKC because I saw some interesting topics and had a few ideas about MK/DC...... but was banned immediately. I guess JTF still has a grudge against me.

Oh well. Moving right along............

I just bought a 360. I am SLOWLY getting into the few games I bought. Soul Caliber being one of them. Getting the hang of it. Im only using one character for now. It gets better after the first few days but.....I dont know....it seems too cartoon-ish. And I have to start optimatch after one game. I dont even know who Im challenging.

But it does seem somewhat balanced and competitive.
